Have you ever cut mylar stencils with this laser, if so what setting did you use?
We haven't tested mylar yet, but are adding to our list! We have cut it on our Cricut but it did require quite a few passes. We aren't sure that it would work in the Aura machine since it's a translucent material. It looks like others have used it in the Glowforge Plus and Pro, though.
How does the laser do with cutting intricate shapes that you want to keep? Like could I cut out 1/8" tall heart or star shape?
You can definitely do that! You might run into the little pieces falling through the crumb tray but you can just remove the tray and retrieve your cuts.
Can I use it with paper that’s 250 or 300gsm?
Yes, both should work great! You may just want to experiment with your settings to see what works best for each weight, first.
