Good video covering a key topic. I have an 1882-cc GSA Morgan that I will be sending in at some point. Did not know about the different methods employed by each grading company until now. I do like PCGS putting it in another holder, but don't like fact it renders the original box as useless. Tough call there, but if I can't get past it, will go with NGC. Thanks, again!
Thank you, I typically use PCGS for all of my grading except for GSAs I send to NGC. I also find NGC tends to give a little bit better grades on the GSAs.
Thank you for sharing this! I have GSA Morgans graded from both NGC and PCGS but had never seen the Anacs version. I did a video on my GSA collection and almost everyone commenting prefered the NGC holder because they wanted the OGP. I do like the PCGS holder myself.

@@JoshuaAndersonLife Thank you for subbing! I'm mostly a vintage silver stacker but also collect pretty much only CC Morgans for the numismatic side. I have all 13 dates and a lot of them in high grade. Your video on GSA CC's is great, I really enjoyed watching👍👍
@@SilverStruck Nice! I'll be looking for that video! Morgans are my favorite by far. I'm a sucker for great toning, so I have a variety of them. I saw your 81 CC toner, very nice! I don't see as many good obverse toners for whatever reason.
ngc for the psa for sure. i love anacs with coin gradeing but it be silly to have them grade these didnt know they did. a bonus i didnt think of is pcgs holders free up an extra one of those silver boxes if you ever buy one and it doesn't have one.

What are the chips or voids on 10 and 2 of the edge of the reverse in the NCG example?
If I'm understanding what you're talking about, I believe it's the small tabs on the GSA holder that hold the Morgan in place. All GSA holders have them at 10, 2 & 6 positions, but they are a little more or less visible on some of the holders.
NGC should be the only one to consider. As a dealer, now retired, who has been involved in selling GSAs since the beginning, I can assure you that GSA collectors prefer the NGC. PCGS is too big and bulky and the boxes and certs tend to get lost and ANACS is just no longer relevant.

I am so pissed. I sent in a monster toned gsa to ngc to grade in holder...they sent it back cleaned obv, what the hell!!

Are they worth it? thinking of buying a Cc morgan gsa ms 65 then there's a gsa cc morgan ms 64 with a Cac sticker which one is worth buying!!
It depends on the price between the 2, but if they're about the same, personally I'd go with the MS65.

No way an MS 65 for the CC dollar you are sending in. At best it is a 64.

@@JoshuaAndersonLife That is why I always buy the coin and not the holder, as most experienced coin collectors will tell you. Also, PCGS is more strict in their grading than NGC based on my experience. Grading services ruined the coin collecting hobby by encouraging flippers and speculators and inappropriately driving up the price of all coins. Unfortunately, we are where we are today.
I agree, I also buy the coin and not the holder. But I'm also not going to complain about getting a 65 when I would have been happy with a 64. I also prefer PCGS and it's where I send everything except GSAs.
