He did this after already singing for 2 hours in a concert! The movie had technical assistance for the singer, because "no one should be able to do this!" LOL. He is Heavenly sent for sure! Did you listen to Ave Maria?
This song was PURPOSELY written to be IMPOSSIBLE to sing, and it's quite obvious in the movie (also one of my favorite films of all time, btw😉) the female singer's voice was electronically enhanced in parts. But here it's pure Dimash. ***And that was an 11 DISTINCT note downward run in a mere 1.5 SECONDS, thank yeeeeew very much!!!!❤😮👏👏👏😵💫❤

It was 2020, at the height of COVID, I was watching the original version when I came across this cover saying "Dimash (The Best Singer of the World)". I was like "a man singing Diva Dance?" and then after I watched it six times straight, thinking "that CANNOT be his real voice!"

This was during his Bastau concert and definitely the best version although he does go into the whistle register when he does it as part of The Drunken Concubine.
He's just announced a concert in Hong Kong on 23 December which will celebrate the 7 year anniversary of his arrival in China to take part in the show that blasted him to fame.
You should check out when he did the theme song for The Power Rangers. You can actually watch his New York concert from 2019 on his channel. It was incredible. Only artist in the world I have ever gotten on a plane to go and see.

Dimash is not an alien, of course, but a person who spent thousands upon thousands of hours to train his vocal instrument (and continues to do so at least 3 hours every day). His dedication, discipline, and character are so awe-inspiring!

He performed this song on his first solo concert in Kazakhstan called Bastau in 2017. It was after he finished The Singer competition in which he also performed The Diva Dance together with another awesome Italian song Confessa by the Italian singer Adriano Celentano. The Bastau version is short but in my opinion muuuuch better. He was much more relaxed there because it was his concert and no competition. What fascinates me the most is, that he sang this song in his concert where he had already been on stage for almost 2 hours. Just unbelievabel🤯. He worked so hard for this terrific concert. I was scared at first when I saw him. He was so terribly thin.
There is another jaw-dropping performance of Diva Dance. It’s called Drunken Concubine and it is from the Shanghai Spring Festival Gala in China. He sings with Li Yugang, a great Chinese Opera singer who usually plays a female in classic Peking opera. He is a very famous singer in China. The two harmonize so well together. It’s really fantastic. I love it and I’m sure you will like it, too🥰.

He is a famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
Olimpico is a masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote for Dimash’s vocal skills. This song and especially this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰. I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I have gasping breath all the time. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so demanding and commanding. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯

But in order to enhance the "cosmic effect" and give an "alien" sound, Eric Serra ( author of the music) included elements of computer processing in it. The most successful and closest to the original is the performance of Dimash, who sang LIVE both in China at Singer-2017 and at this concert.😊❤

I was also shocked at how relaxed the audience was for this incredible song but it was well into the Concert. They were likely a wee bit overstimulated by that point. I know I would have been.

Dimash is amazing. Not only his voice, technique, range, but his quality as an entertainer is so good.

For me Dimash is taking this song to a whole other level that exceeds the original version. ❤️ I have listened to other people (females) trying to sing this and they can’t fully make it through the song because of it’s degree of difficulty (unsingable for a human being). If anyone wants to be picky about this Dimash is actually not singing the song exactly as it’s written note for note, but I have no doubt what so ever that he would be the one who actually could do that flawlessly if he wants to. 🥰 The great thing about Dimash is that he takes a song and make it his own.
