I’ve finally bagged Ben Nevis to complete my 3 national peaks and once again got so lucky with the weather, stunning blue skies and was pleasantly surprised to see plenty of Snow towards the summit

I’m pretty used to the weight of the pack now especially in summer when its lighter, and i’ve never hiked up a mountain without all my camping gear on my back so a guess I don’t know any different 😅

I appreciate that so much Richard, I just try to be myself in my videos as much as possible.
The only thing that should be slowly changing is my confidence on the camera which i’m still not 100% there yet but getting there! And hopefully the vids just keep improving.

i have seen some that get stressed out from the analytics side and worry over why hasnt this got this many views or this review was top class editing but no-ones watched it. all i can say is sometimes people prioritise and come back to videos but anything gear related doesnt always hit the radar til someone sees something of interest then in turn watches the review video which could be months later. i agree with everything you say, definitely will come a point where the subs rocket up. reckon a collab with someone or a podcast will help!
Liam has actually done a vid with English Woodsman a few months back, it could of even of been late 2022. My memory isn't the best lol, but I have seen it.

Brilliant videos you post! I was at the summit in 1968 with my dad. I was aged 10 with about 1/50th of the kit you have with you. I would highly recommend anyone to read the history of the observatory once up there.

I was gutted to see you take the tourist route. The cmd arête is a phenomenal hike.
I’m a tourist mate 😊 I did the same with Scafell Pike & Snowdon.. took the easiest route the first time but like with those, i’ll be back mate 👍🏼
@@GoodBlokeOutdoors 100% next time do the cmd it’s #7 I think but the arête is amazing views almost zero tragic but guaranteed zero Americans 😂. The boulder dash is nice to then up to the summit that’s always heaving. I fancy doing a winter camp on the summit this winter. Hope the cars running better now. Alb Stephan 👍🏼

Well done mush! Lucky there with weather n visibility as when we did was spring, zero view all day n wet as f. Apparently summit averages only 14 clear days a year. Got mates from badfraud who do ben, snowdon n scafell in 24 hrs, with a driver who probs has a few points😂

Better to turn back if the weather is too bad, hopefully you get to attempt it again soon, keep checking the Mountain Forecast and go on a clear day 👍🏼

Well done chap. You were blessed with the weather on that one considering the Ben is in mist and cloud 80% of the time. Have a go from the North face next time, absolutely spectacular. If you're crafty enough or pushed for time you could get the ski lift upto the mountain restaurant, then onto the CMD Arete to the summit. Go as light as you can cos you don't want to be lugging a heavy pack along the CMD ridge. Cheers,Ozzy.

I’ve been one my whole life.
I graduated from Berklee College of Music.
Wouldn’t class myself as a ‘musician’ as such but I do do all the music on the channel, so the music you hear i’ve produced, play guitar, drums, piano etc. Not so much these days but still have a dabble from time to time when I make a track for the channel 👍🏼

Thanks mate, yeah If I go back I’d like to do the CMD Arête. It was quite busy but guess its to be expected on the ‘tourist’ path. This was a Wednesday 👍🏼

@@GoodBlokeOutdoors there are camp spots next to the river if you start from the north face carpark. Although I did it with all my camping stuff on me and started to regret that after a while easier with a day pack.
When I was there a canadian girl that went up there in a pair of sneakers and broke her ankle.
Apparently a helecopter goes up there annually to take off all the rubbish tourists dump.

I rarely weigh it but with it being my summer kit Probs no more than 10kg mate
