I am training my 9 yr old daughter and 5 yr old son in my basement, so space is an issue. I will be using these drills to coach them. Thank you very much for the drills
Very helpful, and doable almost anywhere, as you point out. For me, these drills are like practicing scales on a musical instrument. If I do them slowly and carefully at first, speed and dexterity will follow. As a much older adult, I'm relearning the fine points of balance with the tap drills, and for this alone, I thank you. It's terrific!
Matt, be very proud of yourself. over the past three weeks i've been using your drills day in, day out doing training everyday to improve my game..In this small amount of time i got scouted for a development centre. i've got so much better on the ball and distributing and im showing flashes of quality :) you made me realise that i CAN make it. keep it up !!
Django Unrivaled yes, I used the 5 different dribbling drills videos, I copied some of his chest, legs and arm workouts and I watched videos from some guy called Dylan Tooby and another Ytuber called the fifatrainer or something
I am going to be 27 after 6/7 days. I was really good when I was 22, but have been pushing myself to be back. I guess the beauty of this drill is that, you may not able to do all of them perfectly but in matches it will give you some really good confidence. Our football ground is flooded but I have been playing futsal with a time and have a game tomorrow. I did some drills from here, now the plan is to master all of these.
Same bro, I played consistently until 22-23 and then stopped for a few years cause I have no friends/team to play with anymore. Am 27 now, looking to get back into it!
I live in Alaska and for 6-8 months of the year our fields are buried under feet of snow. Thanks for showing me lots and lots of ideas of how to train indoors! (I've seen other videos on this channel for it as well.)
I share this video weekly. It is awesome. I'm having both my kids and my girls team (U11) do it. So very important for foot skills development. Great stuff. Keep it up!
Your drills are awesome thank you! I just wish for 13. spinning cryuff and 14. reverse spinning cryuff you had left a longer segment of video of you doing the demonstration for us to look at, because they are really hard to break down. I had to watch it in a loop a bunch of times, and then practice using a square of paper instead of the ball to slow the movements down. Thanks again these are perfect during covid!
This is great video I don't have a lot of space cuz my basement is full and I'm grounded from using my living room because I broke stuff and this is a really good video for kids who need inspiration to practice in a little space it's hard I get it. Especially for a C1 player in the winter when the roads or any space outside is frozen I face this problem and you gave me a solution ( any one else a C1 player in Minnesota)
@Become Elite- Thank you so you so much for everything you have done. You know I practically live right by you, I live in Branson Missouri. I hope to see a game some time.
I did the whole thing. The hardest one for me was the Reverse Spinning Cruyff, but I keep doing it and just slowed that one down a little. Before doing this exercise I was outside for at least 5 hours working on juggling and settling off a wall with a tennis ball then after 2 hours and 30 minutes switch to a regular ball. It seemed so easy after using the tennis ball. I encourage everyone to use a tennis ball.
I thought he was on ice at first for some reason? never mind that, thank you sooo much! I have tryouts this fall and I haven't played in 2 years and I forgot what it is like. I used to have fun but I quit because the people on my team were jerks and the coach picked favorites. I missed playing but now that I'm at a new school I want to start playing all over again. My grades would even stay high while I was playing for some reason but when I stopped my grades started dropping slightly. So yeah again thank you!
I do this workout almost everyday during the summer and in my basement during the winter. I find dribbling drills very helpful and hope you come out with more.
You want me to tell you what I think ? You're AWESOME! It's good to find someone who's on the same route on the game as I am. And Congrats on your pro contract. See you at the top, buddy. God bless. Keep the videos coming though.
Man..Matt... I know I won't ever be pro-footballer, but for a guy who just loves to play the game, you make a brother feel like I can not only be a better player, but makes me start dreaming over being ever semi-pro lol! Blessings Bredda
Don't use the name of God in vain is a braking of 1 of the 10 commandments . Jesus loved you that he died so you have eternal life because he wants you to go heaven because he loves you. Repent of your sins and accept Jesus because he loves you and he is coming back to judge the world and i dont want you to go hell
I started doing it and it was good. But I got injured on my weekend game and couldn't play for 2-3 months and am only starting to recover. Thanks for the reminder. i'm going to restart again.
I've only been doing it once a week but my fitness and skills have increased sooooo much! I did some training with friends in the weekends and they were so tired. While they were taking drinks breaks, I was still going. We had a cone drill and I did it about twice as fast as them. My ability to move in small places has really improved. For example, I was involved in a tackle with one player, I won the ball off him, got around him beat the next defender and took a first time shot into the far corner and scored. That was about 5 touches.
Thanks for your videos. Do you have any recommendations for drills for juniors, who are eager to learn and become more technical, but who are still in the beginning of the learning curve?
Hi Matt, as another commenter suggested, I'd really appreciate a video on stretching exercises, static and dynamic ones. I have a particular problem with my left hamstring which I have severely injured in the past (about 1 year ago, I was running a lot in a match, and felt a slight pop - foolishly I continued to run and after a burst forward I felt a quick tearing sound and literally all movement went in that leg --> fast forward 3 months, it felt like it was back to normal, I made a crap stand tackle when I should have slid and it pulled again and suddenly all movement lost). Now it's been about a year on, and I thought it was totally gone, but recently I've felt it swell a bit and get a bit tender in comparison to my right which is fine. I do stretches before every game, but I'd appreciate more advice on different stretches, how long to hold it for, how often to do it, etc, especially for people who've had a past injury in a particular area. I know this is pretty complex but if it's too much just a general stretching video would be appreciated. Thanks.
Thanks Matt, perfect workout for any type of player! Today I did a 40 minute body workout with the Nike Training App then I did your workout, after that I ran a couple miles. Hope you read this! Reply please!!!!!
Thank you for the video helped a lot! I did this for an hour after I watched it. I have been training hard and hope one day a can make my dream come true. Do you think I can?
I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BALL MASTERY AND FOOTWORK ARE MY FAVORITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A couple days ago I decided go back to soccer after 1.5 years of not playing. I started training again ; I haven't really lost my touch that much. In 32 days I am going to be in a position to try out for a National Premiere League team for my old club. And I would like to be offered a scholarship this summer. Before I left that club I was a top player and everyone is going to expect me to be the same as well as myself. Will your videos help me get back to where I need to be in that time span if I do them relentlessly?
I'm having trouble with the cruyff turns but getting better thanks to your drills. What do u suggest for awareness and vision practice before receiving the ball?
Back here because of Coronavirus, what a brilliant workout!
Same here
For Real Tho same

I appreciate the snow. Trying to find drills for the kids to do while it melts.
@Become Elite- Thank you so you so much for everything you have done. You know I practically live right by you, I live in Branson Missouri. I hope to see a game some time.
I just did this drill and this got me very tired at the end I'm very surprised thank you Matt!!

Great workout to do at home during corona isolation. Missing proper football matches though.
I got through 2.5 Spinning Cryfts before I got dizzy and smashed into my refrigerator...

Indoor season for me starts in 30 days. Gonna do this full workout plus 1,000 juggles and also 500 left foot shots and see where it takes me !
Love finding new training videos I will definitely be using the drills after my injury heals.

+Odoom Baisie-Mensah Very welcome and yes, definitely. It's crazy how important these drills are to the real game. Very glad you recognize that!
