yeah, the FAS amps can be a bit of a revelation when one first stumbles across them. i think cliff designed them so they sound great even with everything at noon, as you've discovered. i'd love to see more FAS amps in the box, they're like "idealised" versions of the amps we've all come to know and love and they're all great.

Wow some great tones at 12:06-13:17. Great Job!!!! I bet if I had an FM9 I would have a Field Day with it, taking one of those amps. and swapping in a different set of Power tubes, and seeing what it creates as a different tone. And of course speaker cabinets, using one of those small Alnico magnet OXFORD speakers.

Although I still prefer captures of my amps (authenticity), this example here sounds very good. Maybe it's not always about authenticity but mere good sound even if the modeled amps do not exist in the real world.
@@crouchjump5787 depends on the music and if "good sound" is more or less important to the whole (Pink Floyd, U2), so yes and no. But yes, guitarists nowadays are the greatest idiotic snobs, they should just play and shut up because in 90% of the music "sound" is not closely worth the cult surrounding it. Skills and musicality is much more important.
