  • In this super easy DIY water fountain tutorial, you will learn how to create a beautiful and relaxing water feature using terracotta clay saucers, in just five minutes! Terracotta clay saucers are an affordable and accessible material that you can easily find at your local garden or home improvement store.
    All you need are a few terracotta clay saucers of varying sizes, a small fountain pump, rocks or pebbles, and water. Simply stack the saucers in a tiered fashion, with the largest at the bottom and the smallest at the top, and secure them with waterproof adhesive. Then, place the fountain pump at the bottom of the saucers, add rocks or pebbles to create a visually appealing base, add water, and turn on the pump.
    *Make sure to soak the clay saucers in water for 20-25 minutes. This will make drilling easier.

    Simple and beautiful! I shall also build it. Do you have the pieces just balancing without using any sort of adhesive to keep them from falling? Thank you!

    I'm confused. One minute the pump is in the bottom saucer outside the vase then all of a sudden it dissapeared.

      He realized he was supposed to have the pump inside the terracotta vase, not the outside.
      I only built and installed fountains for five years, but I'm pretty sure that's what happened here, lol.

      Thanks for watching ! Please watch again, pump is still outside . It looks hidden because it is at the back of the vase may be.

      Hi evan , NO its not like that. The water pump is outside the vase and it may be looking hidden because it is at the backside of the vase. Camera angle is confusing you .

      He’s probably showing us the front of the fountain n the pump is in the back.

    I love this fountain but can I ask:
    1) how do you drill holes in ceramic?
    2) where did the pump go? I saw a cord under the bottom pot, did you drill another hole in the bottom pot for the cord?
    3) what was the clear piece you used in the very top for the fountain 'spray? Not sure in the description what part that was. Thank you

    • @DIYStories
      @DIYStories  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching and i am glad you liked it
      1- soak the ceramics in water for 20 mins aprox, then drill a hole in it using a masonry bit.
      2-you can find the pump on amazon and NO, I didn’t drilled any other hole in the bottom.
      3- that clear piece is basically a fountain head nozzle and you can also find link in the description. Its a complete fountain head kit.

      Glad you like it and thanks for watching. You can find them on amazon or Menards. If you don’t get any of these, you can use plastic saucers as well. Good luck 🤞

    Não precisa passar vedante no prato do meio...para evitar infiltração de água?😮

    • @DIYStories
      @DIYStories  Год назад +1

      Precisamos colocar selante na placa do meio, porque se não fizermos isso, a água começará a escorrer pela placa do meio e a cachoeira não ficará boa.

    +arn't you suppose to permanitly attach the componets together (i.e. some sort of adhesive?)

    • @DIYStories
      @DIYStories  2 года назад

      Yes we can permanently attach the components. This is an idea for garden lovers and secondly i reuse the components in my other videos thats why I didn’t attached them.
