I have trust issues with everything, because people are cruel, and walked all over me for being so nice. So hopefully this will help me! Thanks for making this!
I know the exact feeling too... i hope it helps me too ^^ i wish you good luck!
Julia Jenssen you too! ^^
Peter Salucci I hope I can learn that too
Peter Salucci it does! From what I’ve heard! But sometimes you can’t love everything all the time i know. Since I’m a hyper sensitive person, I can’t love people as much, especially those who hurt me bad. I’m fragile and cold nature typed. Sooo... how can I love someone who has broke me? I can’t fix it anymore. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. But those who do treat me nice, I love them. Still, I hope we can learn to love. I’m rebuilding it to the best I can.
Absolhunter251
Hey I’m very similar to that... I love people who care for me and
Are nice to me, but I still try (key word *try*) to love my enemies.
Once this guy called me a name, a very rude and hurtful one too,
He didn’t like me very much for some apparent reason, anyway
I was very upset with him and told my parents... and well they
Wanted to tell the principal and I was like nooooo, but as you would
Know parents don’t listen 😂 so the principal had a talk with
Him. then this kid came up to me and asked why I snitched. I told
Him a didn’t technically since it was my parents... anyway he told me
That I somehow offended him (which I can’t recall but hey maybe I did?)
So I said sorry, Even though I don’t think I did anything wrong and I
Told him I would stop whatever offended him. He thanked me for that
And now we are aye ok.
It just shows that even if your not in the wrong loving them by taking on
The blame can twist their expectations and turn a bad relationship around.
It’s something I’m trying to teach my other friends but they still don’t quite
understand yet aha. But they’ll get there :)
Ps. Sorry if this is too long 😅
I want to be in love really badly, but I’m so scared of being abandoned or cheated on. My trust issues have fucked me up.

Well... ur not alone. And we do deserve better. Unconditional love.
BB DN wow, I... thank you for that... that means a lot right now. That was really sweet thank you!😊
Hey gurl, yw. It starts with ourselves, know who u are. Self love and putting up boundaries. Check Ross Rosenberg, he talks about self love deficiency. I haven't watched for maybe a year I was too stressed out, hmm maybe it's time for myself to go there again lol. I'm failing hard in life and being afraid for more hurt. I have cptsd and depression. My coping skills (what I can think of right now) are isolation, escapism and suppressing my feels. I'm researching from time to time about certain subjects and human behaviour (did this since a young gurl). I'm so conflicted cuz I know in my mind what to do to get better, but the emotions and feels put me off track. I was just watching this ruclips.net/video/GgZPkyRMles/видео.html hope it helps you. And there's the mbti personality test based on the works of psychotherapist Carl Jung a mother and daughter in psychology created it. It helped me in some extend and gave me new perspective in life. I'm an infj t, surprisingly I had taken the test when I was 15 and then totally forgot about it. But the beginning of this year when I took the test I got the same result and I got deja vu and remembered cuz of the picture shown when it showed the results. 3 days later I took the test again thinking it might be wrong and cuz of my emotions impacted it. Same result, with a slight difference in the percentages. Lol talk about trust issues against the outcome of the test and myself. Ofcourse take the outcome with a grain of salt cuz everyone has unique life experiences which develop us further in life. If I'm being real honest... I do have a glimpse of hope left that things will get better eventually God willing. So take care of urself and put ur faith in God, everything is possible! Much love, light and peace 🌟
I feel the same..

"Trust issues are developed when too much focus is concentrated on the pain, but not enough on overcoming the pain" That sentence really spoke to me, because its so true getting you trust broken hurts so much and all you want is to avoid that kind of pain in the future. But closing yourself off is making it so much worse!!! Because then you are forced to sit with your pain while being unable to move
How to deal with trust issues:
1. Ask yourself how your reactions line up with reality
2. Learn to be non-defensive when you communicate
3. Let people know what you need and be direct about it
4. Give people a chance to show you who they are
5. Practice open-ended conversations that allow for disagreement
6. Confront your tears and don't allow them to hold control over you
Thank you very much
Actually 6. meant "confront your fears", not "tears". That's what she said, I think they just had a typing error in the video.

Whenever I find my trust issues creeping in, I try to be as independent as possible. I might feel sad if people lie/cheat, but it would be more because of the time and energy spent on the relationship, not for the person itself. When things don't work out hank your lucky star!!!! Always keep your own personality, goals and values! It's not worth it to change who you are for anyone else but yourself.
This was a comment i was searching for. Thanks!
For me, it’s fear of rejection that stops me from opening up, it physically stops me from being honest with people I care about.
I mistrust people because they have proven to be untrustworthy. I give chances and I'm betrayed time and time again. Over and over💔
Brenda Krieger classic situations, why should we trust if others take advantage? Genuine question too so I’d love an answer from someone who doesn’t have trust issues.
I see, do you ever plan on working through those issues? What have people done to betray you in the past? Are their actions forgiveable?
He lies about the same thing continuously. We tried couples counseling and he would just talk over me. He currently has his own apartment for the past 4 months. The primary issue is he lies about not leaving me again!! He swears it's the last time every time. But it's been 3 summers in a row!! He's gone for at least a few months at a time.I am going no contact the next time he pulls this stunt!
Brenda Krieger you really should cut him off for good, this guy will just use you and then when he finds a new woman he might not even toss you aside, he’ll just cheat on her with you. Cut him off completely.

After seeing this video I’m motivated to work on myself and my severe trust issues.
It feels like in this day and age, it will be stupid to blindly trust people. Manipulation has become so normal, it's almost appreciated as a mark of a strong, smart person. Personal gains, fame, money, social-standing are more important than simple things like friendships and trust.

Aww, I'm sorry. Some people will definitely break our hearts, but it's all a matter of trial and error. Have you put your heart on the line since?
Also, trust people who have shown themselves trustworthy. And if they break your trust, tell them & give them a chance to rebuild the trust you had in them. Don't give up on the people who actually value your trust in them. 💕

Not the nasty kind of experience ^
SevCaswell here's advice: Don't put your trust in dodgy friends/people. It sounds crazy, but it's for your on benefit. Friends might not always be the people you can rely on. Sometimes they can make you do crazy things that can hurt in many ways. It's better to have less friends so you can spot the fake ones. For people, don't be too nice to people you don't know. What I mean by that is don't give them offers like money and stuff. They could take advantage of you.
@@Psych2go
Yeah, sure. Burn me alive. That sounds fun. I am never letting my guard down. People are proven traitors. All you have to do is control their dopamine and serotonin and you can get them to turn on their loved ones.
Promise them acceptance into a group, and they will do whatever you want them to. Everyone is a potential enemy and no one is a potential ally. The best I can brand them is "reasonable". That's my highest category. There are no f777ing allies.
@@mysseraefim7852

What hold me back from trusting others? People who lie and use me for their own benefit and then leave me in the dust. I had that happen all my life growing up, and so that taught me to be very careful of people. I trust very few people.

I think media and my own childhood trauma (which my brain has locked away, for my own mental and emotional protection) has gotten me into the mindset of “everything is always going to be bad in some way. People can be terrible and ignorant and violent, and though there are some good things in the world, they are few and far between.” I need to start learning how to trust, probably just on a small scale for now, like with close friends and family.
Some annoying person you might wanna talk through those types of feelings with a therapist. Personally, I wasn’t ever physically abused, my mom was, and she protected us from further harm.
I'm positive and always see the good sides of others, which also makes me easily trust them. Also nice, sometimes "too nice" and introverted, I somehow feel relieved when knowing someone with trust issues. It makes me feel like I'm not a lone wolf, that people can be sensitive too so that we can connect, I can learn from their experience (they're mostly wise) and I want them to feel trusted by me (I admit I can't be reliable except being a procastinator :3)
you seem nice, i wish i could see the good in people again. But, you know, trust issues happened because of people and now i mostly see the bad. So i just want you to know, to keep being the strong person you are. And also, i love wise and mature people to. (me trying to break my trust issues-)
Past trauma gives me trust issues, I'm a survivor of sexual abuse, but before being abused I had five months of a normal, non-harmful relationship with my abuser. That experience, plus not really having anyone who I can talk to fully about the effects of sexual abuse who doesn't respond to me like I'm crazy, outside of other survivors in support groups (who are angels!) has given me some trust issues, because I can't be real with a lot of people in my life, and it can be hard to feel safe when getting closer to people when that was the preclude to abuse.
This one goes out to my ‘friend’ that broke my trust so badly I still struggle to trust people even when I want to..
Thaaaaanks 🥰🥰🥰😒
I was in a relationship with someone who was totally a narcissist and I just can't get over how much that hurt. I'm sorry friend, but, be strong and seek the path out of the pain and hurt. Good luck.
What holds me back for trusting other?
Everything..
“ …But you need to decide if it’s holding you back “ Needed to ask myself this question and realize my fear of putting my trust into someone with such an unfamiliar feeling of being able to trust someone was truly holding me back from something that can be great for me. Hopefully I can practice this everyday and grow enough not to let something good slip away.
I know its been 3 years since you posted this but I really needed to hear this. I guess I knew I had trust issues but i guess i haven't worked through it completely and thanks to to the video, i can see some areas where I can still improve. So thank you for that!
My trust issues are the fact I am so insecure with myself but I always have a facade of confidence so I don't become vulnerable to people's toxicity. I feel like I'm never worthy enough for anything or anyone so I tend to close people out. Myself esteem is so low it's awful.
I am what one might call "slow to trust." I'm incredibly wary of people and am very slow to open up. I'm also the kind of person who once my trust is broken, it never comes back, not really anyway. I got into a fight with my brother, someone I trusted implicitly, and during that fight, he crossed an unforgivable line. I haven't spoken to him in over a month, save a few short sentences at family gatherings for the sake of courtesy. It wasn't the first time someone I thought I could trust hurt me, but it was the worst.
Not trusting people is not an issue, it is a blessing and a skill and i will not be working to change that thank you very much!
then why are u here 💀💀💀
"Give people time to show their true colours." -Psych2Go
I am going to keep this as my favorite quote, I'm going to use it so much! Thank you! The outro is so cool! ^^
The whole breaking old habits thing is very true. I'm way more used to people turning on me, ghosting me, or suddenly treating me as though I'm insignificant. And the first boy I ever kissed, turned around and kissed 7 other girls behind my back, 4 of which were friends of mine, while I was in the same room the next night. Not magical at all. When you're young and impressionable, the people you like and the ones who treat you like a friend become very important to you. When they suddenly stop talking to you for months while hanging out with other people, when your boyfriend tells you he likes the way you look but wants you to change your personality leaves a serious impact on you. On my birthday, I was surrounded by good friends and my current boyfriend who all love me very much. But I cried because I just didn't believe it or didn't feel like I deserved any of it. I'm having a hard time trusting that people are here to stay, and that they genuinely like me for who I am. I'm slowly getting there but it's taking me a lot of time to rebuild my trust in others, and believe that they're genuinely here for me.
For 10 years of my life (I’m going to turn 14 soon)
I’ve been manipulated without even knowing it.
I’m still in shock a 3 year old knew how to do that shit. I’m out of that hell hole now, but it’s still hard to trust. But this video helps me a bit
for me im still alright to be kind and helpful to others but when it comes to others helping me i always tell myself nobody owes me anything and learn to trust myself instead of others this makes me feel easier. After past trust issues with close friends i feel this is still the best for me.
After my experience in Highschool and up to first quarter of College, I already developed a personality disorder. Paranoid Personality Disorder because of the bad things I experienced back then. Whenever new information come to me, I automatically doubt its factuality and credibility. Despite having a hard time, I am still improving myself everyday. I am trying to open up more and trust more to those who deserve it. I am making a progress though slow.
I have the best guy in the whole universe and he’s for sure the one. I keep self sabotaging myself and if I don’t end up getting a grip on not trusting him when he’s done absolutely nothing wrong. I’ll lose him. I can’t lose him. I’m beginning therapy this week but trying to do some courses here
This is my exact situation. I’ve been destroyed in past relationships so there really is no trust left in me to give anyone. Self sabotage at its finest…. So good at it that I could probably teach an entire course on it. I finally met someone worthy of me and someone who has proven to me that he can be trusted. And all I’ve done is push him away. Getting a grip comment, I absolutely get!! I’ve said the same thing to myself because I know he doesn’t deserve to deal with the broken version of me and eventually, though he loves me, he will walk away because no one deserves to have to deal with issues caused by someone’s past. It isn’t fair to them. People always talk about healing from past trauma, I’ve researched and watched countless videos and nothing seems to help. Thinking about trying therapy myself.

But I’m feeling the weight more and more every day and it sucks because I have a hard time trusting the people i know the most.
I’m so scared of being used again. I’m so scared that I’m just as disposable as I always felt I was. And it makes me seem really needy and always needing reasurence because I’m always told it’s just in my head.
And I had the courage to think the people that did bad things to me didn’t leave scares ;-;
😔 how i feel
I've realized that over the years I just let go of the trust muscle, and don't really know how to trust... I guess I can practice and redevelop the trust muscle and make it work again.... thanks for this video!
Thank you so much. Just listening, I realized I know my new gf to the core and she wants this as bad as I do. We want a future together, so I know she will be true like I will. Such a relieving feeling. Thank you for this video.
I found it hard to trust people in my life because I had lacked a lot of trust within myself. I had been a people pleaser for a long time and I am at this point in my life where I am getting out of that. It is a rough process for me, and can definitely be emotionally stirring. It also came from experiences that I’ve had where people were doing things behind my back. I had lacked the proper skills and setting boundaries for myself and other people growing up. It made it hard for me to handle my emotions and the situations with people. Now, it’s getting a whole lot better. I’m learning now, and I’m in a relationship where I’m beginning to finally open up about things. There are times where I still feel insecure because of the disagreement of another, and other times I feel strongly to openly express myself. It’s a big flip-flop, and it’s a rough process as I mentioned. It’s very much worth it, and I see that as my angle to be completely cleared from everything that has held me back to trust people. That everything, is me.
thank you so much for this.
i just realised that the trust issues i have in my current relationship, are because i don't trust myself. i doubt myself so much so i doubt everything around me. my partner (of 5 years) has been so great and patient with me and i somehow still have something in me that's either doubting him or myself to trust him. he hasn't done anything to make me question him. it's just so hard and now i realise, it's me, i don't trust myself to choose the right person for myself. 🤧
@@lailafinch “I don’t trust myself to choose the right person for myself” that hit me.
Deep.
3:32 “Confront your tears” omg
Yep, doing that right now.
Thanks for this, I'm starting not to trust my friends because I feel like I'm worthless to them.
you aren't worthless, and if nobody has told you this today I hope you had a great day (^^)
Its the fear of knowing that my flaws will be magnified in their eyes and my past makes me cautious of everyone and my way of speaking.
Most of my friendships were fake. That’s why I have trouble making new friends because I don’t think I can trust anyone.
Personally, it's the fear of not being likable enough, and the mentality of "oh they're eventually going to find out all of my flaws and make fun of me....", then I will just back away... this issue is affecting every aspect of my life right now, but I have no resources to any therapy service... Idk what to do.
Man I feel you, I’m almost 20 and I still have never been in a relationship because of this thought. It sucks but if you would want, I’m here for you! What is your Facebook I’ll pm!
Yikes...
Judgments of people around and their misbeliefs hold me back from trusting them..their rejection and untruthfulness and betrayals made me move totally away from people.
Im beginning to open my heart more trusting can be difficult for me but I have to learn to let go it’s not called a trust fall for nothing
I’m so happy I was born and that I’m here to experience all this 😊
some people with trust issues tend to be people who can read and spot lies from people ngl
it sxvks.
I can never trust anyone anymore because I've been manipulated and lied to so many times 😔😒🥺😤💔👀🧐
I swear the same thing happened to me n it hurt so bad but instead of letting it break me I let it build me n fight against it cause I’m amazing Nd I’m not what family say I am I believe you can fight it also
When I was in my early thirties my closest friend was arrested, tried, and convicted for, let us say, a crime involving a minor. It was doubly crushing since the minor was a person I was also close to. I have had a hard time trusting and opening up to other men since then. Thanks for posting this video. Some of the things you talk about may very well help.
I have trust issues from past relationships and it is now affecting my current relationship. My man is so great and I want to be the best woman for him. He does not deserve to deal with hurt he didn’t cause. Fear is my number one problem that triggers the trust issues. The idea of spending my life with him makes it worth all the struggle to break free from not being able to trust.
How to Deal With Trust Issues:
1. Ask yourself how your reactions line up with reality
2. Learn to be non-defensive when you communicate
3. Let people know what you need and be direct about it
4. Give people a chance to show you who they are
5. Practice open-ended conversations that allow for disagreement
6. Confront your fears and don't allow them to hold control over you
I never trust anyone because I don't want to be attach to anyone and if I'm attach to other people they will leave me and I fear any form of abandonment
"give people a chance to be who they are"
Difference between prejudice and intuition is whether you bully someone or give them a chance.
Everyone deserves equal respect, except for bullies
I was too nice in the past. Although I treated my classmates nicely, they eventually started to ask too much of me, coming to me for favors during class or lunch. I started to resent the kids I was compassionate to, and I found myself craving validation from them.
Yes i have trust issues because ive been hurt many times. And dumped by many lovers
Awwww it's me jabbah
I have trust issues with myself and worrying about how i might mess up relationships lol
the fear of being hurt and betrayed and used holds me back
I think the knowledge that some people can be manipulative and yet appear nice frightens me the most. Like I think you mentioned the dark empath characteristic in another video, it’s that sort of person that I fear. Even though I know it’s unlikely, I’m always afraid that close friends have ulterior motives and will just leave if they don’t get what they want from me. So I have trouble with genuine trust because there’s always a part of me that goes “what if..” and I don’t want to get broken by that
I know this one all too well...
I don't trust anyone.
Would you like to one day?
@@Psych2go Of course. Trust is a beneficial part of life. Not being able to trust other people can cause problems in any type of relationship.

Going into my mind to the specific event has probably been the most helpful method of rewiring a great deal of mental knots.
You really do need to stop yourself sometimes
More on why women never see when they in the wrong people. Good video thanks
