Melting Lead and Making 12lb Downrigger Balls

Using my home made melting pot I can make a 12lb downrigger ball in one single pour. Now I can replace my 10lber's and get less blow back.
In the next fishing video these 12 pound balls helped me catch a nice 16lb Chinook. Video coming soon.

What size eyelets do you use for 8-10-12lb balls? Mold manufacturers don’t seem to state that info

Nice job fabricating the lead pouring device.
I purchased a 15# mold and was wondering how i was going to heat/pour 15#
If you don't mind me asking, what are the dimensions of the pipe. And will that hold enough lead to pour the 15#.

Thanks. it is 8" x 3" OD pipe. holds just a bit more than 15lbs.
