A-hah! That was a good demonstration of how to use the seasonal hiring -- the off-season is planting and harvesting months, not "winter". Don't know why I didn't figure that out myself. I see white rocks and gray rocks on my map, but it's not clear from the wikis what they are. The white is lime and the gray is stone? And there's no iron ore on the map (so you have to buy it)?
Glad it helped you with the seasonal hiring! It is a very powerful tool when used correct to boost farming! Yes! The white rocks are the lime, the grey are normal stones! For now Iron ore is not in a map yet, so you need to buy it. It will be added later. Same as salt, you can build a saltworks anywhere now. They want to change that to specific locations were you can get salt in a later update.
Yes! I have three now in the latest episode of the series. There should be one near the town hall and one on the other side of the river near the granary.
