Loving this version it's definitely a better start than the original with the boss battles with the wolf and death. Graphics are amazing considering its the mega drive and the sounds especially the voices damn wizardry to the sound team!
All of this unfounded hate for Sega, just because the Genesis is finally getting some decent ports of 30+ year old games. 🙄
Now we all know just what kinda PUSSIES the soccermoms have raised... GOOD JOB!!!

Castlevania: Symphony of the night pra Mega Drive é um milagre de Natal!
console milagroso sem limites
@@rafaelantonio6765 na época não se podia trabalhar com todo o potencial do Mega Drive, pois ele não ia quebrar só o Super Nintendo, mas também os arcades!

Depois de resident para N64,não duvido de mais nada.
Its interesting and curious how large of a cart it would be. I mean technically the game was originally announced for the 32x.
256 megabits?
Um marco no cenário Homebrew.
Parabens a todos os envolvidos!
Thank you
Very proud of ya for putting just this together. Can't wait to see the finished product. Merry Christmas to you and your family. ✝️
Mint. It must take a lot of skill to recreate this for Genesis. I'm struggling to make a Castlevania on game maker. This is going to be great when it's finished looking forward to it.
I think it also takes a lot of RAM and ROM, such that no amount of talent while the Genesis was still supported could have made this happen . Still, this person also has a lot of talent.
Amazing work. Thank you for trying something so cool and keeping up with it.

Pigsy, Pyron and (presumably) SavageRegime.... you´re INSANE!
Inglebard.
But I'm sure he'd appreciate the compliment.
Damn, this will go down as one of the all time greats
SOTN is an all time great. This is just a glitchy downgraded copy of the original. This is never gonna be great. Just a stolen idea remade worse
@@dannyd4339 Thank you for saying ALL OF THIS. These commenters are either kids and haven't lived long enough to know something about history or are just talking to hear themselves talk.
@@dannyd4339The guy is writing the demake from scratch, on a system that has a fraction of the power of the original. It's an incredible feat in itself. You should show a little more respect for the talent and effort he's put into this project. He's not selling the game nor is he taking credit for the original developers' work.
@@percyvolnar8010Thank you for trashing the effort of an up and coming developer? Sounds like something a spoiled child might say.
@@AtariBorn get over me, kiddo..
This game just keeps improving❤
As a LONG time fan of SOTN this seriously has me interested. I love the game relentlessly but it is rather...easy. This recreation kicks things up a notch and adds some MUCH needed difficulty and variety to the game. LOVE IT!!
Thinking about it, maybe the lack of leveling is what helps the balance. Maybe this port won't have spells and all transformations too, that will help boosting up the difficulty to classic CV styles. I also don't know if there will be equipment, but the lack of it can affect the difficulty as well.

Wow. I actually might like the Solgra & Gaiban music here more than in the in real game.
Literally perfect
Motherfuckingly so.

It's so impressive that you're managing to get this to work! I can't even fathom the technical specifications required.
System requirements: 16 video game system with built-in BLAST PROCESSING!!
I don't recall watching anything about the musical work, but this is excellent! What a wonderful translation to the 'drive.
The developer has had a lot of help from different talents, putting together music, art and sprite work. He mentions them in the videos and links to their work. They have created really good chiptune versions of the SOTN soundtrack.
@@AtariBorn I remember him discussing the team effort with the visuals. The comparison of his initial work and the other person's progress was incredible. Just didn't see any video on the music. I assumed someone helped with that, too.
@@zacharyberridge7239 RUclips won't let me post a link but search for Ingelbard Music. Pigsy mentions his contributions frequently. He has a playlist of his Genesis SOTN music.

I just wish I knew enough about music to give him his just dues.
His tutorials are way over my head.

Incredible work recreating this masterpiece on Megadrive hardware.
Oh my god!!!! Message to the dev : SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY. I follow your project from France, when it will be complete, please release a cartmod, i will buy it for sure. Your price is mine. VERY IMPRESSIVE, keep up the good work!❤
Very good!! Merry Christmas 🎄
Amazing work!! i wish this would be a physical release at some point, when it's finished.
I am a Castlevania fan and believe it or not i never played Symphony of the night.
I will not play it until you publish your version! I think is the best way to enjoy that game on my Mega drive!!!! Can't wait for the full version!!!!!! You have done a great work on this mate!
This is an amazing job, but completely different from the original SOTN.
Yes, while this is good, you have to play the original.
The first stage music uses the same instrument as splatterhouse. So good :)
Ost sounds great!
Impressive, I wonder if it would still be a Metroidvania or a classic Castlevania
You mean wether it has a save system or not?
No, I'm not worried about that as RetroArch permits to save, I was talking about all the back and forth from " modern " Castlevania, unlike the old Castlevania when you just had to beat levels once ( and I hoped the demake would be more linear than the original SotN ) @@magvs_mæstro216
it'll be the same as the original

Looks like a classic Castlevania with SOTN clothes hahaha
In fact, Level design is amazing!
flawless gameplay
This is gonna be the best Genesis game since the golden years!
looks awesome
Can't wait.
I like that the first meet with death is a fight vs him taking your items away. Also the music is rather good.

Okay this homebrew, is pure greatness!

Dude. You use zero dithering. Perfect.
Wow, I’m surprised how much it held up with the animations and color palette given the MDs limitations.
Impressive as hell! 💯
Excelente, va a quedar muy bien! Me encantó ver a Alucard peleando en los tejados del castillo.
So I just saw the demo for Chronicles of the wolf and It made me wanna check in on this project. Sure enough I find this fresh video. Its great to see the work thats gone into this, keep it up.
It's completely understandable that they wouldn't be able to make a 1:1 replica of Symphony of the Night on the Genesis, but what's already on display here has to be a technical marvel. Seriously impressive stuff!
Epicness of the highest grade.
Looks and sounds amazing! WOW~!
jogo tá ficando excelente, mas é impressão minha ou a trilha sonora ficou muito alta? quase não dá pra ouvir as vozes do personagem.
Música muito alta e baixa taxa de quadros.
Sickest genesis game of all time.
Buen trabajo! feliz Navidad!
Impressionante
who needs zelda a link to the past?
This looks INCREDIBLE! Love seeing how this project becomes better and better. Awesome work 💚💚
I have some questions regarding visual feedback but I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask :'D

Wow the megadrive music is amazing it fits sotn so well
Man , even the OST port is MAGICAL
This is some impressive work 🤩
How the hell can you make something this faithful as a demake wtf the author(s) is a/are freaking wizard(s)!
Fcked up in the crib playing Symphony of the Night on the Sega Genesis
Wow, this is really impressive! The devs have really done a fantastic at adapting the original port to a linear play type without losing the best of the OG. Great job with the music, colors, and samples. I can't wait for the completed version.
This is incredible. You level up and gain XP right?
Love Playing this classic arcade Games ❤
0:00 Dracula: "What is Nintendo? A miserable little pile of secrets. But enough talk, have Sega!"
WOW! This looks and sounds fantastic!
Otima gameplay ta ficando incrível
The fact that this can be translated even 70% onto Mega Drive shows how good Sega's console then was. A SNES ver would probably allow all the transparency and light effects using it's extended Mode7 features.
There's still some jerking in the scroll animation, but it looks close to the real deal. Music is interesting, some notes aren't quite right, but most sounds fantastic!
It's a demo, says it right in the title.
@@Retro_Troll No, really!? dawg I didn't know!
@@Ragesauce Thought I'd remind you, cause you know.
10/10
This looks wonderful for a demake! I wonder how much a genesis cartridge would cost in 1997 if this game was ported to the system back then?
Git a chance to try this demo out with my Mega Everdrive Pro and Mega SG. Looking cool. Can't wait to see the final.
Somebody needs to make a Metroid game for Genesis
Even though you're developing on Genesis hardware, you're not constrained by memory limitations like devs were back in the day, right? So however much memory it takes will work or am I mistaken? Great work by the way!
Bro ain't no way in hell! This is almost PS1 quality!
(Un)holy crap, voice samples! And Death battle.
"SEGA!!!" 😂😂
Imagine if this game has been released for Genesis and snes in 1994 that would've been insane
Awesome! In this version you don't lose your Alucard family set and heirlooms! This was made with much love and reverence for the SoTN. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is genius work. I'm in complete awe.
this looks and sounds about s good as the genesis ever can. Seriously impressed!!

Hola, tiene limitaciones pero está muy bueno y los enemigos nuevos le agregan algo positivo. Saludos desde Monterrey México 👍
Let's keep it a buck: If this had released? They could have named their price. The project started on the 32X, afterall. SVP chip could have made it even more gnarly/impressive on Genesis.
Isso é impressionante um presente de natal ver isso
Seems like music is to loud on first level compared to sound effects. Hopefully someone does a md+ version when its done so you can have the cd soundtrack on flash cartridges. :D
Should maybe have the Frankenstein boss move forward a bit when he slams his hammer down, so you can't just attack him at will. Just a thought 🙂
wow, and the bgm😮

Existe algum porte do Rondo of Blood pro mega ou pro SNES?
@@knabioi2418 se tu ja jogou e viu o review do Master Alucard... c sabe q não é a mesma coisa 💀
Are there still secret areas behind breakable walls? That would be cool!
Also can you still buy equipment & items with the money you collect?
Is niiiice. The boss music is sic sounding on megadrive too. I like what was done, and i was a SOTN fan before it even came out.Ive slaughtered the game and own it on however many platforms. Ofcourse the only good version is on ps1. But this is a great partner to that game in my book.Well done you.
Saturn Japanese version is best.
Well, there's actually no real Saturn version of SOTN. Although japan got Akumajō Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight. But as far as SOTN is concerned, i think PS1 is definitely the best version put out there,And Nocturne does have some cool things in it also. But the audio, cutscenes, and graphics are inferior to the ps1 SOTN.Personally i like both for different reasons myself.
Man , That boss music.
Looks incredible. Only complaint is the sprite animations could be smoother. But this much better than i could ever do. Killer!
I will be impressed if they actually can be smoother.
Incredible work. But one nitpick I have about something that would help to make this project look even better, is improving the special effects. It must be that maker is trying too hard to replicate the original, but it would be fine if simpler effects were used. Like, in Bloodlines or Rondo that are prettier fire effects than in this port. But then, does that hard accuracy make sense? Like, the map layout isn't 100% accurate anyway. In Bloodlines, unlike in SOTN, there are less fire effects but they are all pretty. This port could follow the same logic and stick to only few effects that can look good.
@@carlosaugusto9821 Getting the basics working is priority. All of the effects and death animations are things that can be worked out later. If you follow his videos, you'll see how he's learning as he goes and almost everything in this demo is a placeholder.
