Nice to see HotRod out with you on a little recovery like the good old days. Real nice of that trooper to let you get back to work too. Thanks for sharing!
I was wondering why Hellboy wasn't on the job, but Black Betty won the day....props to that Trooper for his civil attitude and customer service skills👏👏👏. I've got a couple of spare Aussie dollars I'm happy to contribute towards paying your fine, it's the least I can do to thank you Mr Wrecker Rick, for the entertainment that you provide with your videos 😃😃😃
A good example of the right tools making for an easy job! Couple of things: First, license plates do get stolen, it's happened to me twice. First time on a car I had in a "secure" storage place while I was out of the country on a job. The second from the carport of my home, I took the trash out one morning and as I walked back, I noticed it was gone. Since then I bought anti-theft bolts and lock the sucker down but good! The other thing, VIAIR Compressors, I've been using one for nearly ten years. Mine is a basic model just for car tires, single compressor, but has done some light truck tires no problem. Excellent product, used mine many times for my vehicles and other folks. Was just looking at their website recently, thinking of buying a dual-compressor model for my next 4x4. GOOD STUFF!!!
@@scuss2 Add 2 more VINs in areas that are way out of sight. An Air tag is also a good investment. If you are in a really bad crime area, and the trailer is not in use daily, Take the axle nuts off of the spindles. They can be reinstalled in about 30 minutes, and the thieves won't get far.
9:23 clutch disengaging on the G56. We pulled a stuck econoline van in the california desert with our ram 3500 diesel G56 and it sounded exactly the same. We had 37" tires and it slipped
It must have fell off , you funny. Arron’s was bringing a TV to the Hogan so they can watch your channel. That area has its own beauty and a lot of people miss it . I was out there once at night no moon and the stars were spectacular. Thanks for the ride
I've never heard of a Richard head but have heard of Mr. Karen. If Rick had not taken his chill pill before getting pulled over this incident would have been a lot worse. Glad the LEO did not search the truck.
As a former cop I hate to hear other cops says dumb stuff like "your tag is so we can find stolen vehicle or people that's committed a crime". No. Its to create more revenue.
Hey sir, my dad is a subscriber of you. He lives in southern Arizona. He just told me about your page, I live out in Belmont and an instant subscriber. Much love to your business and for all the help you do. Take care❤
Sheesh. If you dont want a tool box, get a couple of small duffels for tools and ropes and straps. Better than that mess in the back. lol. At least you got pulled over by a cop with no (bad) attitude. He seemed decent about it.
Neat recovery. Trooper was fair and you didn't run your mouth too far with excuses he'd have heard dozens of times before. You just forgot your ultra-cool Black Betty is stealthy as well as capable.
That's a great job with the recovery. Nothing damaged, nobody is in jail and no broken recovery vehicles. Great job, Rick. And maybe you should put a pump on the truck.
WOW! If some furniture is needed... Nice to see Hot Rod out and about. I guess they turned loose of him from the State Nervous Hospital. At least the trooper was cool about it.
When the cop said you have no plate i stopped to write this, Check the Toyota. Lol Gotta go Rick and finish the vid lol. Takecare and be safe out there. Greg
Thanks for coming to Navajo nation .. I tried to ask Matt’ Off Road Recovery to come help last year and they told me that they’re busy.. Like and subscribe my people
Road designs are created because drivers can't think, not because it's better. They recently changed a good interaction in my area that made things worse, but ultimately safer because nobody would work together or plan ahead
I got pulled over years ago. Someone stole my back plate while I was at work on the night shift.. they used it to do a drive off at a local gas station. Trouper told me to go home call the sheriff. Deputy stopped by and took my report. I had to buy new plates. Then I had to fight the drive off situation. Wasn't my car, I was at work. So that was easy.
In my State, any pickup licensed over 12,000 lbs gets only one plate, and it mounts on the front. Oregon, Kansas, and Virginia wanted to argue, Oregon and Virginia downright accused me of lying when I told them that I was issued one plate. They started printing those facts on the paperwork, so they must have been getting a lot of feedback over the years. You should put "Bam-ba-lam" on the back of that rig, you know. Some of us will get it 🙂
@@maartengaat8718 In my case, as in many others, reciprocity applied. What I was really getting at was the number of plates and where they are to be mounted. Having an (other State) officer trying to claim you were in violation by not having a rear tag when your home State gave you only one, with instructions to mount it on the front, must of got tiresome, because they started printing "Single plate issued, mounted to front" on the paperwork you are to carry in the vehicle.
You are surely out there arent you. Ive never been any where that there werent any trees. Youre right, It is beautiful. Good job, good to see ya. dC fayette ga.
I have a question , how much air do you run in your tires on the road . In general , on a semi I believe you should run a high pressure as determined on the sidewall , but on your smaller vehicles , do you run whats specified on the sidewall ? Or do you go by the way the tire conforms with the ground . Depending on both rim and tire size width , Ive found you have to go by the way The tire conforms with the ground . Thanks .
Quite gracious of that officer... Nice of him to let you back to work! Seems to me (and likely the cop) that you use the truck off-road mostly and the highway details got overlooked...
So I have a 2019 Chevrolet 3500 short bed. I’m looking at getting a bumper and a winch. What is your suggestion on a good and reliable winch with out dropping I ton of money. I don’t know what winch to get. I have a 12,000 pound toy hauler and I might upgrade in a few years, and my truck is 8,500 pounds. I’m thinking I might need a 16,000 to 18,000 pound winch or bigger I don’t know. I’m not looking to spend $4,000.00 on a warn wrench but I want it to work when I need it.
Get a warrior winch, I’m putting them on all my trucks, I just got done trialing an 18k on the front of hellboy, pretty bulletproof! Very reasonably priced too! They are going to be one of our sponsors.
Someone in Denver CO copied my sister’s MINNESOTA license plate. She got many red light, car pool, toll road tickets. She sent in her work card, supervisor signed.. they were going to have her arrested she was such a criminal. She drove over 12 hours *non stop 15 over limit EACH WAY* to save few bucks on toll road. It finally got tossed without her arrest. But more were added. They refused to accept first decision. She got new plates $$$
Get a trailer hitch and get the mud flaps that can mount in it or build them. Then you can take them off and throw in the back seat when you don't need them.
To Wrecker Rick I let the air out the rear tires on a two wheel drive pickup truck a long time ago so I could make it back to the vo tech school where I was taking a welding course because all of a sudden a freak snow storm hit Harrison Arkansas that was the only way I could get back up a steep hill going up to the school! I believe I let the air out of the tires down to 20 pounds of air to make them like a caterpillar track and it worked! There was just a pickup cover on the bed of the truck I had to let the tires spin and burn there way down to the black top to get up the hill! The idea just came into my mind from some where because I had never heard of doing that before that time! It's a True Story because it happened to me!

I had to rivet my plate to my tandem axle trailer. But that doesn't do any good because an angle grinder can grind off the VIN off the tongue.
I've had the same Viair powering my exhaust brake for 22 years without a hiccup.

Rear Steer Rick; I’m glad you and Hot Rod weren’t jailed! Excellent recovery brothers!
😊
Nice recovery and thanks for taking us along. Black Betty looks like a wonderful daily driver with tires.
Yes sir Mr Rick I knew it I just knew it you outlaw you. good stuff as always sir 🇺🇲
Thanks 👍

No license plate on your main recovery vehicle 😱. What The What! WTW , that Trooper was kind to you.
Yeah he was
Polite manors get you much further than being a richard head.
Wrecker Rick for the win.
Ooopppss mister outlaw is going home and looking at all his plates tomorrow
I've never heard of a Richard head but have heard of Mr. Karen. If Rick had not taken his chill pill before getting pulled over this incident would have been a lot worse. Glad the LEO did not search the truck.
Never heard anyone else use the term Richard head 😂
Nice house
Found the boot licker...
That was a cool recovery Rik...Stay safe and see you on the next one
Like the tires you just need a little bit more of a lift on Black betty

Well hell I guess you have to have a plate.
It’s all good. Recovery was the easy part!!

safety tip always run a lic plate less cop stoppage that way oh mud flaps too
The Trooper has heard the old, "I'm on my way to recovery" line before...
You might have just a touch of tire rub. My friend. Love watching those Ram 's work.
Navajo Rez! Nice to see a channel like this making content out there. Definitely my favorite channel now.👍👍👍

Poor Black Betty. So much pinstriping and work. You ought to fly me out there to detail her, really nice. 👌🏻
Nice job you 2 have a wonderful weekend
Thank you! You too!
BB needs some toolboxes for recovery ropes to make easier access
Oh yah, I noticed that myself.
That Aaron's truck had mad pinstripes. They get Western !! 😂

Yup she's got some stories to tell 😂
Another great job! Ya got out didn't even put a scratch on that trooper.
You got that right!
WOW!
OUTSTANDING!
MAY GOD BLESS YALL
AND TAKE CARE!
200 miles trip without a plate and no wallet, that‘ risking spending a night in jail.
Just ask Mortske.
Mortske was a stolen vehicle that wasn't removed by insurance company. Bill of sale covers you, in most states, to get the vehicle home.
@kimjaniszeski498 Tell me you haven't watched mortske's video on this without telling me you haven't watched his video.

Thank you for your attitude with the police officer. I appreciate your respect and willingness to work with him.
Law and order every time
No one is above the law !
And here i been thinking you had some sense!!! No tags!!!!! How long have you been driving vehicles on the road ??
@@everettwalker9141 Not even any bolt holes where it would go.
What was the recovery time - 2 minutes!?!? BLACK BETTY looks strange without her tracks! BE SAFE
Black Betty in Stilettos, eh?
Great job guys. That mega cab is a beast but sure is noisy. 😂😂😂😂😂
I see a new name, Outlaw Murphy's diesel
Great winch out, love the way you do it.
That's a great job with the recovery. Nothing damaged, nobody is in jail and no broken recovery vehicles. Great job, Rick. And maybe you should put a pump on the truck.
That was cool!!!
A nice quick easy recovery.
Yes it was!
For every like, I will do a cogg push up
Nah, ain’t liking it. Do your own push-ups nerd.
Get them likes to 1k 😂
WOW! If some furniture is needed... Nice to see Hot Rod out and about. I guess they turned loose of him from the State Nervous Hospital. At least the trooper was cool about it.
Rick your tires are hitting when you turn. Black Betty looks amazing

Great recovery company
Plot twist: the Aaron's truck is a rolling lab built by Walter & Jesse 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣
😂
The police officer was professional. The recovery was well done.
Need to widen wheel wells for the big rubber just saying

He needs a Sponsor to donate one.
Good job and video
