Ares (dgar Ramrez) and Perseus (Sam Worthington) come to blows in a devastating battle, while Andromeda (Rosamund Pike) tries to lead her army against the Makhai.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The epic battle between the Titans and the gods continues in this sequel set ten years after the events in Clash of the Titans, as Perseus (Sam Worthington) descends into the underworld on a mission to rescue Zeus from the clutches of Hades (Ralph Fiennes), Ares (Edgar Ramirez), and Kronos. In the wake of his decisive victory against the Kraken, Perseus has retreated to a remote fishing village to raise his young son, Helius. Meanwhile, humanity has lost faith in the gods. As a result, Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon find their power beginning to slip, a development that could spell disaster for all of humankind should their imprisoned father, Kronos, manage to break free from his underworld prison in Tartarus. When Perseus learns that Zeus' son Ares has teamed with Hades and Kronos to capture Zeus, steal his power, and create hell on earth, the time comes to take action. 1:26 i love this scene. i like to think this is what the perfect form of a warrior would look like. 4, arms, 4 eyes, and a 360 degree view of the enemies around you, making it impossible to sneak an attack in.

The only thing about this…let’s just call it demon for now, is that long range weapons like spears and arrows can kill it much easier and quicker than a sword. That’s it’s only defect unless it uses one of those 4 arms wielding a shield too.
@@kevsdigitalartsmore3743 his skin is magma and stone, so this creature immune with arrow, and shield just make him slower. Very fast and deadly, you will see in begining, he go thought a spike barrel, just unstoppable. Even spear cannot kill him, just make he slower a bit
Love how Perseus went from being "just a man", (by his own choice), to being a full-on unkillable Demi-God who can brush off having his head slammed through a stone column, (several actually), then literally punched through a stone slab.
In the first movie he was a simple fisherman yet bested Draco in swordsmanship within seconds of learning how to fight. Still barely knowing how to fight he was able to damage Calibos. A godly enhance king. He showed absolutely no fear of anything from the get go. Draco even says “There is a god in you. Be sure to bring it.” He may have chose to live as one, as in not needing to have divine duties shoved on him, but make no mistake….he was most certainly not a man.

And that was the problem - the inconsistencies with just how powerful Perseus actually was. It was one of the major story-issues - one second he's a rag-doll, the next Demi-God.
I wish the Ares in Wonder Woman was more like this one

I thought it was a disguise but he never became ares he just was really lame, even the ares briefly shown in justice league would have been better, let's face it, zack writes great male characters and patty helped forge the best wonder woman in cinema thus far. It would have been better if diana and ares battled hand to hand combat versus random magical feats

When Perseus pulled the two daggers out from behind his back, I was happy they kept it in the film because he learned in from Draco in the first film, Clash of the Titans. This film and Clash of the Titans was very good! Some of my favorites. Thanks for uploading. ❤️

@@locomoco159 (Greek myth) Gods can be wounded by mortals, and since they experience pain so sparingly, they lose it when they bleed. Diomedes, a full mortal, wounded Ares to the point of making him run away to mama, and also wounded Aphrodite (also making her run to mama) and would have gone toe-to-toe with Apollo had Apollo not told him it was pointless to wound immortals. Perseus here, is a demigod. That already boosts his strength and endurance, unlike Diomedes who was just human, albeit trained well.
One thing I particularly like about this fight is it's not just a duel. It transitions through multiple different kinds of combat. Weapon fighting to grappling followed by a wrestling throw leading to a beatdown, with Ares showing proficiency with all of them.

@@Pedro-ux2de Well, Percy was named after Perseus. It's written in the _Sea of Monsters_ book that his mom named him Percy after the original Perseus, because he was the only hero in Greek Mythology who had a happy ending and hoped by sharing his name, he would share his luck.

Always finds these "half of thing vs full of thing" fights so interesting as they sometimes show the sociological and psychological aspects of how both parties see and feel to one another. It explores more of the world building in a way on how like factions of such fit in the world and what possible could happen if two factions collide with one another.

Perseus is only 35 years old. Ares is thousands of years old. If he had father abandonment issues it was happening long before Perseus showed.
It is true though Ares was Zeus least favorite child. Here is a ranking of all children of Zeus.
Herakles, Apollo, Artemis, Athene, Aphrodite, Hermes and Dionysus and Ares was his least favorite.
He even preferred Perseus over him.

But Zeus adored Hermes and Dionysus. Hermes in particular would go travelling with him a lot. They should definitely rank higher. Honestly for being the demi-god son of Zeus, Perseus looked kinda weak. In two movies, you never ever see him perform a decent strength feat, like knocking a foe off his feat with a super strong blow (either kick or punch), lift/toss/push heavy objects and so on. I mean Hercules portrayed by Kevin Sorbo in The Legendary Journeys tv series looked leagues stronger than this Perseus

Ares wasn’t the badass that most modern depictions set him up to be. In fact another demigod, Heracles, managed to beat him so badly that he punk’d out.

oh come on Perseus was off the battle field for 10 years and out of battle practice and his age caught up to him and he had a bad back . Also his wife died and he had to raise a kid . All those things happened in his life and he still stood up to Aries . Plus the beating Aries gave Perseus could've killed an ordinary person.
I bet if Perseus had kept up his battle training he would've been on par with Aries maybe even stronger.

Without war, the USA would be english territory. Or it would be divided between the Union and the Confederates.
Nazi Germany would control most of Europe and Spain would be Andalusian territory.
That's the best of the scenarios, of course. In the worst, the countries would break into anarchy, since no one would be willing to obey their rulers, who wouldn't be able to unite their people through force.
And we would be delayed in time, since new technologies are researched under the dangers of war and then adapted to the use of the common people.
