Yeah everything getting far too expensive these days mate. Glad you are liking the Soto Windmaster, been using mine for about 14 month so far and have no plans on changing it 👍🏼
Yep the British weather another glorious summer 😅I'm same tho not been to lakes in weeks and weeks I've a week off next week so it's having it weather not looking good tho but I'm going to lakes sod it
I found a good location yesterday for wild camping and there’s also a cave explore with a small waterfall inside.looks like someone as wild camped there before as someone as had a fire.the camping spot is just outside the cave on a flat elevated area.perfect spot. Check yordas cave just outside ingleton. There’s a massive cave system on the top too but it has to be abseiled into.that’s called rowten pot.
Good vid Liam. The tent looks decent and very waterproof? Did you have to seam seal it yourself? Only asking because I've got the Lanshan 1 and never used it yet with all this rain and I haven't had a chance to seam seal it yet. Love the sound of rain on a tent it helps me sleep even better when camping. Thanks for the upload and sharing the experience.
I put a little dab of seam sealant on the guy line tie out points, just all over where the stitching is just to be sure. I know with the lanshan pro you have the seam seal a lot more than that, so fingers crossed with me having the none pro i’ve done enough 👍🏼 no leaks for far anyway. Thanks for watching pal
I live in cullingworth i walk on there every week for exercise and i love it goitstock waterfall nearby too if you want some where to walk not wilsden its cullingworth but its not far away hardem near too ❤❤
I've done the same with the pan. Luckily I always take a small multi tool proper cheap ebay thing weighs nothing, but has pliers so they grip well on the pan lip. Lids from roses or quality street are really good lightweight trays/pot stands/plates.. Them big drips would have done me in all night from the bridge
You know... that tent. I have seen you use it a few times now and it is kinda genius for the ability to cook in it. I know it isnt ideal but there is plenty of ventilation and... needs must with those dirty rotton filfthy stinking pests. Haha. Its great :D. I love looking at different camping gear that people use. Its a tough market to be honest. An under developed one to be truthful but things have undoubtedly come on a long way since i was a kid on holiday with my folks using a paraffin lamp and a... very questionable gas stove to be honest. Haha. I know some peeps still do use the paraffin lamps but... options a plenty now. In any case it is a market that requires durability while having to obey strict weight targets etc. There is no such thing as the perfect solution in camping gear... yet. Maybe there never will be. Thats all the fun though. Ya find what works for you and ya roll with it. Great content man. As always. 👍
Great video, really enjoyed it. Cows and midges are what we have to put up with, and all you hear from the Americans is moaning about bears and snakes.

You're right to be wary of cows as they kill more people than any other animal in the UK. I recently abandoned a wild camp half an hour before dark up on Mount Famine near Hayfield in the Peak District. A huge cow suddenly appeared in front of my tent and I chased it away but then saw a herd of about 15 cattle on the steep hillside below my tent. It was not worth taking the risk of staying.😢
@@redeyedmongoose2963 When I was leaving the herd of cows had collected lower down blocking the way. Rather than walk through them, I circled round to the left of the herd and approached along a stone wall. When I got to the cattle I made use of one of my walking sticks in the manner of a farmer. I struck it hard on the ground and pointed it at the cattle shouting loudly "away". It took 3 shouts and then the whole herd stampeded away which would have been very dangerous if I had been in the open part of the field. They are not going to stampede into a stone wall so being positioned up against it was a safe thing to do.
@adriant1940 I am not scared of cows but I am wary of their curiosity . We were always taught not to land a sailplane in a fields with cows in them because they will come over and tread on the wings. Equally an expensive tent could easily be destroyed by them. When I decided to pack up and leave I had to move the herd of cattle which were directly blocking my route and I was perfectly happy to do that proving I was not scared to pass close by them after herding them from the path.
Ya could have made a handle with ya fork, if ya bent the 2 middle prongs one way and the outer two the other and forced it down on the side and then bent the handle :D
@@RootsLion oh yeah some1 mentioned earlier that he’d camped here before. He literally lives 5 mins walk from my house so more than likely end up camping at similar local spots 👌🏼
No but we do it anyway.. Officially, there is no law that allows wild camping in England, because actually all the land is privately owned. The land is either managed by an individual or an organisation. That's why the law says that you have to ask permission before camping somewhere or staying overnight with your camper. In some national parks like Lake District its ‘tolerated’ …
Iv been told if campers get caught, arrests can be made, and the maximum offence is 3 months in jail or a £2,500 fine. Unfortunately, these laws are inhumane , unnatural, and criminal. everyone should have the right to experience nature, and if the governments are scared of a tent, then there is something seriously wrong
@@VeganWorld-rw9bk that's not even remotely true. it's a civil offence, not criminal, IF YOU LEAVE WHEN ASKED TO DO SO by someone responsible for the land. Only 'trespass on the railway' is a criminal offence in itself be respectful, don't have fires, leave no trace. Never had an issue. I have been 'caught' by farmers a few times and always ended up having a chat. the only worry I ever have is getting shot by hunters in woodland by mistake
