Thanks for watching everyone! Such a fun and rewarding journey, defo got hard to film sometimes but i locked in for the banger dont even worry about it and yes, chimborazo isn't the world's tallest volcano, BUT its the highest that you actually "climb" (technical equipment such as crampons rope axes etc.)
Hey Ryan, I doubt you’ll ever read this but, your videos got me into mountaineering. I did a lot of backpacking before, but was always terrified of heights. After watching your post-Everest videos, I began to climb. Now my only hope is finding friends who want to go with me! Thank you so much, seriously.
Dude same thing here. I watched your Everest summit video and since then I did my first 14er in Colorado also the highest in Colorado, you inspire me so much.
Man! I was just in Ecuador. Climbed Cayambe, Cotopaxi, and attempted Chimborazo (turned back at 19k ft). Was thinking of your first chimbo video the entire time I was on the glacier. This video has definitely inspired me book my next trip down to reattempt. Great work!
Thank you Ryan, you inspired me to start mountaineering. Im 18 and live in the Netherlands which is basically the flatest country in the world but thats not gonna stop me
Yo Ryan, you have always inspired me to start mountaineering, and just backpacking in general. I've always loved the outdoors, its my most favorite thing to do. I am an Oregonian so it shouldn't be hard to find mountains myself especially on the cascades and blues. I've even began training to start my journey, thank you so much dude, keep it up!
You have inspired me to do this stuff when I get older because I can’t even drive yet. I have already planned so many trips based off the stuff that you have done, thank you Ryan for the inspiration!
Ryan, you are a great videographer. It's hard enough to climb the mountain without having to worry about documenting it. We love what you do; please don't stop!
Amazing climbs guys. As a 68 yr old I love being an armchair mountaineer! We have some beautiful mountains here in UK my adventures consist of lower level hikes and hills. (Still beautiful in their own way).
I just wanna say thanks man for making these videos for someone like me with heath conditions I can't climb mountains but watching your videos I get at least some what of a experience of what it would be like so thank you so much keep up the amazing work
Your videos have inspired me to get up into the mountains, mainly for the exercise. After watching your Everest video i been watching these mountaineering videos nonstop for a week. the Mountains call to me, Into the forest I go, to lose my mind & find my soul.
Guatemala is beautiful once again Ryan what a great climb of all three. I think the first was my favourite just because of the volcano and the way it looked. Looking forward to seeing more videos.🇨🇦
Nice climb 👍 I attempted a 6250m Himalayan peak solo, in India in September called Kang Yatse 2. I got up around 9:30pm and set off at 10:30pm. Tbh I did not expect a crap to come on in the middle of the night, but it may have been the strong coffee and nicotine patch that got things moving. Thankfully it was before the glacier, somewhere below crampon point at just after midnight so it wasn't crazy awkward. I just moved some rocks and dug out a small hole. Although it certainly wasn't convenient, it was quite a unique spot for an evac and thankfully nobody came past at that moment. I think the adrenaline would be pumping a bit hard for a crap to come on crossing the glacier, generally I find high stress is enough to put the brakes on bowel movements with my body. Got to around 6050m and had to turn around, headache got rather intense.
Absolutely love the content man it's great to see a full summit experience with all your videos. Trying very hard to get into mountaineering myself so these videos give a lot of insight on how it is
Way cool bro, loved your Everest set of vids. I did some climbing as a young man, alot of rappelling !! Keep up what you're doing - you're a natural at bringing forth the essence of whats up - Happy Holidays !! LOVE to everyone 💕 Go USA - Thank God
This is crazy, I'm 19 as well and I'm still in school trying to pass to go study in a university and you climb mountains. I could never, thank you for filming what we could never see otherwise.
Hot diggity, a Ryan Mitchell video! Thank you for the detailed account, I learn so much watching your videos. I especially appreciate the variety of locations and climbs you post. Exciting to watch.
Ryan 😊 love your videos so much. I get a little happy skip when I wake up and see you've posted a new one! It's great to watch your adventures as always! Personally I would love to hear about how you plan all this too, how much it costs, your kit etc. it's all super interesting. It's great to hear you talk about your mindset as well. You seem to be so chill about everything but I appreciate it when you talk about being nervous. Anyway thank you for bringing us along on your adventures 🙌
The peak of chimborazo is also the closest place to the sun/the furthest point from the center of the earth, due to the curvature of the earth! I live in Ecuador and first climbed chimborazo a couple years ago at 16 (It took a lot of convincing from my parents! ) You make it look so effortless as well lol...
I've been following your journey on this channel and you have such a great attitude and are really inspiring. Keep it up man, and thank you for sharing!
Congratulations Ryan. What an accomplishment! I hiked up to the top of 14,179ft Mount Shasta in 1987. That was a very difficult hike and you were 6,000ft higher than me. I can see Mount St. Helens from where I live at here in Washington and I saw your video of your hike up to the top of that. Take care.
Terrific--love that view of the crater on Cotopaxi--just stunning. Your videos aways give the best idea of what it's like to climb--thanks for the detail and the honesty.

I slept in that exact bunk on Illinza back in Jan. Kept hitting my head on that wood cross beam. Rained and sleeted the whole way up. Brutal.
