Paul said thank you for the shout out! We appreciate it 😊 Many junior doctors ask us about the rest of the process but we only deal with the notarisation so will link them to your channel- you've laid everything out so clearly, very helpful!
Me watching this after just applying for my visa and medical check a whole year after this video influenced me to apply to australia... Thanks for sharing this info. You have no idea how much this helped
Hello Surina! Your videos have been sooo helpful especially since videos on fy3 in australia are so rare! Could you please make a video on how to get a training job in australia after F2? Surgical training to be exact 😅
Oh ok thank you for the heads up! Also you had mentioned about getting your documents notarized, should i be getting it notarized from where i did my medical school ? I did my mbbs in India
This is the best video I’ve seen on this topic! Thank you so much for this useful video!!! It’s super informative and really clear and well explained for what seems like quite a convoluted process!
Excellent work, Surina, but you omitted to include details of your dodgy mate "Paul" in Glasgow. Do we look under "Certified Notary; Pre Loved Auto Trader and Tarmacadam Driveway Contractor"... haha but seriously, why a notary so far from Londinium? Clearly, your accent suggests little time spent North of the Border. Well, North generally I would have thought.
Hi, thanks for your videos. Many of us are grateful for the content you provide. If I may ask (as a medical student in the UK) is it possible to pursue a career in Surgery in Australia as an IMG? A lot of the information online seems quite discouraging.
Sure is if you're will to put in a lot of work in to your portfolio and several years of non-training surgical jobs before you get on to the training programme (typically) - not impossible but definitely a few more hoops to jump through (esp as an IMG)
Hey ! Thank you for the very informative video series. I am an IMG in UK and I have a couple of questions. 1. Can I apply for the Australian provisional license before completing 1 year work period in UK? 2. Can I apply for jobs in Australia prior to getting the provisional Australian license ?
Thank you! You explain everything so clearly and make it so much easier. I’m currently in India and planning to do my core psych training in the UK. Do you feel I could get specialty training in Australia after 3 years of core training or would I have to repeat the training there? Or should I wait till I receive a CCT and then plan on deciding to move?
I think it is generally harder to come during training, before starting or after CCTing seem to be the two main routes. Not sure for psych specifically though.
Thanks for explaining in detail. Can GMC registeted doctor go for a clinical attachment without Australian Med Council registration? Plan is to visit and test the waters before making final decision of relocation. Many thanks
It would definitely be a video my partner (doctor) and I would watch. We're thinking of emigrating permanently but are wondering how quick he can apply to a specialty training programme after receiving full registration following his first year, likely from being an RMO. I think one of our concerns are what happens after he finishes a 1-year post as an RMO, and how easy it is to find another posting, and then what happens if he struggles to find another job quickly? So much we still need to look into, but your videos have helped with a lot of the legwork so thank you :)
Thank you for the very informative video, it was very helpful. I have a question. I did my internship in India 5 years ago and then worked in India for 3 years. After that, I completed the PLAB and started working in the UK, where I've completed 12 months as a clinical fellow in dermatology (supervised practise, but cannot be considered as an internship). I’ve received a job offer in Australia and am currently applying for AHPRA provisional registration. For question number 13 on the APRI-30 form (internship or comparable), which internship should I provide as proof? Should it be my internship in India or my 12 months of experience in the UK? If it's the UK experience, what kind of letter should it be, and from whom?
Hii dii..I’m from indian and you’re new subscriber..I’m in class 12th PCMB student..I also want to pursue MBBS in australia.. can you please tell how can go for this i mean which exam i have to give for doing medicine in abroad.. Thank you ❤️
In the 60s I was about 5y old, my dad had planned to immigrate to oz for £10, but my older sis got pregnant, so we didn't go, I'm a 62y old bloke now, talk about sliding doors. Also, There's too many creepy crawlers and things that can kill you for me. Good luck.
Hey so basically there is an open option to relocate while doing residency training to Australia or New Zealand? Is it some kinda exchange program, and will it be possible while doing us residency Thanks for your crisp and informative video , keep it coming!
From what I've heard from the surgical trainees they can be placed between Aus and NZ and often move around between the two during their training years
If we came in 482 visa then should we have to work in same hospital which sponsered visa until we get PR/ctizenship or we can change jobs and work in other hospitals. And if we keep changing jobs then will that affect or prolongs duration to get PR/citizenship. I hope u will reply
I haven't done this so not too sure at the moment. Generally speaking it requires quite a few years of doing non training jobs as it is hard to get on to training programmes
Hi Thanks for sharing your experience. I would like to know if I would be able claim back any tax I paid during my stay in the UK if I decide to migrate to Australia for work/PR. Appreciate your reply. Thanks
@@drsurinataneja Thank you for your reply. Would I be able to claim any pension already paid during my stay in the UK if I decided to migrate to Australia. Appreciate your reply. Thanks a lot
Do you know anything about UK graduates working in Australia who also have Australian citizenship? I'm a dual UK/Oz citizen and have both passports, so presumably wouldn't need a visa (I don't need one to enter Australia) but I wonder how it would change my application to work there, and whether they'd still consider me an international doctor. I have a UK medical degree & GMC registration
Some of my friends had dual citizenship and did not have to apply for a working visa like I did! They were definitely still considered and have jobs here now :)
1. For the Temporary Skills Shortage Visa (TSS) 482. May I know are you on short-term, medium-term or labour agreement term? 2. Since each of those have a maximum years allowed to work, is your employer ready to support your TSS visa renewal if you choose to do so?
Ma'am , I am a IMG from India , Cleared Plab 1 and Plab 2...Will get full gmc registration soon.....I have a query regarding full general registration with apra and amc. How much time you have to work to get full registration with amc and Are there any specific rotations required in different departments for getting full registration with amc and apra? Or we can just work in any department and get full registration.? I am really confused..Please help me out.
hi...it was a wonderful video..Thank you for explaining everything in detail..am a dermatologist from india with 4 years of experience. What are the chances of accepting through specialty pathway for Indian graduates in australia
Could you please do a video on the steps it takes from an fy1 to consultant and how the pay grade works? Cuz I’ve seen charts online but there so confusing with ct1-4 and srt1-6. Isn’t it supposed to be two years of foundation, three years of core and three years of specialty?
There’s no videos explaining the ladder of steps and it would be highly appreciated if you could because you have an eloquent way of explaining things, may God bless you
This video is more helpful than any source of information that exists literally anywhere. It is my primary if not sole guide for Australia. THANK YOU!

With minor differences, this is largely the process IMGs need to go through to register with the GMC in order to work in the UK.

Great video but I have to say Glasgow isn't in the north of England it's north of the UK in Scotland!

I think she meant Gloucester. I used Paul's services for my own application & it seems he's in Gloucester... As opposed to Glasgow.

Pretty easy at the time I went - about 1 week of flat hunting/viewing before finding one that suited
Thanks for this
Hi Surina, I was looking at the Queensland JMO campaign. It is already asking for certified copies of medical degree. Is that right? At this stage?

Hi Surina, in terms of degree certificates- did any hospitals ask for academic transcripts?
I'm glad the algorithm gods recommended this channel to me.

No, all via email :)
So am I correct in thinking you apply for jobs first, get accepted and then sort out all the paperwork visas etc?

Quick question: vaccine history as in covid vaccinations? Or everything from childhood?
Does anyone know if we have to pay for health insurance cover for visa purposes?
How to get into specialist training? Plz make a video on it there is no recent video on RUclips...
