Turning the motor will cause interference. Also would have like to see a GT56 on the TM for the price, as is though the GT56 won’t fit. I’d also love to see a follow contour feature instead of having to build a route on Active Captain. If you guys could nail down the GT56 and follow contour you could easily draw more people on the fence over to what’s already the best on the market. Great trolling motor I’ve owned 2 Ultrex’s and a ghost and the force is the best so far. and I love it just giving my experience so far.
57" shaft length isn't long enough. Please make this in a 63-65 inch shaft model. And also make an Ulterra competitor with shaft lengths up to 70 inch + range with remote stow and deploy.
I love the motor. The integration with the chart plotter is superb. My major two gripes: 1) it's too powerful for smaller boats. I have the sensitivity on 1 and it's still to powerful. It needs to be dialed down alot more. 2) I hate the prop switching off when you change different modes. Example, I go off anchor mode to move spots and I point to where I want to go and dial up the power, then notice that nothing is happening and the prop is disengaged = frustration.
I am a garmin user in Japan. I am currently using a garmin MFD for offshore boat fishing in saltwater and am very happy with Garmin's products. My boat (YAMAHA YFR24) is equipped with a Minn Kota trolling motor and I would like to replace it with a Garmin Force. Are there any plans to release a model with a shaft longer than 70 inches?

@@GarminInt Thanks for the reply. I immediately sent my idea to the innovation team via the form. I am looking forward to the day when I can use the Force for offshore boat fishing.
I couldn't be more disappointed with the Garmin trolling motor. I have used it 4 times. The first two times it seemed to work fine. the 3rd and 4th time it ruined my fishing trips. It drove erratically. It did severe turns at high speeds and would never settle in. The "Anchor" feature would have run me into a stationary boat if I hadn't turned it off a couple seconds before the collision. The heading hold feature also doesn't work. Now I read that there might be a crack in the heading sensor because the motor was allowed to go lower than it was designed to handle. The solution given is to run the motor six inches higher, which sucks because the shaft is already shorter than optimal for nearly any boat. It won't be long enough for my Carolina Skiff if there are 6" waves.

How about when I’m in shallow water and I get my bait stuck? Often times with my trolling motor I’ll pull it partly out of the water to get the shallow draft, and to keep my prop from getting banged up. Will I be able to do this with the auto stow feature when it automatically goes to the side as soon as I take it out of the water?
Hello Jacob, The motor will shut off after an inch or two, raises from full deployment position. The best solution would be to raise just the shaft instead of the entire motor. -MR

Plastic bushings went bad pretty quick with little use. I got replacements so let's see how long those last after the warranty
Beautiful, but when are you releasing an equivalent to my Minn Kota 112lb 72” auto deploy???

Auto deploy and stow would make me buy one tomorrow.
hey have a trolling motor now thats called the kraken which has a much much longer shaft legth

Please bring the 72" shaft one to us
Biggest issue is the anchor lock. For whatever reason it sometimes randomly decides to back up p 10 or 15 ft and quite aggressively.
Just purchased did not come with stabilizer as mentioned in this video. What do I need to do?
In canada it is going to cost me 5.000$ canadian dollars , and for this insane price there is no auto stove and deploy option??? Crazy
Will the GT 56 transducer fit on my Force trolling motor?
Hi James. Thanks for your question. The GT56 will not fit on the Force Trolling Motor. I apologize for the inconvenience. -MR

Is the 57" really only comparible to competitors 45" shaft in length? I have a bay style boat and want a force but am concerned about shaft length.

@@GarminInt pretty dumb answer. Saw a video of this motor and the guy was holding it up and it was running. What did he do to able this.
mine continues to run out of the water a couple of feet
Every time I use spot lock the motor shake my boat hard

Good for saltwater?
my Q??? was answered in the video... thanks
Where is the longer shaft? You have abandoned us walleye fisherman who have invested in outfitting our boats with Garmin electronics.

just one version of trolling motor? how about some price points next time?
Seems there is still no surface alloy which is completly repel saltwater . Only saltwater resistant
First rule of Webinars. Don't start every sentence with UH or have your post production remove that from the recording.
Guys, how about a longer shaft for us saltwater fisherman? Any plans? You’re losing market share!
