While the files are a great find, I have to admit that I'm much more impressed with the editing work you folks have done to them. Taking a bunch of random files on the hard disk (and elsewhere) and turning them into what could have been an awesome trailer for the game is truly impressive. If only they had you leading the team back in the day, maybe the games future would have been different.

Seeing these unfinished and abandoned games makes me somewhat sad. As a software developer, I do know how much heart and soul developers have probably put into these projects just for their work to be thrown away and forgotten.
But making games is a business and unfortunately if the project no longer makes financial sense to release, it gets thrown away. Some projects do get a second chance (like True Crime: Hong Kong which was fully completed when it was cancelled by the publisher. Another publisher eventually published the game as Sleeping Dogs) but many simply get thrown away and forgotten.

The linked kultcds.com page is by myself and shortly after posting about it originally I found out that abandonware.org had documented the demo 2 years before me (which seems to have gone pretty unnoticed). Had tons of MIDI+SBK files from this soundtrack, and eventually bought the CD (since there was no way I could compete with his high-end synths at the time). I hadn't really ever thought of the game itself, it was always about the music. But man, this has a Secret of Mana meets Phantasy Star vibe to it that makes me long for the days where it would have been possible for this to come out.
