And we know there was no love lost on Yoko by Paul and the rest of the Beatles at that time. The way John would bring her into the studio . She was very intrusive. None of the other Beatle woman sat in during studio time back then.

I think that most people just don't understand the profound effect of parental abandonment on the psyche at such a young age ... it changes the brain development, skews perceptions and emotional reactions and even much later in life when we're supposed to be "over it", it still has an enormously profound impact!!

    • @mariafantasia1191
      @mariafantasia1191 5 месяцев назад +5

Exactly. Julian's father, John, went through abandonment and rejection from both his father and mother. Although his mother would see him, John was taken away from her and put in his aunt's care. So to have both your father and mother disappear from your life at a young age is going to severly impact. People want to judge John Lennon, but the trauma of his childhood clearly had a terrible impact and you're right - you don't get "over it".

As a mad Beatles fan, I visited Liverpool and did a personalised tour of the Beatles houses and places where they met and played.
When we got to John Lennon's house, I was shown where his mother was killed crossing the road and was told of the abandonment/rejection by John's parents - even his mother who couldn't care for him. And how he would, as a young boy, visit the orphanage at Strawberry Fields to sit with the children there as he felt so terribly abandoned himself, even though he lived with his (strict) aunt Mimi.
Clearly, John Lennon didn't have the emotional intelligence to deal with his early marriage/responsibilities, and the demons from his early trauma ran very deep. To expect him to be this great father to Julian is an unrealistic expectation.
In later years, when Sean was born, John was clearly in a different mindset.
Regardless of all the judgement against John, he was never going to be capable of doing any differently towards Julian as that was the templar his own parents embedded in his childhood memories.

  • @skelter1153
    @skelter1153 10 месяцев назад

McCartney's intentions in writing that song were bourne out of Love, Concern,
and Empathy for basically his Nephew.
Paul's personal Heartbreak for John's first born Son was intense enough to render a beautiful song about strength,
    and essentially forgiveness.
Paul KNEW Julian was going to be
shut out of his Father's life and instead of remaining silent about it, Paul used his incredible gift to offer Julian some kind of comfort when everybody else
    just remained quiet about it.
    Paul wrote "Hey Jude" because
ONLY Paul could write "Hey Jude."
There weren't many people in those days
who would, or were even capable of standing up to Lennon when he was being a total b@stard.... and make no mistake, Lennon could be, and sometimes WAS a total b@stard.
Paul wasn't afraid to point it out to EVERYONE: "Right! This little Boy
is going to suffer a major loss here!
    Somebody should comfort him.
    ....I'll be that somebody."
Yoko WILL reap the bitterness she has sewn... it's that thing John once wrote about: *KARMA.*

      Proverbs 25:20
Like one who takes away a garment on a cold day, or like vinegar poured on a wound, is one who sings songs to a heavy heart.
      It’s the song of fools.
The song is in the key of F Major with the subject matter of someone leaving their child to commit adultery.
Paul McCartney writing pop/rock songs that end up in a nah nah nah nah pub style chorus to cheer a young boy up didn’t really help.
The sheet lyrics gifted to Julian were at his Fathers and Yoko’s place when John died. Yoko refused to return the original sheet lyrics among other belongings to Julian when John died.
As a result of all this Julian had to buy them back secretly when Yoko put the lyrics up for auction.
      How ridiculous is that?

And yet people are so judgemental towards John Lennon for being who he was, despite John Lennon having his own lived trauma of rejection/abandonment by his father and mother who, regardless of loving him/visiting him, couldn't care for him and thus, he was taken away and put in the care of his aunt Mimi.
Unfortunately, John Lennon didn't/couldn't cut the trauma cycle and it continued and impacted on Julian.

I will always have good memories of Cynthia. I was in Toronto Canada with Cynthia and she was telling me that Julian was in N.Y. fighting Yoko in court over his inheritance . she was supposed to release his money to him and she was refusing to give his his money he was to get. Yoko was a real piece of work.. there are so many things about her that folks don't know about her. and it would probably be to her benefit for folks not to know more.. but i want Julian to know his mother talked about him all the time i was with her.. he had bad times but i think his mother did alright by him..

John was unbelievably selfish and have everything to Yoko and her son which is awful! They haven’t got an ounce of talent Julian does. Plus that song made about Shaun Lennon. Makes my blood boil when you think about this one in regular to Julian who was only 3! He didn’t do anything to deserve this, His his Mother was supporting him alone.

I divorced with my ex when my son was about 3. I hoped he would be young enough to accept it but in some ways it has stayed with him. I pretty much dedicated myself to him. I've sacrificed relationships to be the best Dad I can be to him. I always felt he deserves that and I owe that to him. I think him knowing he's my priority has made a difference.

Dads! DO NOT a walk away from your wife and kids! If there’s abuse then that’s a different story-get you and your kids to safety. Abandonment is lifelong destruction of the family unit and to our emotional well-being. Men are called by God to be providers, protectors and leaders of the household. Treat your wife like a queen and she will treat you like a king. Do not aggravate your children, but bring them up with love and discipline. It’s that easy.

@@dontgoout1434 Of course there are more serious, even worse things in the world....that doesn't mean that abandoned children can't feel a great deal of pain too - when someone is rejected by their own mother or father, it can be a hurt more acute, profound and long-lasting than even physical discomfort (though probably not as bad as starving I admit😥)

My parents were divorced when I was 2 years old, and I have memories of them together, I remember a Christmas, I remember how it was. Then it went bad, my mom did wrong, my family fell apart and it’s been a wreck ever since that we’re all used to (sisters and I) but it’s generally snowballed a bit worse every year. I’m not sour that my family wasn’t the “ideal American family” but I understand what he means that it’s a reminder of a bad time.
