I appreciate this video. I have a fairly big yard that takes about two hours to mow and then it started shutting off after a few seconds when I start it. I have no experience with this sort of thing so I was very grateful to find this video that can help me get her running again. Thank you so much.
THANK YOU SUPER MUCH! My lawn mower was bought yesterday and it wouldn’t run I couldn’t figure out why everything was good! I took it apart like you did and BOOM! It worked! Thank you so much!!
Awesome video. Thanks much for taking the time to make it. My mower exactly the same as video is giving me the same problems roughly. I checked oil and put a new spark plug in. Guess it's time I give this a try myself. 😂
I did everything, but my mower still want stay crank😢 if I pour gas on the side where the filter is it cranks but then turns off shortly after. Please help
I put a new blade and spark plug on mine and it still won't start so i did everything in this video except replace the tiny red gasket. When i put it all back together it is leaking gas from the primer button area. Do i need a new piece somewhere or did i maybe do something wrong?
Hi Mark I don't like telling a man his business but from past experience don't ever use a drill on a plastic carb lawnmower you could strip out the screws and then be up shit creek
Ours is leaking gas out of the carb,I took the filter, prime bulb off an the plastic outside an with the gas in the tank it pours from the inside of the red gasket through that white piece in the middle. What could it be?
Well, if the owner of this mower had done the simple preventive maintenance (oil changes, spark-plug changes, air-filter changes) and kept their mower clean, I suspect they wouldn't have needed this level of service. I own a Hypertough 20-inch mower, like this one, and all I've needed to do was change the blade, perform seasonal maintenance and use stabilized gasoline. The OEM blade isn't the best, so I replaced it with a high-lift blade. The new high-lift blade cuts better and the motor runs consistently (without surging). Additional ground clearance was a side-bonus. I reckon the OEM blade wasn't the best combination with the engine's govenor system. I am grateful you shared this video. I got to see portions of the Briggs & Stratton engine that wouldn't otherwise see. Overall, I think these mowers are a good value for the money.
So, either you refused to re-shoot the video when you went out of viewing range during the most important aspect of the entire video (the cleaning of the jets), or you're afraid you'll lose business if you show people how to do the job. Either way, it shows why you have so few subs and why good mechanics who are confident in their abilities and who show people how to actually fix their small engines, have over 500K.

Working On 1 Today & Hopefully It Runs Tomorrow ✅ Great Video! 😎
Have fun!
I cleaned the carb 3x and it still wouldn't start...but I then I saw how you snapped the o-rings in around 5:57 and that was my problem....
Mark is best teacher I have seen ever.

What size did you use to remove the spark plug
5/8 sparkplug
Thanks!
Any room on the fuel line to add a shut off valve??
yes but if the carb is working right you don't need one
Is there supposed to be line connected to the top left of gas tank?
No. I believe that's the breather
No what that is is a flow back and it goes strait to your filter

did you replace the needle and seat
No I haven't yet
Is there a link to that specific part that I can order?
I replaced the needle and seat with new ones. No more gas leaking 🎉 but it won't start still. What am I missing?
hopefully this works, thanks for the help!

I bought one a month ago, mowed three times w it and I have this issue, how would preventative maintenance helped
my hyper tough won't prime
does the primer work off the carb.
You know that there is 2 of each and you still switch the sockets for each screw. My goodness.
