Both effects on the gate and on the demon lords are mandatory. So if the gate deletes a creepymon the player must tuck 2 sources under the gate, even if it’s 2 of the same name.
It just makes the deck play a bit different, with your wincon not being Ogudo and turning off digivolving. I don’t know if it makes it worse, I haven’t tested enough for that information.
You essentially just end up playing mega zoo and dropping your cards for reduced cost. You lose out on your digivolving effects but you can keep your digimon

i may be wrong but i think sleep mode is imune to enemy effects, therefore, it shouldnt go to the bottom of the deck.
