- Here is a video how to backflush a fx6 wait for the end I tell you how to reverse it to use it to fill your
tank also, I don't utilize this method because my African cichlid tank is over stocked and I like to
change anywhere from 80-85% water when I do a water change I could recommend doing this
method once a month to flush out detritus from your canister can be done with fi4, fx5 and fx6
canisters I believe ..Stick to the end and I tell you how to reverse the suction to fill the tank up using the fx6
Mahalo from Hawaii, very informative
Thank you my friend! 🤘🏼
Nice never thought of that
Very useful
Glad it was helpful!
So you're pumping chlorinated tap water directly through your FX 6 filter media, but treating the tank?
Yup pumping it right back thru the fx
The facts of what you have to do to get the FX's open and then closed back up is not the easiest to achieve what you are doing....but you would be able to prolong the heavy lifting for SURE if you order a
EHEIM pre filter
and in your case with the system being so heavily stocked
I would HIGHly recommend 2 & stack em up 👆 that would be optimal and I think you would be able to take , rinse and reinstall in the tank in 3 - 5 minutes and after 1 week you will know if you waited to long or leave it for longer... . .hope all is going well and I am going to Sub you on the way out 😎🎯
Thanks my friend 😅
Yeah hopefully the best proof is seeing it so I don't remember how to send it..
You Tube PSK aqua
Maintenance on my FLIVAL FX6 & 1 month w the pre filter
T-T-T-today junior!
thats right
Only thing I see that would be an ussue is pumping the chlorinated water into the FX and killing off all your good bacterias in the biomedia.
I have a FX4 myself.
if your tank is established long enough . it should be fine. should have enough bb in the tank , and i think it pushed it thru the tubes nack into the tank
Floyd Christmas?
Harry dunne 😊
You call that the "LAZY METHOD"...
Actually takes more work imo . Than a regular water change , just helps flush it and extend the maintenance time
