I’m sick of seeing 3 flags, sick of recognising the land owners and sick of welcoming ceremonies and so is 99% of Aussies but everyone is to scared to say anything

This is the reason why I rather listen to the actual Aboriginal Elders, NOT someone who claims they have aboriginal blood. Listening to the many different Elders of these Aboriginal groups is the highest form of respect you can give to them, however ignoring their views and only listen to activists who claim to be aboriginal is a grave insult to the genuine people.
There are no journalists anymore, especially investigative journalism, in the MSM. There is only presenters, presenting a compiled story put out to all to be broadcast, all to scared to actually report the truth, good or bad, of a story.

Using the description " is an aboriginal scholar" presents an ambiguous expression. It can mean that he is an aboriginee and a scholar or it can mean that he is a scholar in relation to aboriginal history but not necessarily of aboriginal descent. Ambiguous terminology seems to serve the cause well!
If you aren't a full blood then you are not an Aboriginal, you merely have Aboriginal heritage. Like Langton, Mayo, Thorpe et al must admit that they have as much European heritage as Aboriginal heritage and as such they must acknowledge that their ancestors stole this land from their ancestors.

We should all be called 'Australian' and not 'Indigenous' and 'non Indigenous'. We must also say NO to wealthy Aboriginal people being eligible for government programs targeting Aboriginal people. The majority are not in need and it means a smaller piece of the pie for those who are. Going further, no special programs for Aboriginal people - only 'disadvantaged' people, black or white.
Geebee makes a critically important point. If a family is destitute and needs financial assistance, they should get help regardless of their ethnicity, physical appearance, or claimed ancestry.

And we should be surprised? People are so ignorant. If you did a census right now you would find something like a 3 fold increase in the number of ‘Aboriginal’ people in this country. The whole indigenous thing is a complete crock and the sooner everyone wakes up to that, the better we will all be. We should all regard ourselves as ‘Australians’. As soon as you tell someone that they are different, the next stage is that they regard themselves as ‘entitled’ to something because they are told they are different.
We should all tick the indigenous box. They aren’t allowed to ask you to prove it! Maybe then they will start funding need instead of race and see some change.
Australia Day shouldn’t be cancelled,
The date should be changed tho, so that ALL Australians can celebrate their country with dignity.
We shouldn’t be celebrating our country on the anniversary date of the English coming here, raising their flag and starting 200+ years of dispossession.
January 26th is clearly not the right date for Australia Day; because not all Aussies can celebrate together.
And it’s clear that all the people who want the date we celebrate our country to be changed are the 4 out of 10 Australians that have daily contact with Indigenous-Australians, who have respect and good relations with Indigenous-Australia.
It’s a shame that the vast majority of Aussies have no contact with Aboriginal people, therefore do not understand or value their input in their own country.
The Change the Date crowd are the most patriotic of Australians and love Australia, and want respect and dignity for all Australians.
January 26th is not a date we can all celebrate together, it’s the date that commemorates when the English came here started to disposess and disrespect Aboriginal people and culture,
it’s the start date of 200+ years of murder, forced assimilation, slavery, marginalisation, oppression and Grape.
It’s not even the date Australia was founded as a country, nor was it the date captain cook discovered Australia.
January 26th is not a date all Aussies can celebrate, so it should not be the date we celebrate on.
Sure maybe we should call January 26th colonisation day or something of that sort,
but it’s shouldn’t be Australia Day, and it’s incentive, exclusive and immoral to celebrate our country on a date that it’s commemorative of a negative history for a portion of our populous.
Change the date we celebrate Australia Day for a better more unified country. ☮️✌️

This is why people who should be getting the funding, housing benefits etc should be 50 -100% indigenous.

The Aboriginal Broadcasting Commission has shown its true colours. Now are the Australian people going to demand the government defund it ?
This is the reason why I rather listen to the actual Aboriginal Elders, NOT someone who claims they have aboriginal blood.
Listening to the many different Elders of these Aboriginal groups is the highest form of respect you can give to them, however ignoring their views and only listen to activists who claim to be aboriginal is a grave insult to the genuine people.

There are no journalists anymore, especially investigative journalism, in the MSM. There is only presenters, presenting a compiled story put out to all to be broadcast, all to scared to actually report the truth, good or bad, of a story.

Thats a whole new conversation the differences between what you are entitled to under Austudy versus Abstudy was astounding and not equal at all to non-Aboriginals.
