I just built my Tamiya bruiser 2012 reissue after about 7 years in the box. Turned out very nice. I installed the 12mm hex conversion and Im running 2.2 gearhead aluminum slotted rims on 1.9 intertec super swamper tires. I also used the aftermarket aluminum steering pivot arm. It takes a lot of the slop out of the steering.
I ended up leaving them in, after lots of use they've softened up nicely. It'll never be like coil springs and 4 link, but it's enough the truck can mostly keep up with other rigs as long as the gates are far enough apart to get the back wheels through!
Okay, I "liked" because I like and I've "subscribed" because I liked and also because, for some reason, the "sort by" filters on RUclips no longer work so, without a subscription notice, I won't know when you've uploaded your next video. Anyway, I really enjoy watching your videos. So whatcha got planned for HG-P407 next??
I had that same bearing fail on mine. Glad you told me what bearing size it is as mine didn't come with a manual.

Did you also remove a leaf spring to give the rig softer suspension?

Need to ditch the steering set up and site the servo nearer the front wheels to lose the slop.
You're not wrong! It makes it drive like a truck rather than a boat!
Thats what we did in this video: ruclips.net/video/FUmX42DnOqc/видео.html
