You always have the best sounding amps with your Helix sir.. I mean it's always impeccable tone brother! You're the master at that!
My fav amp would probably be a friedman or Soldano if I had to answer quickly, or maybe just a ADA MP1 and a Tube power amp of some type.. and a 2 x 12 cab.. Better yet, just a modeler of any type.. Even the cheap one's today sound great.. We are finally at the point that you don't HAVE TO HAVE AN AMP AND EFFECTS REALLY.. Besides, my old back and knees can't take it.. 😛

I really enjoy Angle severe built in preset. Rarely need to tweak something except gain level and maybe boosting highs for some guitars. Works great both for playing and recording
@LeonTodd NIIIIIIICE!!!!!! Great "Tone Chasing" once again. It will take a serious saw to cut through those thick tones. I could sit there for hours and play with them with my Washburn N4. "D"

Can't beat the 800 for a solid rock n roll tone. Probably the best overall amp for this and on countless epic albums over the years. Thanks so much LT
love the jcm800 into v30's with a ts808 in front. the 808 tightens it up and gives it a little midrange push that sits great in the mix and feels greasy under the fingers. i wouldn't call it 'chunky", but for nwobhm stuff, it's bang on

90% of my use with the Fractal FM3 is with the 800 mod. I use it for pretty much everything. It has a good clean tone too which makes it great for making live patches using scene controllers.

FM3 with an expression pedal, DI to the PA. So easy!
The jcm 800 modded sounds just classic but could sound great in any metal situation... since having my pod go...I've been loving the REV red channel amp and the Friedman BE100.

My frav so far and goto is the Cameron CCV Usually the 2A.
I recently tried out a CCV and actually the 2A, and holy cow! It shines live. So punchy.

Is there a way to get the symphonic sound on the FM9?
Awesome as usual Leon! Question, a tad off topic here but you’ve been a MASSIVE help in my past tone quests so figured I’d ask. Do you know of any amp/cab switchers that would work with a MatrixGT1000FX in stereo sending out a L/R to said switcher? My rig is just AxeFx out1 stereo L/R>Matrix stereo>L & R cabs. Even the forum has me coming up blank. Appreciate any help you can provide.
Do you want the matrix to feed 2 different pairs of cabs?

When too much is not enough - use the symphonic setting!😂
Using the two symphonic options at the same time? And you comment on this?
Basically you need 6 delay taps to replicate it, hence the 2 MTD
