Brilliant. Nice and simply taught
thanks.
Im gonna try this with my frenchie because i want him to learn some tricks but not just that t really helps to discipline my dog too! Thank you!
Thanks for the video. I’m getting a Aussie soon, and I can’t wait to train him!
This video was amazing I love your channel ❤️
Your are a very very good dog trainer
Amazing! Thank you. I love the calm energy you´re sending out.
thank you
Really well done video - thank you for putting this together!
you bet thank you
thank you so much for this video
Very good dog trainer it worked
I did this with my two wiemaraners! So amazing when you teach them to walk backwards. Doing it without a wall is nearly impossible though. I used one of my hallways and it was perfect because either way the dog will always be on the wall. Don’t try without a wall haha.
Thank you for the hallway idea!!
Love it. nice work
This is great!
Thanks!
I have a corgi and i think i will have a pain in my neck tomorrow from looking down. Thank you for the video!
Oh my gosh! Loved the video! Explained very well! I watched a lot of videos and this one has helped me the best!
so good. awesome to hear
Thanks bro!
This was very helpful! Thank you 🥰
I'm so glad!
Nice video brother 👊
I’ve seen days of watching countless videos to help me with this technique that didn’t really help, YOURS is the BEST and most HELPFUL video OUT there! Thank you so much!!!
so good to hear it. thank you.
Subscribed. You have some quality content man.
Brilliant video. I've started it with my 4 month old lab. Getting him to walk backwards is proving to be a bit tricky as he tends to sit as soon as I step back.
yes that is one of the main challenges. stay consistent and don't reward if they sit
hi, this was really useful since I am getting a puppy in January and have no enclosed space to play/walk. What do you do it the dog jumps up?!
When the dog is little you really want to make sure that you aren't rewarding any jumping up behavior. So if the dog has it's paws up on your leg do not pet the dog or pay any attention to it. I will also move my leg so they aren't able to do this. Pay attention to every little behavior your puppy is doing and if you don't want that behavior when they are an adult then make sure you aren't rewarding those behaviors at all. Remember that giving attention to a dog is also considered a reward.
@@DadDare thank you- this was really helpful!
@@DadDare This is exactly right! I have one more tip that I saw in a video, you could put a leash (if you have, you mentioned you didn't have an enclosed space for walking and playing), but when you do you don't have to hold the leash and when they start jumping, step on the leash and do not give them attention. When the dog stops and looks at you or does not do anything, reward them because this is a behavior you want.
What kind of puppy did you get ?
They make it look easier than it is
quality content ! thank you. you are made for being a youtube creator !
Hey thank you.
thank you
This was very Helpful! Thank you!
Very well explained 🌞 Thank you 👌✨
Thx for video! So if you train them when they’re a puppy and you want to walk him without a leash on the street with distractions etc. does that work? I often see people walking their dogs without a leash with and no E collar and I’m wondering how they did it. So this is how they would do it? Is it reliable when you walk on the sidewalks? I’ve used E-collars before for heel without using a leash / but would love to be able to do that without e-collar especially with high drive dogs. Ty in advance!
Just subscribed I have a 6 month boxer and a 3 year old boxer and have just had a baby so finding walks really difficult with all 3 of them how long would you suggest to train each day ? Wanting to train both dogs will do them separately.
Thank you!! Starting today with my 6mo pup. Would like some estimate on timelines i always worry im doing too much at once.
Focus on one or two subjects a day it shouldn’t be too much
This is the first video I've seen of urs. Do u have a video on how to keep them from running infront of u when running with them. My puppy runs or zig zagz infront of me, he has been stepped on and I landed on top of him a few times.
So good! Thank you
Thank you i subbed also one question what if i don't have a 10 pound circle plate is it neccesary?
Use something else the dog can step on. A text book, a bowl upside down, a small box, a brick. etc.
Hi. I have mixed feeling, I hope you can help me: I have a 4 or 5 yo rescued doberman. He is very sweet and mostly well behaved, however while walking he just love to sniff and keep walking infront. He walks a couple of feet and then waits for me and so on. I´d like to let him free and snif, but there are some times I´d like him to walk with me. Should I do the method of stoping? That would mean that the 30 or 40 min walk we would advance a few meters only. Thats the way? And should I do this most of the time? or a few minutes in each walk?
This is great! My dog, Quinx, stays by my feet so much, that i trip on em!
I have a jack russel and he always gets to exited for me to keep him still, do you have any tips?
What is the best dog time for training.
How can I teachbmy dog that hé stars next to me no matter what fore example when he seems a cat
About how long does it take the dog to go from not knowing anything to at least knowing where they should be positioned? Assuming I train my dog for 15mins twice a days (is that an adequate amount of time per session?). Great video!
Every dog is different. Breeds are different. I’d say be patient and consistent and see how it goes.
Sorry I’m replying from my other channel.
Where do you put the treat? It’s in your hand but I can’t see it
Great question, easiest way to start is to put it between your thumb and your palm. I have a little different technique but it's hard to explain via text. I'll try. Touch the two fingers on either side of your middle finger together to make a V shape. Place the food right in that V shape and then use your middle finger to push it out when you are ready. not sure if that makes sense but hope it helps.
So I am trying to use food to motivate mt 4 year old aussiedoodle but he keeps biting my hand not hard not like a bite bite but he do be a little aggressive when eating do u have anybtricks for me because I don't wanna have a fear he's gonna bite me and drop food because then he won't know if he's doing something right or not
talk to a local trainer and do some in person training. it's hard for me to give an exact solution just through a comment like this
What treats were you giving you dog? I’m just curious
small bits of shredded chicken would be great
Walking backwards is cool but is it just for good looks or is there is there a purpose for that?
This video is different ok didnt know about the wall thing. I get so frustrated got my hands full with 2 puppies
ah yes two puppies at once can be very challenging
What is the best time doing training
before meal time
Is a 9 month old puppy considered a young puppy or older dog?
Older puppy.
anyone got tips on how to stop my puppy from biting me when I put my hand that has the treat in front of her?
hold the treat between your thumb and middle finger and then present your palm to your dog not your fingers
What kind of food you're giving
I feed my dogs purina pro plan sport 30/20 right now but I train with whatever motivates them.
When they get good at this How do you stop them from being distracted by birds or squirrels? My goal is to get her to walk by me at the beach but she gets distracted so easily by the Seagals or people😫
More training and slowly increasing distractions. Depending on your dog, some prong collar work in high distracting environments might be the answer.
My dog can’t hear
So many similarities between training dogs and “training” children.
I have a husky 😢😢
Binding the auto sit button isn't easy as expected 😑
He’s using an invisible leash
i dont understand, my dog knows how to walk good without a leash and always beside me, but the law says you cant walk a dog without a leash, so whats the point of this?
Maybe for service dogs
He seems to live in a rural area. Leash laws are different. I suspect he is also training gun dogs which are commonly off leash.
All good....then they see a squirrel.
But then when u go in public with ur dog, and the dog is doing what its trained, but no rewards the whole time, after a while the dog is gona be like forget this if i aint getting anymore treats. The dog is probly thinking, am i doing something wrong if im not getting any treats.
That is why pure positive reinforcement training does not work and is a noob trap for first time dog owners.
Maybe I don't want to turn my buddy into a zombie dog... As long as he doesn't run away too far from me, I'm more than fine.
Yep, whatever you are looking for! Every body has a different standard.
Dogs aren't machines . I hate people walking dogs without leash. Cops arrest this guy please
This is the dumbest comment I’ve ever read lol
