My father had much the same experience with the Loire and it's wine, during his visits to France. He still talks about it and enjoys a good Vouvray or any Cab Franc to this day, about 45 years later Seeing this and how it's had a mirror effect with you was pretty special. Two thumbs way up!
As a French, I must say you are doing the greatest work on RUclips when it comes to wine region's discovering videos!! Thank you very much for showing the diversity of terroirs and the talent of our winemakers who face so much challenges nowadays.. You should be paid by the government lol!! Many thanks again, really appreciate this video, and the Burgundy one also!!
It’s almost seems like this episode was created somewhere very close to your heart, beyond the love for wine and food, is the love for people we share those with. This is definitely my favourite wine series on RUclips. Salud! 🍷
This was an absolutely stunning episode! First and foremost, you spent time in a wonderful region with your wife. That by itself can make any travel or visit a blessing. Second: Loire!!! Seeing the views and landscapes and getting to know more about a region with so much history but less nobility (at least to some people) with so many offerings in wine makes me wonder why Loire isn’t in the same level as Bordeaux or Burgundy? Let’s get our hands and arms full of those beautiful wines! Vince, you rule!
If any of you reading this is planning a trip to the Loire Valley and is in need of a guide, I'm your guy. I know my region like my pocket and I am very knowledgeable about culture, food and history. And it's always a pleasure to share it with people that want to discover !
This was a wonderful episode!! I especially loved the scenes with you and Lisa - so sweet! I learned so much too - really enjoyed seeing how different Cab Franc can taste depending on the soil. Btw, Rick is now researching river cruises on the Loire. 😂 Thanks for another great episode!!
I don't know how you could present the regions better than with your style. Thank you very much for this passionate and detailed video. ❤ I'm just afraid that the bed and restaurant prices will rise in the near future!
Last summer we had the choice between Rhone or Loire for holiday. the choice went to Rhone (also a great episode by the way!). After seeing this episode I know where next years holiday will be! Also, I was in a wine shop in the Rhone and they recommended me a Lieubeau cru muscadet. So it feels a bit full circle now 😄I still have to try it though. Oh and I really enjoyed how personal this episode is to you. It came across really well and made the episode even better!
Great intro to Loire. It was a really sweet touch to introduce your wife and partner in this way. Maybe you two will continue to explore? She as an avatar to an audience? Anyway, well done and thank you very much for sharing all of your information!🎉❤ 🍷
My name doesn’t show up at the end of the show. Between your videos the books I have read and the wine bible I’m reading reinforces my love and education for wine. Kudos to your team!
Thanks so much! And sorry about the credits! Are you a Platinum level VIP member? If so, please email me so we can get this resolved. (If you just joined in the last few weeks, you wouldn't be in this episodes credits as we had already finished exporting the episode. But if you've been a Platinum member for some time, you should be there!)
Fantastic episode and the Loire is my favorite region in the world for wine. I agree with you that Muscadet may be the perfect companion for shellfish. If I am not having Muscadet with oysters, I'm usually having Albarino. I'm also all about those Chenins from Anjou and Montlouis-Sur-Loire
Loire is so underrated, which is perfect because theres plenty of it that is still affordable and excellent lmao My friends who are very casual wine enjoyers really loved the off-dry Vouvray i brought to a party.
I’d love to see a video documenting how you got into the wine world and how you were able to start v is for vino and get the opportunities you have done. Your channel has gotten me incredibly interested in wine and I’d love to see how you did it so maybe I could have some experiences like these as well. What do you lot think though ? 😁
Loire wines are my favorite also. Unfortunately, my one trip there we only got to visit one winery, Bouvet Ladubay. The one I really wanted to go to, Domaine Arnaud Lambert, was not available for tours when we’re in the area.
i feel exactly the same about if i had to pick one region , it would be teh loire, i guess if i had to pick one reason over the many, it is the aromatics. this video made me cry many times, , in a good way. merci beaucoup
Hey Vince! I Would love to share my experience watching this video. So, im a bit short on time & was skimming through, to when I found you with the lady after fishing (cerca 53:00) And then, just listening to your interaction about "whether or not you caught this fish, & if you deserve credit" I thought to myself - "wow.. they have a good chemistry. Is she a wine maker / vinyard owner that he's hitting it off with? Dont know. Maybe. I wonder if he has a partner ... " etc etc Anyway, of course then I watched it back proper and learned it was your partner! I share this to highlight the, sort of.. 'natural' relaxed, comfortable chemistry that you two have, and I hope you take this as a compliment. I once had a moment like this with my partner in an Airport, where the staff asked us if we were a couple.. and we we're like, yeah why? And she said "You just look like a couple, as in, you look like a match" Sometimes these are lifes moments and thought Id share :) Im a racing driver coach and my partner supports me in my work the same as I can see yours does with you :)
Wines that are under $25 and can be found everywhere? I'll go first.. Marques De Riscal reserva.. An amazing, historic wine, that somehow manages to be classically bold like a rioja should be,yet restrained as well. Can often be found in supermarkets. Your turn..
Our episodes actually focus pretty highly on the importance of place: each episode is a new region, and we focus on what makes that region and it’s terroir and traditions unique.
First Burgundy and then a few days later Loire? You are spoiling us
Christmas comes early this year! haha
My father had much the same experience with the Loire and it's wine, during his visits to France.

I love to hear this! As said in the episode, it’s really a region you can take with you all your life!
Thank you!! That means a lot coming from a local. You have a wonderful country!
I'm french too and I agree with you !
The best episode yet......long live Loire.......wine for the people
long live Loire!!
It’s almost seems like this episode was created somewhere very close to your heart, beyond the love for wine and food, is the love for people we share those with.
This is definitely my favourite wine series on RUclips.

Thanks Johnny! I agree, I've been spreading the Loire gospel for years!!!
Love seeing Lisa with you in this episode 🥰
For sure, loved having her!
End this episode on the banks of the Loire opposite the Château d'Amboise. Magnifique.
Thank you! I love that shot of us on the bikes in front of it.
What an incredible episode!!!, love the Loire Valley and Tours is amazing, love that city. Thanks V is for Vino for taking me back there. Cheers!
Tours was awesome, wish we had more time there!
If any of you reading this is planning a trip to the Loire Valley and is in need of a guide, I'm your guy. I know my region like my pocket and I am very knowledgeable about culture, food and history. And it's always a pleasure to share it with people that want to discover !
I think I have to visit the Loire Valley after watching this!
Great episode. What a beautiful couple you and Lisa are. thank you!
Thank you, Lisa is the best, I'm lucky to have her!
This is a great video, that can stand on its own on any travel channel. Production quality is superb. And so is the content.
Thank you!!!
lovely episode, thank you so much Vince

Haha yes!! A River cruise there would be great. Thanks for the kind words, it was a special one having Lisa involved!
Just beautiful stuff, with great winemakers/hosts. Congrats on another one. I recommend your stuff to everyone I know.
You're the best, thanks for spreading the word!
Très belle présentation des richesses dont recèle notre Vallée de la Loire 😘
Merci!!!
My birthday was on December 14th and the Burgundy and Loire episodes was a special gift from V is from vino. ❤
Happy belated birthday fellow December baby.
haha perfect timing! Haappy bday!
Great video Vince! Brought back lots of great memories when I got to visit Tours, Vouvray, Chinon and Champalou back in 2015-16. Thanks
Nice, glad you got to visit too!
Loved (re)discovering those areas, AOP and food places through your eyes!
Thanks for coming along for the ride!
Love it. Great video…as always. I would kill for your wine knowledge.
I'm giving it away for free! haha
Maravilloso trabajo el que haces, bravoooo

Great episode (as always), the Loire is also my favorite wine region, somewhat underrated outside France
Agreed!
Loire Valley Cabernet Franc is beauty and elegance in a glas
👏👏
Fantastic!

Thanks! I’ve done some Q&As on our channel, but not so much a dedicated video to it; I will consider it for sure!
Love the Ferris Bueller's Day Off art scene. Zoom!
Yes!! I knew some people would understand the reference 💪
I love the bond movie where Sean Connery recognized the Soviet spy when he ordered red with fish....
haha that's awesome
Weil some fish goes well with red wine actually. But Bond is always right anyways.
V you need to go to Vitiloire, if you have the opportunity to. Great work 😊
Beautiful region as other parts of France,Nantes where i was born and now im in the other side in Metz Moselle . Good job !
Thank you!
N i c e l y d o n e ! 🍷 🇫🇷

@ I think we’re all showing our age 😄
So Loire gave us amazing wines, castles, AND sustainability? Can we talk about how ahead of its time this place is? 🌱🍷
Totally

anglo saxons are still talking wines by grapes, its such stupid, as comparing oranges and apples ! sad world

Love the episode, Vince … but do you mean troglodyte… and not trogdylite?
Yes...yes I do 😂
This was another amazing episode! Can't wait to try a few bottles 🩷
Thank you, yes, grab some Loire wine ASAP!
