I'm passionate about IT. I got into the US being a dish washer and now I manage the technological infrastructure of a few buildings... I get paid ok , but I will get paid more when I move to another company and get a better position through experience and education. By keeping my same lifestyle and making more money, I can invest the difference or anything I have left over.

If you passionate about anything than efforts are irrelevant, by default efforts is part of passion. Example I love fly fishing and a guy said to me why are you working so hard to catch one fish instead of using a spinning reel system so may catch lot more fish with little effort? He is concerned about my efforts but to me I am not even aware of the efforts as a matter of fact I love the whole process of catching that single fish by planning the fishing destination, making my flies, reading the waters and fish behaviors. To me the whole journey is a pleasure, there for my passion., what people sees as hard work to me is effortless cause I love what I am doing 😂

I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking of this because when I'm soo passionate about my music, things turn into hard work. I was tired of making things that I wanted so I started to do things that what consumers want. That turns into hard work, discipline, and strategy. I don't know why people nowadays don't simply want us to give the hard truth on what reality is. We have to do things on what we don't like. Otherwise, we won't grow. Always pursue the one skill to practice and keep doing it no mater how boring it is. We must also strategize consistently to get better results. Passion should definitely be removed from the dictionary and rather not be taught in lectures from schools and other influencers. If I'm going to be honest. Most of these gurus like to use that excuse to keep our toes up and rely certain words on what they say to keep having clicks on RUclips.

Music, and more specifically, making music, has always undoubtedly been a passion of mine. It feels like making music as a full time job would be the only way i could truly be happy in life and wake up excited for the day. I've been dedicated to my craft and have been consistently improving my skills for almost a decade. I've sacrificed immensely to have time to do that. Often neglecting my personal needs and essentially being a recluse with no friends focusing as much energy as i possibly could into it. Although, fame and fortune has never been the goal. I see money as more of a byproduct of achieving my goals. If i focus on making good music that people will enjoy and can relate to, the money will follow. But if money was my goal, i would be too focused and that, and probably wouldn't make good or relatable music which would cause me to make little to no money. I've always said that chasing money will leave you broke, but chasing excellence is bound to bring you riches. I have no plan on stopping until the day i die and I can say with 100% certainty that i will do what I set out to do. Because the only way you can truly fail, is if you give up. Otherwise you will just encounter obstacles that will make you stronger and more equipped as you overcome each one. Growth is always a success. I take it one day at a time and only focus on what i can do right now in this moment to improve. And that philosophy has led me to consistent growth. Great video! Just thought I'd share my thoughts on it.

The importance of passion - or whatever you call it - is this: Starting up a business is extremely hard and requires a lot of dedication and sacrifice. So if you don't have "passion" for what your business is about, it is very unlikely you will be able to persist through the difficulties. For instance, I have passion for natural products and tea, and that's the reason I have been able to develop and hold up my tea business for such a long time - whereas if the business had been about something that I have absolutely not much interest in - say, car tyres or women's beauty products - then I would probably not have persisted.

I totally agree with this. Never follow your passion if you want a living wage, especially if it's creative. On the other hand, don't we all have the right to be reasonably happy at work? I used my passion to escape 17 years in miserable office work and toxic co workers. I'm poorer but happier but I could really use the money so I'm considering my back to work options after 11 years self employed. The last few years have been tough. :/

I think you have made a huge generalization regarding passion
Although some passions are just a temporary spark that fades away quickly and consequently is unreliable to drive a durable success
But there are some passions that pass the test of time and can give your bussiness more longevity and make it more fun
So you can search for these passions and let them direct your life

I'd argue that "win/win" is what you should strive for in business or just don't do business at all with whomever. Compromise strikes me as lose/lose but tries to save face by minimizing loss.
For instance, I'm not going to compromise with people who share the same views as Jazz Jennings parents. To do so wouldn't just be an undermining of my principles, it would be the complete loss of them by abandonment.

The thing about manifestation is... if your too shallow in your understanding of it, you will have mediocre results for what you want. Most people are manifesting by default, with a lot of limiting beliefs, programmings, and other unhelpful perspectives that hold back those desires you want to manifest. Like an invisible foot on your brake pedal, hidden in your inner blind spot. Hit the gas as hard as you want with effort, but a foot on the gas, no matter how hard you press, still leads to burnouts in the parking lot with a foot on the brakes, not truly getting anywhere down the road. A guru course won't teach you how to manifest, as words don't teach. Experiencing manifesting does teach, but you have to be selfaware enough to see the subtleties, and practice manifestation deliberately, to truly get anywhere with it. There's a lot more to it, just another skill that you can learn along the way to becoming wealthy

You are viewing #2 completely wrong
Where you are right is the fact that 99% of people don't understand or properly apply visualization/manifestation/affirmations in the way that DOES benefit an individual. I always coin it like this, does your thoughts have a direct impact on your actions in life, and therefore the life you create? And most would say yes. If so, would you not want to fill your head with more positive thoughts than negative thoughts? Wouldn't you want to reprogram your subconscious mind to benefit positive thinking as a majority in your life? And let's not fall into the delusional trap either, as it's easy to fall into extremes in any scenario (as was the case you have given to justify your #2 claim).
I have nothing to sell in regards to #2 but when the very Creator of our existence made a book called the Bible that mentions #2 in many parts of the New and Old Testament, maybe there IS a way we can utilize it without falling into traps as the one you've stated.
Here is how #2 changed my life:
    1) When I realized it is only a catalyst for the hard and smart work I am already doing.
    2) When I realized it can begin altering my actions to produce more positive results.
(and with anything that compounds in life, a slight change now is a big accumulative change in hindsight)
    3) When you don't depend on it as an end-all-be-all solution for your problems and realize this may be that first and last 10% you need to get going or to break through in life. Basically, it's an edge against your competitors.
    4) When you realize you don't have to SPEND A DIME to, 1) get and 2) utilize #2 fully in your life. So yes, NEVER spend a dime on those Guru's who sell you courses.
    5) When you don't have to spend a SECOND of your waking day in order to apply this and get the most results. I still have my waking hours to my own devices and utilize #2 during my sleep.
