- Looking inside of the JBL TUNE600 wireless bluetooth headphones.
First starting out by removing the ear cushions. Then removing the three screws to remove the transducer together with the microphone for noise cancellation.
The left ear piece contains the battery. The right ear piece contains the main circuit board.

@ 1:45 that seal is for acoustic reasons. The driver is in a "sealed" chamber that's engineered to give the drivers a specific sound profile.
Its actually a vented enclosure, but yes the seal is to make sure none of the air gets into the rest of the headphone cups. Its for better bass response.

Many thanks ! On my headphones the right side was off, thx to show how to open it. It was just a wrong connexion with the small springs. I just had to pull them a little bit to fix the problem ;-)

My right speaker was mute. I just stretched two springs a bit and - vola! Now it works! Thanks a lot! Because of your video, I was able to figure out what was causing the problem.

What was the issue ? I have the same problem: right earphone stopped working.
Edit: nevermind, I opened mine. It seems it was just a contact problem on the springs.
Have you had any issues with the raise and lower buttons sticking after continued use?

Hey man do you know the size of the original battery? Im planning to replace it with a bigger capacity but i dont know the size of the battery room to fit it in there
I want to upgrade my battery, it only has 3 hours play time with anc on. Its only rated at 12 hrs max but these headphones have better sound than most of my other ones i need a compatible battery with more amp hours.. Which battery upgrade is good for these gems???
In my JBL Tune 600btnc the microphone works really bad. People couldn't understand my speech and it makes that mine ANC works also bad. Have anyone the same problem or know how to repair that ?
I dropped my headphones at gym about 50-60 cm height. Then it stopped working. When i try to turn on it blue light lights on then suddenly off and then noice cancelling’s white light turn on. Also there is no sound coming out from its speakers. If i press hold the power button it pairs w my phone. So what is wrong with it? Is there anyone who knows how to fix it?

My son had the same problem with his. No sound on the right side but the buttons all work. All he had to do was pop open the right side and the pop it back closed to get the right earphone working again. I suspect it is something about reseating the springs that connect the earphone itself.

On the main PCB board; what is that white connector socket on the back used for?

I could imagine that this used to be the debugging port during the development phase. What do you think?
@@MegaSafetyFirst Going from my experience in electronics, that port is probably for loading the firmware for the headphones during the assembly phase.
Would it be difficult to take out the electronics in one set of headphones and put them into a different band?
I’d think that would be difficult to do.

It could mean a LOT of things. But you won't know what until you open them up and look.

They're very similar in construction. They're a big improvement assembly wise compared to the Tune 450BT. Soldering is also much cleaner compared to the 450BT.

I would check the wiring between left and right side.
I’ve seen poor solder joints before, which are easy to fix.
@@MegaSafetyFirst hey man, i wish i came across your channel earlier. My right side stopped working on mine a few months back so i sent it back to the place i bought it from so they fixed it. After fixing it the right side would stop working suddenly while listening to music, i would tap on it and it would work again. Now it is completely dead again and I don't want to send it back cause they took a lot of time to fix it the first time. Any ideas on what the problem is?

The right side uses small springs pressing against copper pads the get the signal from the circuit board to the sound transducer. Clean the ends of both springs with a q-tip and denatured alcohol then VERY GENTLY stretch the springs just enough so they push against the copper pads a little bit harder.

You should do a tear down of the E45 and E55BT (E65BTNC are actually better constructed), the build quality of the E45 and E55BT is absolutely horrible, very sloppy wiring in the headband and hinges causing wire chafing and just a joke with regards to assembly techniques! The T450BT is also poorly made as well with lots of sloppy solder joints and even solder balls on the PCB! I've taken the new T500BT apart which are very similar in construction the these T600BTNC and they're much better constructed compared to the T450BT in terms of solder quality and component placement on the PCB. I seems like JBL a had major laps in judgement with the last generation and are maybe trying to fix their screw-ups.
If you look at the new Live 400 and 500BT you'll notice the materials used are better, particularly the hinges are a more durable material and the ear cups seem to have a better quality PU leather. I've also noticed overall fidelity to be cleaner compared to the E45 and E55.

Did you check the soldering joints of the wires for the left audio channel?
@@MegaSafetyFirst Yes, and all of the buttons and lights work just the speaker doesn't work so it must be that wire

Anyone ever struggled to pop it open? I tried everything but it doesn't work! 😅
I was afraid to pry too hard to open them up. But I used the blade of my pocket knife to wedge in where it 'should' open and then I twisted the knife blade and it popped open very nicely.
Can I apply this on my headphones that has got ants inside !!!!!

Thanks a lot bro. The headphone accidentally fell from my hands and it was not turning on but as soon as i opened it , the motherboard just got displaced and i placed it again correctly. Again thanks a lot bro 🫡
