    Your hair is a lot like mine. I’ve been wearing my hair straight a lot the past two years. I find that length retention is easier for me when straight or at least blown out.

  • @BeautyNGlamour
    @BeautyNGlamour 2 года назад +29

    Yes! I can’t stand when my ends are rubbing against my shirt or other fabrics. Always leads to frayed ends. Protected/tucked ends are key for me. I also learned that my hair needs to be stretched for max length retention. Can’t wait for Part 2!

    Great video! Lots of takeaways but I love the message of it being an individual journey. 😊 I have thin course hair but also low porosity. It took some to figure that out then more time to find what works. Acceptance was key for me 😃

    Thank you for this video! I'm always trying to improve my hair care. I'm in southeast Texas so I will rock a good blowout instead of straightening it. I use a heat cap to deep condition and it works wonders. I'm protein sensitive so I do a protein treatment before doing a protective or heat style. Great tips!

    I Airdry and use a tymo straightening brush OR blow dry with a comb attachment and use flexirods when the hair is still warm.

    Hi Mrs Jai Marii, a late Happy Mother's day to you! ❤ Love your tips of self care. I have fine hair and I get so annoyed at my scalp showing through my wash and go's. So I tend to just pull it in a ponytail. It's frustrating at times and I've stopped loving my hair 😭 But you've given me good advice, and I'll get back to caring for my strands. Looking forward to part 2.
    PS: you left off your list of products!😱

    Happy Mother's Day! I will say one thing that has never worked for me is castor oil. I know it is touted as the best thing ever but all forms irritate my skin / scalp. I've slowly come around to using more heat as well, it certainly makes a difference. Thanks for this video!

    Thank you for this and the product list! My fine hair loves moisture and little protein as well. I personally use hair grease on my scalp and ends to seal in whatever moisturizer I use. My hair thrives in spring/marley twists!

    I’m so happy to see your content I have fine hair 4b/c when I saw you unapologetically put box braids on your natural hair I knew we had the same hair type. I have Ben natural for years and still can’t seem to get my hair past my chin😢

    Protein transformed my hair! It actually increases volume. I can’t believe the natural hair movement discouraged using protein containing products for “low porosity 4c”. I was doing my hair a disservice for many many years!

    Thank you so much for these details. I am certainly inserting some of those tips in my hair regimen. Could you please do a video for different styles on natural hair. I know flat twist is one of your safe hairstyles; but what else. What other hairstyles can you think of without weave. Thank you 🥰🥰🥰

    Can you show us a section of your hair that is 4b vs another section that is 4c? I feel like I may have a mixture of both textures too, but I can't ever find anyone with true 4b hair to compare to.

    Happy Mother's Day. You are so adorable. LOL I never grew hair until I was 3 years old. I do not really have edges, and I am not going to cut my hairline to get edges. I have been natural 10 years this year and I remember when I started watching the few influencers that were on YT with natural hair...the first person I saw slick her edges down has fine, soft shiny curly hair. Her name is Mahogany Curls. I did not get into trying to slick edges that are not naturally there anyway. I am a mature gray haired women and I never wore braids, etc.. I could not find the extention hair in my color #51. Now they have it in the Expressions Afro Springy Twists, and I am having so much fun with finding ways to put these in my hair as twists. They are not extremely long because I am not trying to look like I did so many years ago. Everything in moderation. If you make the hair look realistic, then it's becoming. Thank you for all the hair lessons. You are a class act, keep up the good work !!!

    Is there anyway for you do to do high density hair

  • @1021Marcy
    @1021Marcy Год назад +3

    I believe that you do have fine hair strands, but you don't have low density. You have high density hair. Ppl confuse texture with density all the time. Low density is when you part the hair & it has a scalpy loo. It is possible to have fine hair & high density. You have a full head of hair BUT bc your strands are fine it looks less. So you just gotta focus on making ur hair look fuller. My stylist who does my silk press told me this about my hair & it was a game changer. Silk pressing & getting a blunt cut (layers make fine hair look thinner), using lighter/less products, dry setting the hair instead of wet setting (blowdrying), also switching to rollersets instead of twistouts, will make your hair fuller.

      I disagree with my hair. To me, it maybe medium density but def not high. I guess we all see different things!
