Sorry you can't induct Fleetwood Mac into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame without including Bob Welch, very talented singer, songwriter, guitar player and artist. He's the one who moved them to LA from Europe, where they ultimately hooked up with Buckingham and Nicks. Very important member and for a time leader of the band.

I hate to say this and I hope I’m wrong, but Bob Welch did Not considered his music as Rock. There’s this song called Bermuda Triangle live and He says “keep it mellow this ain’t rock n roll” but yet I considered most of his music to be a bit rock. Idk

Bobs guitar at the end is mind blowing! And to think this would have been one of his last gigs with the Mac before Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks showed up and history would be made when they showed up. This tune is off of the "Heroes Are Hard To Find" circa 1974. No Peter Green, Danny Kirwan on this record. Just Bob, the McVies and Mick Fleetwood. Great album. Definitely under appreciated given it was over shadowed by the Buckingham/Nicks era of albums that came after the Heroes release.

I’ll duck from the rocks. This band’s best music came out during the “lost” years. Bob Welch held this group together and brought them to California. Then he quit, later having a few solo hits. And Stevie Stevie Stevie. Yes Stevie was very cute in ‘76/77 but Chris trumped her in sexiness hanging out and playing some tasty piano.

Saw this tour in 1974 in OKC. And as has been said in other comments this was the real Fleetwood Mac . They were creative, both in the music and the lyrics. They had their own style. But Welch got kicked to the curve and the other three went for the money and the top 40 scene. It's a mystery to me that hero's are hard to find in the bare tree's while playing Future Games. Thanks everyone.

There is, however, a very similar broadcast that was filmed or videotaped .. they recorded three broadcasts at the record plant with slightly different setlists, and one at Ultrasonic studios, The KSAN Dec 15th broadcast was not filmed, correct, but several of the others were, and at least one of the Record plant ones has a complete film in existence (not the one used for video dubbing here).
THe audio used here is from the infamous "Will the real Fleetwood Mac Please stand up" broadcast, and possibly one of the earliest vinyl bootlegs available.. at least , the earliest I ever bought. Unfortunately, I let it go and spent years trying to find another copy. Until the internet nd bootleg sites popped up, and I found that this obscure little bootleg I had been searching for was one of the most well known FM boot of them all. and if I had remembered the LP title on these trading networks (I'm talking back of magazine trading groups - there was no web and the internet was still basically the province of the military and the large universities) I could have found another copy easily!

(By the time of the Record Plant show, which was Bob Welch's last, Bobby Hunt was playing the auxiliary keyboards.)
This song was cut from the broadcast, as Kirshner's introduction of the band was inserted between the opening "The Green Manalishi" and "Spare Me a Little of Your Love" which came 3rd in the set.

Played as a continuous track "Angel" and "Coming home" on the studio Heroes are hard to find, beats this improv and poor timing hands down in my opine.

things that drive musicians crazy... slowing down the video during a song. The playing doesn't match the video...

Bob was my least favorite of all of fleetwood mac members. i liked him aside in his own band. but he obviously did not fit into the Lindsey/Stevie reformed Fleetwood mac. . Green, Irwin & Spencer & MF & JM & CM were a great group too, if only drugs had not taken over & ruined .
