You are the best Soulsborne lore creator, no doubts. No one can trace this game's influences as well as you do. You have the insight to make implications so deep and at the same time so clear that it feels like you are unveling wisdom we were all meant to know. Watching your videos, beyond being great enterntainment, feels like taking history classes. Please keep doing this!

Honestly I can't gush enough about Tarnished Archeologist. I don't always agree with all of this theories, but his theories are absolutely unparalleled amongst ER lore RUclipsrs. SmoughTown is the only one that really compares for pure lore (Vaati is more into theatrical lore at this point), but that's largely because SmoughTown draws heavily from other theorists like TA!

I love the approach of this channel to lore speculation and analisys, because it's a step in the right direction: Hidetaka Miyazaki has always tried to hide concepts and references in the visuals of his games, and the less he gets costrained by technological limitations, the more he will drench his games in simbolism and straight up architectural references.
This, summed with an unavoidable limitation of translations being done in an industrial context and thus often losing some context/meaning in the process, makes it all the more vital that we all, collectively, start looking more at _what is phisically in the game_ and a bit less to just the descriptions (which often have been deliberately used as a text source in history is, being coloured by the beliefs and dogmas of the one writing).
In short, Thank you, you are a breath of fresh air.

When my buddy told me that my Church was an influence for some of this game and saw a picture of our ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew dousing parishioners in chrism I rolled my eyes and said "yeah right". Ended up watching that video with my jaw on the floor. Haven't watched for over a year but I'm stoked to listen to all of these before Elden Ring 2 (DLC) drops soon. You're a bright guy!

I really wanted to share this, the fingerslayer balde says this is proof of the high treason commited by the Nox, which is what caused them to be punished. Now if we look at the fingerslayer blade more closely it is a small version of the sacred relix sword. It has the double helix, the rib cage looking thing at the base and the little hand comming out of the side. The sacred relic sword is made from the remains of a god. Which lets us conclude that the Nox either killed a god or at least made the blade out of its corpse. Now the Greater Will wouldnt like that very much I am preatty sure. Astel is called "a star of ill omen". Well the mesopotamien astrologers belived that when the gods were angered they needed a great sacrifice or a star of ill omen would be sent as punishement (I am not exactly sure how correct this is but its something similar at least). This fits preatty neatly. The nox killed/defiled a god, and the greater will easnt to happy so he sent a star of ill omen (astel) as punishement. (Since the greater will sent the elden beast in a comet he is clearly able to sent cosmic beings to the lands between).
And finally I am not sure where exactly this fits in but the mesopotamiens also belived the during an eclipse the gods vision was blocked/impaired. So basically when they thought they angered the gods they needed to make a sacrifice of great value (smth like a king) but they had this loophole, because during the eclipse the gods couldnt see what was happening so they sacrfieced things like goats instead and the gods wouldnt know. Basically the point is miquellas eclipse probably has smth to do with blocking the influence/vision of the greater will so it wont be able to react to Miquellas plan before its too late.

This channel is what I called Evidence-Based Lore and Theorycrafting. Watching this structured and systematic explanation videos sometimes made me felt like reading an academic paper such as Systematic Review. I do hope you make investigation on the Divine Bridge accessible from Fortified Manor which seemed to previously led to somewhere very high before it was cut off, and judging from the name, like farum Greatbridge, bridge of sacrifice, or Liurnia tower Bridge it probably lead to something "Divine". Maybe it is related to previously cut Greattree? I also think if someone have the time to reconstruct the ruins that spread on Liurnia, Limgrave, and weeping peninsula which seemed like related to Farum Azula, I think it will provide some clue about Farum Azula and a cataclysmic event destroying it and uprooting it from the ground

I think this could be interesting: in Raya Lucaria, inside the church of the cuckoo, there is a hidden room with 7 stone coffins and a statue, all depicting women. There is empty space for an 8th coffin. In the game there are 2 lesser black knife assassins, 4 major ones, tiche has perished and alecto is locked away - 8 in total. Coincidence? How would Raya Lucaria or the cuckoo be connected to the night of the black knives? The women carry ornaments on their robes that I have not noticed anywhere else. Are there more likely connections?

Weird theory: Is the Study Hall able to invert because it is kept in a pocket dimension (or the magical equivalent) similar to the lands of the Eternal Cities? If those were removed from the land by magic, and thus created their own plane of sorts, could the tower have been made with similar skill, so that it would have its own physics? It might explain why it is able to invert without breaking its bounds or even seeming to alter the world at all. I may be misunderstanding what happens to the building, but it seems a plausible connection if sorcery shares a throughline from the earliest astrologers through the Eternal Cities and back to Liurnia.

Trying to look into who made the golems/imps/erdtree watchdogs, I pondered why leyendell and the sewers is the only place where imps are outside of tombs, and as I was looking about the sewers I came to a conclusion. The catacombs predate the sewers, much of the sewer system was built into the tomb, hence why residents of the tomb is now in the sewer. (not sure why they are in the rooftops of leyndell yet...) The chrurch of the forsaken for example is a erdtree burial chamber remade into a church. Would also explain why the sewers have a overabundance of corpses.
But going into the golems/imps/watchdogs. Do you have any theories inregards to them? They all seem linked, the crystal dart works on all of them, imps are called diminutive golems, the watchdog is called out to rule over the imps. Watchdogs and Golems have a similar firebreath, something unlike what Leyendel would sanction, moreso for a sacred site.

Does anyone know the connection between Margit/Mohg shackle and the fire totems you find in dungeons? After watching this I wanted to explore more of the sewers. In the Leyndell Catacombs you run into 3 burning putrid corpses next to a statue. This is the same statue you can find an omen praying to in the Subterranean Shunning Grounds. What I found strange was that if you use Margit/Mohg shackle next to this statue, it affects the fire totem in the next room. Hitting the statue does absolutely nothing but for whatever reason the shackles have direct influence on these statues and I was wondering if anyone had any details they’d wanna share on this. Thanks!

I'm sorry but this is why I hate Elden Ring "story". A bunch of grand details and plot elements, that are utterly non-chalantly presented so that RUclipsrs can spend 30 minutes speculating on what it all means.
"BRO THE SISTINE CHAPEL BUT IN ELDEN RING GUYS THIS TOTALLY *starts rambling for 30 minutes about how this might actually explain Melina's entire character".
It's a lazy, bullshit way to tell a story.
