    Clear and helpful information. I would like some tips on organising a notebook and using setup sheets. Mine all get chaotic after 2 races.

    • @jbtricklerc
      @jbtricklerc  3 года назад +1

      Fierce Fighting Robots I appreciate the comment and support! Trust me I can totally understand how that can be. My notes and sheets can get like that too. The best advice I could give there is categorize the notebook, have your setup and tuning notes in one sections, your written notes in another and if your setup sheets becaome chaotic with lots of writing create a new updated one with the added notes to it. I have to rewrite some of my setup sheets over time as well for this very reason. Thank you again and best of luck in all your RC adventures.

    Thanks for the tips. Very useful for someone like me who is finding that there's so much to keep track of on a race day. Your tip of getting to practice days are critical to getting familiar with the track setting and the gear needed. It also gets you driving in traffic and used to that

    Thanks JB! I can agree with being packed up and ready to go on race day. I have procrastinated several times throughout the week then come race day and talk myself out of going because I have x, y and z to do before I’m ready.

    Great tips here. I didn't race much this year but travelled up to Ohio to race 12th scale onroad with some friends at the Halloween Classic. I built a new car for one of the classes but it didn't pass tech for axle width or weight and I lost a lot of track time getting the cars set up, all of which could have been done ahead of time before the trip.

    • @jbtricklerc
      @jbtricklerc  2 года назад +1

      @@davelyons9672 great question. Once I found a baseline setup that I stuck with I had the setup sheet for that. then I'd take notes of what changes I made that night and several variables go into play. Track surface notes, was it high bite, wet, slick, dry etc. Note what changes were made and if they helped or not. You'll end up with several pages, but you'll end up reviewing them more over time. Just note everything neatly and organized that way you are not hunting information for too long.
