    Will this mount still cover the whole space if the D1 extension set is in use?

    • @peterromano6905

      No it will not. With the extension kit you will need to mount a Lightburn camera really high to see the entire work area. I would suggest using the Myers woodshop Lightburn camera mount. It is on his Etsy store

    I bought the enclosure that xtools sells. Not thinking about cameras at the time. Is there a mount/camera system that will work with the enclosure, or maybe I just need to return that and just do a camera and no enclosure?

      Hey thanks for reaching out. I am not sure if it will or not. But here are the measurements of my mount while on the machine. The measurement from the top of the steel angle to the top of my mount is 344.50 mm. Now if you need the extension for the 120 degree camera you will need to add 105mm.

      @@RowdyRoman That is about 2 inches too tall to fit in the stock case sold by xtools with no additional risers. So I'm going to have to go with a different case if I want to get that kind of height. I think that might temp solution is to see if I can mount a camera on some pegboard and just pull the xtools cover during calibration and put it back on for burn. Also, I think that I'm going to try configuration with a 4k brio camera, with the understanding that maybe lightburn won't support that. I don't know, didn't look it up. If it doesn't work I'll just use the brio for monitoring / streaming and I'll mount a lightburn camera on the other side.

      @@TrevorGreen I'm in the same boat. I contacted Xtools support and they will charge 20% restocking fee plus you have to pay the shipping :(

      @@1-Nice-Guy the mount is designed for the Lightburn 5mp 120, 140, 150, or 160 degree camera. There are knock offs on alibaba but it has mixed reviews.

      @@peterromano6905 I’m a total newbie, do I want a high or low degree camera? No idea what the difference is or advantage?

    • @peterromano6905
      @peterromano6905 2 года назад +2

      @@1-Nice-Guy hey no problem! The degree is the angle of what the lens sees. So if you get the 120 degree camera then the mounting distance will have to be greater. The larger degrees is more like a wide angle lens. Or like a fisheye lens. FYI when purchasing my mount the mount for the 120 degree camera is more because the mount has to be taller. So if you can get the other degrees then you will save some money. Hope that helps

      Ahhh. All will work the same. However you can save some money from me if you get the 140, 150, or 160. Because the 120 needs additional height and therefore takes me longer to print. Hope that helps
