      I have a very similar printer (probably only the color is different). Once you build it good(It took me around 15 hours to build it carefully, and don't tighten the screws too much) and calibrate it finely (calibration is really hard until you get used to it, don't give up [you might need change its program a bit to get finer results]) it prints reasonably well. I would recommend you buying a heated bed too since it helps a lot. The only downside is its bed is really smaller than you think. It is worth the money but sometimes it is too small for much of the things. What I calculated is that it has an effective print area diameter of around 13.6 centimeters(it is more in some areas but this is the biggest circle you can make on the machine). Draw that on a piece of paper before you consider to buy it ;) However the height is very good. Whatever, I wanted to share this with you as an experienced user of this machine. I hope this helps you in the future if you consider to buy it.

    • @NexiTech
      @NexiTech  7 лет назад +6

      Sorry for late response mate am working on other projects 24/7. Well its very similar. Prints on A8 and A6 are just tiny bit more 'clean'. Extrusion line are more ''straight'' between layers'. Its very hard to notice really, only in direct sun light on special angle. You can't feel it under finger its microscopic. I bet 99% of people will never even see that microscopic scratches only me MR Perfectionist :D But awesome speed and impressive build quality, rock solid frame, 180mm x 330mm prints volume and good cooling are on Kossel side. There is even support for one more extruder, heat bed and auto level as well. Now that's really awesome for this price. One more thing I forget to mention: This Delta can print in 50 micron or 0.05mm layer height as well. I run couple test prints in 0.05mm layer height and they are looking very good! Honestly, I really like this delta printer. I calibrate it only once and I run it 24/7 for days and days and still no need to re-calibrate at all. Prints are still perfect. Hope I helped. Cheers.

  • @viper5326
    @viper5326 7 лет назад

    hi nexi.
    first i want to say, i really like your videos and i'm very impressed by your nice printings.
    so after a couple of days of heavy research of cheap printers, filaments and other stuff, i think i'm going for this delta printer as my first printer :)
    but as i saw in a comment of one of your anet a8 videos you got your a8 from aliexpress and not from gearbest. may i ask you where you get your delta from?
    also can you really recommend the filaments from gearbest? as i saw you are from sweden and what i learned from my researches you are in the neighberhood to the netherlands which has some good brands for filaments for around 20€/kg :)

    • @NexiTech
      @NexiTech  7 лет назад

      Hi Viper! Thanks for positive commenting! Nice choice about this Delta! Nope,I was ordering some test PLA, ABS and other parts from Ali express,Ebay etc not my Anet A8. My Anet A8 I and all my 3D printers I order from Gearbest. As well all Orange PLA upgrades on my Anet A8 in videos are made with PLA from Gear Best. Only some parts: mosfet, insulation material ets and some prints: phone stand(My first) and some parts are from PLA (Aliexpress) and Skull(ABS) are print in filaments from Ali express. I stop ordering filaments from Ali express because I don't get same quality even if I order from same seller. That's why all my prints i past few mounts are made with filaments from Gearbest which have constant same color and quality. Well I don't know really about your filaments in your Area you got to order it and test out. Maybe it will be' even better deal. I can buy Filaments in local store but price is still high.

    • @viper5326
      @viper5326 7 лет назад +1

      hey thx for your quick reply ^^
      then i must have misread something, i'm sorry. ^^'
      nah if you say the filament from gearbest is worth to try it, i believe you and i will try it :)
      the problem is just like in your case filament here in germany is quite expensive so i thought of ordering some from the netherlands because filament from reprapworld (dutch) and dutchfilament have good reputations. but i'm a noob so what do i know xD
      actually i don't even have a 3d printer yet but i already watched a couple of videos about buidling your own filament machine or even an extruder directly filled with pla pellets (for example) and the pellets are around of 5$/kg which is quite nice ^^
      and i'm dreaming of owning a sls printer which provides a superior printing quality but yeah the price ... xD
      did you try a flexible material (filament) on that delta? i'm curious because i watched a promo video about the little monster (delta printer) and they printed a flexible phone case (rubber like), it's kinda awesome :)
      oh and i saw your printed t-rex model and man what a nice work :)
      did you do any finishing on that model like aceton vapour? or is the printed quality all original right from your a8? :)
      thx in advance and sorry for the many questions ^^'

    i have one (linear version)
    the quality is descent for the price and very good manual and packaging! only bad parts (plastic endstop support..i have broke one..).the mainboard is very god quality(no flux,good pcb)
    but the big problem is: it s almost impossible to calibrate correctly it without auto bed sensor!! i spent 4days on it!!and trust me i have followed all tuttorial from esch3D..i have changed my mainboard for a sks base 32 bits and have 1/32 microstepping
    but dame problem with bed leveling..now i will try my sensor for autobed! it s only the easy way for beginners!!so pitty the manufactuer doesn t inclued this kind of sensors on their kit(it s cheap)

      There is no missing components in the kit. Everything in package I show in video review as well assembly video match purchasing link. That picture of Anycubic Kossel upgaded version on Gearbest webiste is old if you scroll down you will see pictures and same 3D printer like in this video. No idea Why they are still showing previous version(old) on main picture on Gearbest website. I wrote them i in time of this video review to change picture because people can get confused. Hope they will change that old pictures.

    How did you take care about the acurat messurements on length of the triangles. Meaning are all sites and on bottom an dtop identical
    Or did you just pushed everything in til it stops?
    How did you tighten the hot end. Normally you heat it up to 220C and turn the parts together, but with the mounting around, I do not see a chance
    Thanks in advance

      Joey Rasmussen Actually I'm testing for the past few weeks upgraded Anycubic Kossel Liner plus model and in comes with Linear Rails, heatbed, much bigger Powersupply, bigger build size and Autolevel and most of components are pre-assembled. I got to say that it's very good! You have links in video description and I will post video review in next few videos.

    • @o1napstar1

      I really hope so. From other printers / projects, i have a chinese geetech 3D touch sensor and a proximity sensor. and one of them i want to put on the delta machine, and i liked your videos and wanted to ask :) The other sensor is going on my homebuild discount printer some day i got time. Im also waiting for my Prusa MK 3 to arraive next month ;)

    That manual has some revisions which are not clear and written over in hand on how the main-board is connected. One wrong move on wiring and the board is toast. If you wired it as on the schematic, it is toast. There support is terrible. This is what I found.

  • @DMonZ1988
    @DMonZ1988 7 лет назад

    hey dude! great in-depth video, thank you! but, with the test prints you say faster, faster, faster, fastest, but don't actually mention the speeds! what speeds did you print at please?

    • @DMonZ1988
      @DMonZ1988 7 лет назад

      oh also, you said 'no heat gun, no acetone' a few times. are these ABS prints?

    • @NexiTech
      @NexiTech  7 лет назад

      DMonZ1988 Hi mate! Well to be honest print speeds depends of alot of factors and settings in slicing software. Every slicing software is different. My printer speed of 100 mm/s and travel 200mm/s can be totaly different from yours if you using other version of slicing software like: simplify3d, Repetier, Craftware and many other. Even different version of CURA can be different in print speed and slicing etc.. Not only that, 3D printer firmware can have enormous difrences as well. That's why I think that is little silly to just write print speed number on screen and expect that everyone can have same results and same quality. Regards :)
      P.S. Lot's of people using Acetone and Heat gun,sand paper, little "off" focus camera etc to make prints look better. I don't like that because it create false picture and there is no point compering 3D prints and 3D printers if you don't show like it is in best light and best camera focus.

    Hey I am really looking into 3d printers and have my eye stuck on this one. The only problem is that I fear that I will need more size in the base and these delta printers have such a small size in their base but have higher size in the heights. How can I work around this?

    Hello,
    this printer really amaze me and I think its ideal one to start with 3D print.
    I would like to ask you: Can this model print good models with ABS filament even without heated bed ?
    I would like to print all sort of models, starting with small original keychains, moving to decorating vase (like on video) to detailed 3D models, using both printed using materials (PLA and ABS).
    I will upgrade it guided by your video + any upgrades for cooling necessary on this printer ?
    Thank your for response :-)

    • @NexiTech
      @NexiTech  7 лет назад

      Hi! Why printing ABS when PETG is available. ABS is well know for problems like shrinkage and layers separations as well warping even with heated bed.For very good ABS prints you need enclosure. Why stress with ABS when is PETG is much easier to print and its suffer less from ABS problems. BTW you can easily upgrade this printer with heated bed as well. BTW PLA is very strong. In fact on some test PLA is stiffer and stronger that ABS. P.S. No cooling is necessary for this printer. It has very good cooling nozzle.

    • @NexiTech
      @NexiTech  7 лет назад

      Jackson Sherriff Try 205c first then 210c. It depend of filament. Some filament may melt good even on lover temps. Start from 200c and go up untill you find best temps for your filament.

  • @iamjakex
    @iamjakex 6 лет назад +1

    You keep saying "let's go faster" but you never mention the speed (mm/s) at least tell us what the achieved speed is vs saying "faster, and faster". You also never list the PRINT TIMES for any print, and every print you say "very nice, very good" come on, this isn't a detailed review. You don't mention the bed is unheated, but keep mentioning acetone smoothing or heat-gun, which isn't applicable to PLA.

    I just built the same printer but keep getting ripples in my prints. I have done many thing to try to fix it but nothing is working. I have tries manually re-leveled it several times, I printed some belt tensioners to make each belt more taught, and I turned acceleration way down. Does anyone know whats causing those ripples?

      those aren't ripples, that's "over-extrusion", try reducing your flow.

      Striper 16 What's wrong with it?

    • @nicktheengineer
      @nicktheengineer 7 лет назад

      Dominik the fans dont automatically turn on when heating the extruder or even when printing. Sometimes the included bump switches dont go off and the print head ramps upward when homing. Leveling is a pain as well because the plate cannot be adjusted easily. Assembly was a nightmare as many parts did not fit properly and the instructions were of little help. I got the Linear Plus version of this. Get the CR 10 if you are looking to buy a printer.

    • @NexiTech
      @NexiTech  7 лет назад

      Striper 16 Check your SD card. Maybe it has damaged Blocks? Use Hard disk sentinel to do surface scan. I hade problems on my other printer and I found that my SD card has half blocks corrupted and damaged. I will make video about this.

    • @nicktheengineer
      @nicktheengineer 7 лет назад

      Nexi Tech No, one bump sensor came defective, and none of the fans could be controlled. Even the extruder stepper wouldnt run.

    • @dominik2824
      @dominik2824 7 лет назад

      Are you sure you didn't accidentally short the stepper drivers with the heatsinks? Could be why the stepper didn't run. Also, are you sure you plugged the fan cables into the ports given in the manual?
