They writers missed a chance to do a legendary dual! Imagine how fire it would have been to see Regina and Zelena battle the black fairy and I mean at least put up a good fight win or loose!
@Jonah Munley In terms of strength, Maleficent is much stronger than Regina. (even Emma was a bit afraid of her.). And Gideon has a great magical talent from birth(apparently a good bloodline) so he is much stronger than Regina

Maleficent is self taught though and due to her retirement, her spells were shown to be outdated, like her sleeping curse which Regina perfected in the years. Don't forget that Regina defeated Maleficent with quite some ease, and Regina was not one to oppose people stronger than her at that time (remember that she was afraid of the real Ursula for example). Gideon also was really not shown to be particularly strong, much less stronger than Regina. The thing simply is that he had light magic, which is straight out superior to dark magic to the point where it's even written that dark magic can never snuff out light magic.
I get pissed because they always made Regina out to be so weak even though they’ve demonstrated many times that she is quite powerful. They never let her beat the crap out of Zelena (well I guess the EQ did), The Snow Queen (fire and ice) or this stupid black fairy
She is not strong enough even with the pendant... Rumple explained this in an episode, she has century of experience with dark magic. Also remember had she defeated Emma, she would have been able to break the laws of magic. This would have been achieved if Rumple did not intervene by killing her with her own wand. Again, rumple was originally destined to be the original saviour who was born to destroy the greatest evil (the black fairy). Zelena was no match to her at all.

How about when she kills Baelfire and doesn't even let his father mourn him? I had to try and forget that part in order for me to actually really like her by S7.
i like jamie murray but i'm not getting anything from her acting here. the laughs are too fake. it's like bec's own problems with conveying emotions, x 100.
I agree 100%. Her “evil laughs” were actually annoying af and didn’t sell the whole villain act. It was like hearing the scraping sound on a chalkboard

yeah you are right, Seeing the 2 sisters uniting their powers against the black fairy would have been very interesting to watch
and honestly, They were even more dangerous and powerful when they were demonic
It’s kinda annoying Regina is very powerful but they weaken her so much to the point where I’m like she can overpower certain people

When they are good they are week but when they are evil they can kick ass I hate how they write movies and shows
