If you remove the one grub screw on top of diff housing you can insert the locking pin through it. You’ll have rotate axle until hole lines up. Just make sure it’s screwed all the way like he did on the axle shaft.
Yes, there is a big difference, like almost 30yrs. The clone is based upon the 2012 58519 Bruiser which itself is based upon the 1985 58048 Bruiser, with a few changes. I like the TRX4, especially the axles, but the Clone gives you a pretty accurate and decent scaler with leafs for $200.
Watch the video again. I go through the process of locking the differentials. And yes the pins are included with the parts bag that comes with the truck
I don't understand why remove the diff and dissemble it only to install a pin that is, not only included with the truck, but was designed to be installed in seconds via a hole/port on the diff housing. No make senso.
I did that for two reasons. One, I wanted to see if the differentials and the transmission were properly lubricated. Two, I was curious to see the design of the differentials. It was interesting. I know that it seemed like it was not really needed, but I have had too many RTR;s that were not properly greased, and led to failure.
@@Clickbaiters why does it matter how he installed the pin? Its his video and his truck. Honestly if he wanted to tear the truck down to nothing then so be it. If you dont like his methods then kick rocks.

I really appreciate your videos, enjoy watch someone actually performing grades and fixes . Thanks, and looking forward to more
You are very welcome. I am glad that your enjoying them. Thank you for watching.

Yes sir. You are correct. However, I decided to disassemble the differentials for inspection
IF you are lucky and the holes align up perfectly :D In my case it took quite a lot fiddling to put it in even with the diff disassembled.
You don't have to take the axle out. Just undo the bolts and twist the axle around till you see the screw for the diff lock.
Took it apart for inspection
That was a easy upgrade and worked great. it’s cool that pin locks it up.
Thank you !
The more videos I watch recently on the HG P407 makes me want to get the TRX4 Kit instead. 😄
There is a big difference . The trx4 is is more capable and it gives you that cool articulation

You dont have to take anything apart to lock them. Take out the grub screw screw in the pin put grub screw back in. Done.
Yep. I am aware of that. I took the axles apart for inspection and to see if they were properly lubricated.I do this with nearly all rtr's.
Great video the pin used to lock axle is that a 3mm grub screw or ? Thanx Tim
Thank you Tim for watching. Remove the grub screw and replace it with the pin. But make sure that the axle with the drilled hole is inserted first.
Sir can u make a video on how to lock the differential??? Plsss🙏🙏🙏 is the pin included in the truck?
Watch the video again. I go through the process of locking the differentials. And yes the pins are included with the parts bag that comes with the truck
What esc that u use??why the dragbrake dosnt work??
The original esc has no drag brake
@@RCMechanicGarage tq..stay healty
wow lot ove work for noting lol der a scrou on top too luck the diff
Why lock them?
For better traction. Four wheels driving is better than two. Ccheck out my first run video and you will see the difference
What steering mod did you do.
Here is the link to the steering modification video. Enjoy!! ruclips.net/video/wf8wawTNXo4/видео.html

@@RCMechanicGarage Fair enough, that makes more sense. Have fun!🤙🤙
