To me Earthbound's soundtrack and battle sprites already felt kind of broken and re-put together in a good way. This version of the soundtrack makes it sound even more so. I still like the original better but this version has an odd kind of charm.

Listening to this music makes me wish this game was released in America. That and Mother 3 of course 😂. They'd make great additions to my GameBoy collection
Mother 1+2 is actually poasible to be released on America, but Mother 3, it can't, Reggie explains because the American culture is too sensitive about what happens in the game.

I have to confess, I feel kind of cheated now. I was just in the process of converting Mother+2's soundtrack in hd with the midis ripped from the rom filtered through the native sound engine without all the compression. But it looks like that's render redundant.
Do it. I'd love to hear that. Something's off with the soundtrack the way it's presented in this video. (And by that I mean that the upload really sucks.

OMG that happened to me when i tried to do Phoenix Wright MIDIS, when i tried to record it, it was like alright, but then i played it back and it was like...10 FPS
+Eric Lueck Please still upload them all without the compression in real HD. I would love to hear what they sound like without it and see just how bad they actually sound compared to what we're hearing now.
There are some differences between the sound on this and the original SNES game due to the sound engine. I'd say the SNES is superior. This is most noticeable with the sound effects for the Giygas final boss battle, which are very different.

I was playing the Snes game which had a patch that makes the game the same as the Japanese version but I gave up and I'm playing Final Fantasy Pixel remaster even more now that they updated the Steam version which makes the game the same as the console version.

I actually liked the version of Summers in this one (although not more than the original), but the instruments as the song progresses aren't great IMO.
The Porky's house song sounds so weird in this version IMO.

On NES, they use the DPCM channel, so on the GBA, they use the direct sound channel that is not a capability of the original Game Boy.
