- There’s definitely a place in this world for sporty SUVs, but sometimes they can be a bit excessive.
You know the ones: plenty of power and performance, but not a whole lot of practicality to match. This is where the 2017 BMW X5 xDrive35i comes in. It may not offer the same degree of dynamism as its maniacal sibling, the BMW X5 M, but it can be fast and fun when called upon.

I test drove. 2017 X5 xDrive35i and fell in love with the drive. I purchased a Certified model. Best vehicle that I have ever driven!
Exactly the same with me too! Except I didn't test drive it as their certified cars are ace.

My friend aunt jus gave him a 2001 X5 and it has an oil leak and u can't fill the gas tank over half or you'll start smelling gas in the car and it has to pass emission is this gonna be a problem vehicle ?

I feel like if he went into one of the turns too fast and slid off the road...he'd still keep the same pace of tone and be like "Now....we've completely left the roadway. Let's see if we can survive and make it out alive. If you noticed the sound system is still fully functional in a crash situation" j/k Good detailed review though. Thank you!

Buddy, if max power comes in at 1300rpm, that means big drop in torque up top. Surely you mean max torque comes on early.

Maybe I'm old fashion, but if you want to pay extra for a performance M engine, don't waste it in an SUV, get a sedan or coupe. Sticking a souped up engine an SUV has always seemed to me like painting racing stripes on a mini-van, just kind of sad....

mbahadig99 No! it's not! They release this body type (F15) in 2014. BMW change their models every 7 - 8 years.
Ugh, why do reviewers always talk more about sportiness?
Its absurd, put these people in a jet sky and watch them tall about the "sportiness" and "sportscar" likeness of the jet ski.

20mpg ONLY!. Jeez for that engine it should be giving in the 23- 25 combined range. BMW has really fallen behind in engine tech.

Sport, sport, sport, sport, sport. Gosh. All reviews are so sport oriented. Get a clue guys. There’s a reason why Lexus is #1. They focus more on comfort. Most people like a comfortable car to drive. The sportiness that consumers are looking for, is the sporty look and styling of the exterior. Leave the sporty feel to juvenile, fast and furious wannabe kids. This is an X5. This is not for teenage drag racers. Reviewers should focus more on COMFORT. No adult would want to do a slalom on the freeway after a tedious day at work. They want to be in a relaxing, comfortable car. At the same time, driving in style. Get it? Comfort and style should be the focus.

It's not even about poor people, this BMW isn't even impressive for it's value for money. This USED to be one of the top SUV's... not anymore.

I had the previous generation x5 30D and brought the 2015 x5 40 D the car has gone down hill, steering is too light, suspension too bouncy, it drives like a merc not a BMW anymore, the older x5 was 10 times more fun to drive. Should have gotten a Porsche Cayenne ugh

I generally like BMW cars, but not this one. This car does not have the looks of a luxury expensive car. Hyundai Santa and Mazda cx-5 both look way better than this despite being less than half the price.
