Tip for を/が : Remember ...たい is an adjective - not a verb アニメが好きです (I like anime) directly means "anime is liked" as it is an adjective hence が. So think of 'want to' as "being wanted" or similar as it is an adjective and not a verb. This is why を is not always used. を is often for verbs. E.g. テレビを見る (I watch tv) Hope this helped :D
Thank you so much for your lessons, Misa-sensei. It's incredible how you take the time to put all the kanji, hiragana in kana in the subtitles, which makes learning easier for beginners. You are the best Japanese teacher of youtube!
I listen to you just to hear your voice. Thank you so much. I don't need to see you to enjoy this. And I learned something. Arigato Gozaimasu Sensei Misa.🌹
I've seen Erased. That was awesome! And I just put Steins;Gate on my to watch list :). Thanks for your lessons. Hope I can finish them before March as I'll be going to Japan.
Hey!! first of all i want congratulate Misa for been an amazing teacher ! i have a question and if anyone could help me i appreciate. I know this is a video about "want to" how ever i was wondering, since the tai convert verbs into i adjetive (grammatically speaking) thank means that when you want to say don't want i should drop the i and add kunai for example 学校に行きたくない ( don't want to go to school) Thanks again and greeting from COLOMBIA! よろしくお願いします
I’m not learning Japanese but I’d love to visit Japan one day. But I’ve always wondered why so many Japanese sentences seem to end in “arrymass”. I think I finally have an idea what’s going on!!
Im not a kanji savy buy i recomend first learning the verbs meaning with the kana writing system dividing them in the JLPT levels (obviusly starting from the n5, the easiest division) then jump to the kanji study of the radicals (the easiest kanjis from which the compounds kanjis are forged there something like 200 of them) and then jumping to the study of the previously learnt verbs kanjis.
hello im trying trough an aplication called Kanji Study, and it its working for me, take it a peek even the free version is very fine and if you want to buy it only cost 5 dollars one only time pay and works for ever, bye
Great lesson. But I've also heard people add 'n' before desu, and even add 'ga' at the end so ikitaidesu would become ikitaindesuga. Is that an extremely formal/polite way of expressing desire?
My cousin and I are learning Japanese but I’m way ahead of him because I started earlier. So I sent him this today 日本語今までを勉強してこと楽しい? Is this grammatically correct?
I am always amazed by the attention to detail and the Kana and Kanji subtitles. All the Te Form videos are simply perfection.
I hope by now your Japanese is intermediate by watching her videos.

Big thanks
transitive verbs only
So you wouldn't say 「テレビを見たい」?
This is one of the most helpful comment I've read in a long time. Thanks.
を is actually used too. Desire level, sentence complexity, passive form, or direct object positions... there're a lot of factors here.

Veru useful and all free thanks sensei. Very appreciate it
I’m not learning Japanese but I’d love to visit Japan one day. But I’ve always wondered why so many Japanese sentences seem to end in “arrymass”. I think I finally have an idea what’s going on!!
Great lesson I only have a question now.
How do I inject kanji into my brain?
Im not a kanji savy buy i recomend first learning the verbs meaning with the kana writing system dividing them in the JLPT levels (obviusly starting from the n5, the easiest division) then jump to the kanji study of the radicals (the easiest kanjis from which the compounds kanjis are forged there something like 200 of them) and then jumping to the study of the previously learnt verbs kanjis.
But anyways dont rush it, learn the grammar first and let the kanji flow with the input of the language, is like a snowball effect.
WaniKani is a great site for learning Kanji
