Thanks everyone for watching! Please leave a comment, I love to hear what you all think of our episodes! And as a reminder, all the wines and locations visited are listed on our website, www.visforvino.com/languedoc-roussillon
Nice video but resuming Languedoc-Rousillon to Gerard Bertrand's wines is rather disappointing. There are so many very good small wine producers in this region that would deserve more publicity.
You offer so much to vine enthusiasts and future sommeliers with your videos. Thank you for making each video enjoyable to watch! Your efforts are helping more people develop a love for wine and encouraging them to learn more. Keep up the great work!
It's a great region for holiday and even a better one if you're into wine. Nice interview with the king of Corbières and La Clape, but who has a finger in many appellations in the Languedoc-Roussillon. Clever businessman he is. I prefer some area's, like Terrasses du Larzac where great things are happening and Limoux for whites.
Hi Vince - follower from down under here. I love your shows and the warmth and respect you show to all people. I learn a lot about wines and regions and places I would love to visit if the opportunity arises. I appreciate the diversity you normally explore, with a mix of smaller labels as well as more recognised brands. I also love the range of foods you highlight too. This episode felt different to your other shows in that it focused solely on one winemaker. With such a big region and a large range of winemakers and styles, I missed the variety that is surely on offer. I recognise how expensive to must be to produce such a high standard show on a limited budget but as the show progressed I became a little uncomfortable as it began to feel more like a promo for Gerard Bertrand. The super, high-end accommodation and 7-course meal would be out of the range of most viewers. I'll hunt down the cassoulet if I get the chance and I would love to try some of Bertrand's wines but I will get out and dip my toe in a lot more experiences on offer in such a beautiful region. I look forward to you next episode. Good luck in all you do and thank you for your work.
I think this is my favorite of all the regional videos you’ve done. Extremely enjoyable to watch, great editing, beautiful scenes and what an amazing family. I have many wines from the region in my cellar including some VDNs(including rancio versions), of which, while they are all beautiful, my 75 Maury from Thunevin-Calvet is a stunner. You’ve certainly peaked my interest for an extended trip there. Cheers.
Wow, thank you!! I had fun in this one too. Sometimes I enjoy diving deep into a story, like in this episode, or Piedmont episode, or Provence. I'm happy you enjoyed it. Hope to go back again for a part two episode!
Amazing! Great episode and so happy you came to my neck of the woods! Once again think you should be on one of the streaming platforms. Best series since No reservations. Understand you had time constraints. But there are so many small interesting wine producers around Narbonne. Keep up the great work!
Can’t get enough of these documentaries especially European episodes that makes one want to go and enjoy the wines and regions. AMAZING video. Thank you. Great camerawork and as always you are a great story teller.
The wait is practically killing me…I am so excited for this episode of an underexplored region of France. Can you hop to the Loire and Brittany (I know this isn’t a real wine region…just want to see your filmmaking about food and drink) regions someday, pretty please❤ Gonna add - Jura region😬
What a fantastic video, I've had the opportunity of having GB's wines on my lists for a while, but this is the first time I learn so much about their winemaking processes and their story. You guys are fantastic!
Cracking episode Vince! I have been to the Languedoc many times and recommended Gerard Bertrand to you a few months back so really happy you visited him. I hope to get down there later this year so thanks for tips!
Love love love!!! Amazing show, thank you for the work and passion you all put in, to tell this story and bring the show together. . Gerard, his daughter, and their philosophies - a vision executed to perfection, we need more of these wonderful people on our beautiful planet. Thanks so much for the work you do, and for the eye opening journey to this beautiful region, I can't wait to visit it myself!
This video is some of the best wine-content out there on RUclips. Continue doing what you're doing, Vince. This channel is without a doubt going to blow up!
Love your videos! Helped me a lot with my wine exams. At my workplace we sell a whole bunch of Gerard Betrands wines and I absolutely love them. Awesome to learn some more about the area and the wines!
That makes me so happy, because that's why i started the channel: I wanted to help people learn and get through those exams or get that promotion. I know, because I was in the same spot once upon a time; so glad we could help!
Great episode Vince!. Quite educational for sure. You've convinced me to give Languedoc-Roussillon a try. Looked you had a great time filming this one. Looking forward to the next one. Keep up the great work V! Salud!
I really enjoyed this video. Will try to pick up some of Bertrand's wines. We have had the Cotes de Roses and it is fantastic. I was the US business manager for a French company based in Toulouse back in the early 2000's. Travelled there a lot and tried cassoulet at many restaurants in town, each night sampling a different cassoulet. Loved the Victor Hugo market in Toulouse as well. You are correct about the markets in France. I need to return to that region!
You have taken this episode to another league with such passionate viticulturists.... wow! I must visit this region during my next visit! Truly amazing!
A brilliant episode Vince and team. Reminds me why I love wine and inspires me to continue to travel, taste and discover. Wine (and food) is life- the most worthy preoccupation. Gérard's character produces deep feelings in me. Do I quit what I do and crawl to Languedoc? Do I go about setting up the best winery ever in my nearest wine region? Or just open a wine bar showing the worlds best wines I can get my hands on? Or, keep working and living vicariously through Vince while buying the best wines I can afford..? Brilliant problems to ponder over a glass of fine... Stunning stuff as always my guy. Thank you!
Very Nice Video … just a Bit sad that you only talked about Gerard Bertrand and didn‘t mention other wine makers Like in the other Videos! Maybe think of a Part two? Including wineries Like La Grange des Pères, Mas des Armes or smaller domaines Like MAISON Ventenac
Thank you for this great video! One of the best wine related videos I have ever seen. Thank you for interviewing Gerard. He is the Georges Duboef of languedoc and deserves even more recognition.
THIS was amazing!! So much to learn and especially enjoyed the segment on Gerard Bertrand; a brand I have enjoyed & now even more so having learned more about the region, production & vintner(s)!! Curiously, I even took notes, LOL!! The bread boutique looked like it was well worth the “hunt”! Film editing is tremendous; really get a feel for the (beautiful) areas plus, the rapport with the vintners is one of mutual respect and candor-well done.
wow..just wow. i love every minute of this episode. the moon room course..that was magical. Gonna go check if they have Gerard Bertrand wines available in Japan! Thank you so much for this episode!
He didn't mention how the bakery towards the beginning of the video grinds all it's own flour using the actual restored windmill! Can confirm it is some of the best bread you'll ever taste. it is in Cucugnan
such good productions with fun informative contents... Love to see Emma 's family legacy and she inherited the knowledge and skills to continue its heritage. subscribed.
Well, I've saved this video because I'm moving from Los Angeles to Montpellier in August, 2024, I'll be right in the middle of the action... Found you while searching for wineries near Montpellier as I am a huge wine fan. Thanks for the thorough video.
That's great. The Languedoc-Roussillon is a confusing region, and it's nice to get a map and some tips. All of those Bertrand wines are available here.
Yes, as I mentioned in that one segment, the "branding" of the region is a bit funny, and can make it a bit confusing. But hopefully they'll all get on the same page moving forward.

Any doubts about it, please talk to me, I’ll gladly help you with the schedule.
Spectacular - love how you capture the essence of each region you visit - the people, place, wine and food! Every episode, I can’t wait to go visit where you’ve been!! 🍷🍇🥖🧀 🥰
Absolute love this video! We passed through Narbonne last September and I wish we had watched this video beforehand. I learned so much. Btw did you go to the famous buffet in Narbonne? Anyway keep up the great videos coming! Merci!!

I love these episodes
For the love of wine, could you please learn to speak at least some French !
Vince, you are good. I love how you and your team create the maps and the history illustrations
Thank you for noticing! The graphics take SO much time haha but it's worth it if it helps people learn!
Simply wonderful. The storytelling, camera work and presentation of a so called sleeper region was nothing short of amazing.
Thanks! My crew is awesome, they really do a great job filming and region and helping me do it justice!
You always so genuinely honor the people behind the wine, Vince. I love that so much.
Thanks JP!
I was especially happy when your host mentioned the 8000-year-old Georgian tradition of wine making. Another wonderful episode. thank you very much.
I really hope to get to Georgia someday soon!
Vis for vino would be fantastic in Georgia. I do not doubt.
