Christina wasn't mad about her mic cut and she didn't bash Britney bc mtv cut her kiss. During rehearsals Britney was acting weird. Madonna said they were all going to sing live, Britney didn't. The cut her kiss.... overall she just realized how much of a joke the event was and how it's about the entertainer and how controversial you can be and not about talent. She was like 23 at the time. After that she just really didn't care much about the entertainment business bc she realized how it was just a business and she took her craft serious. She still loved making music and doing her thing. She just didn't care for the fake shit anymore. Even recently Britney just vented about her sister bring mean to her when she was like 12 and trying to look like Christina Aguilera. So, naw. It kinda sucks when you want to be friends with an old friend but they've become a product of the industry to the point that they bought into the rivalry the media and everyone used to make money off of a manufactured beef that kept her and Britney apart.
