We recently took the Mockingbird Single Stroller through TSA and on a flight because it was the only stroller we had at the time. I will tell you right off the bat, we will not be doing that again. As much as I love using the Mockingbird as a daily (nice weather) driver, it was not designed to be travelled with. We did however find a better option that works much better and makes traveling a lot more hassle free.

What's up everyone!? So stoked to have you here at the Active Dad community! My name is Jimmy and I have an amazing wife named Meg. We live in Arizona with our son, Brady, that was born in January of 2020. He such a sweet, happy boy and has learned a lot already. We got him a helmet to fix plagiocephaly around 5-1/2 helmets so be sure to follow along with his progress! My wife and I are both very active people who love camping, hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, wakeboarding and many others. Probably the thing that I'm most excited about with being a parent, is teaching my kids about all the fun activities there are to do in this world that I love.
We post multiple videos a week and would love to have you follow along on our journey!

I've created a playlist with all the videos I've made on the Mockingbird Single Stroller: ruclips.net/video/d4uSuHFYjLY/видео.html
Very sturdy in comparison to other strollers that we had. I get a lot of compliments for it. My baby loves being in the bassinet, The ruclips.net/user/postUgkx4qZutfp1y5CaTUcMTuFPbARE5u-8XLiE stroller comfortable. I like the rain cover and the white net that comes with it. I use the rain cover just to cover the car seat when it rains. If your front wheels don't turn well, make sure you lubricate.
YES! We just received the mockingbird we ordered and were HUGELY disappointed with how it folds up. Even not for travel it's a huge pain. Other cheaper strollers we've dealt with or borrowed fold up much better or roll on the back wheels when they fold up or have a handle when they fold up. The "handle" when folded is an awkward angle and is NOT conducive for any sort of carrying other than getting it out of your car or putting it back in.
Another confirmation as to why i won't be getting this stroller! sooo helpful
Thanks for the review. Before the pandemic, my family would travel a lot to see the in-laws over seas. I definitely need a stroller I can check in.
I can just picture that foot rest breaking off!
The stroller itself is very durable and I don't think the footrest would actually break off especially once it is in the bag. Mockingbird actually reached out to me to clarify that they recommend the Bugaboo stroller bag to people who would like to take this stroller on an airplane. The stroller is meant to be you're everyday stroller, not your travel stroller.
Exactly the video I was looking for. Appreciate this so much! Definitely subscribing
I’m confused about this review. The footrest on the seat completely folds backwards so it’s flush and compact with the stroller; it doesn’t have to stick out like that. I think you maybe missed this foldable feature.
Yeah he definitely missed that part...
He also missed the fact you can just detach the seat completely which his how we do it LOL
There’s plenary of airline approved bags I bought for both car seat and stroller and they have back back straps
And carry straps . That bag is mainly to keep the dust off in storage . Thanks for the review I was curious about how it would do though Tsa . I’m interested in this instead of the uppa baby for my second stroller .
Great video, thank you!
Thank you! Glad it could be helpful!
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing! The $12 JL Childress stroller bag from Amazon is a total game changer, can’t believe how crummy the mockingbird bag is. I think I’ll stick with my cheap travel stroller after seeing this, thanks!!
Yes do that! Just checked out fhe bag you mentioned and it seems like a good alternative to Mockingbird one. At least it has a handle! Thanks for sharing!
Great video! Informative and funny
Thank you! 😎
Thanks for this!!
You bet! Glad it helped.
Watched this on the way to the airport and feeling doomed lol. Jk good tips bro!
Does everyone put bags on their strollers when they check at gate ?
Lol omg great review .
I didn't love traveling with this stroller either. I did not, however, have to put it on the belt. Might have been because I was alone with my 7 month old and it would have been impossible to do that and hold her. Idk.
Edit: I also hated that storage bag and the shape of the stroller folded up. It was impossible traveling with baby alone when it came time to get it out of the bag and open it while holding a bag and the baby.
Why wouldn’t you take the seat off and have his car seat on it? Since you need it for travel anyway?
That is an option if your baby is still in an infant car seat. Ours was too big for the infant car seat at this point.
Could the summer mini stroller just go in the storage bins up top?
Man, this is an amazing video! THANK YOU! LOL planning the first travel with our 7 month old and wondering how the mockingbird would be (because it's so bulky). Yep. Not taking it with us
Great video! What’s the helmet that little Brady has? Does that help with airplane traveling?
Thank you! No, the helmet is a type of corrective therapy for fix a flat spot on his head. He had to wear it for 12 weeks.
What did you do for a car seat at your destination?
Free rental from Hertz with AAA
Your problem was you bought a dual stroller. Single strollers are much more compact than that mockingbird
This is a single stroller
Watched this on the way to the airport and feeling doomed lol. Jk good tips bro!
