Nobody had more fun growing up than we did. 45 years ago was a great time to grow up. Then we had an even better time in the 90s when we were often the "barrons of the bars" as my dad would call us. 😂 We could go anywhere and were always welcomed. Mostly because of Steve. He was a great guy that no one ever had a bad word to say about him. RIP My Friend. I'm sure we'll see each other sooner rather than later. Save me a seat at the bar. 🍻

BONHAM COLLAPSED ON THE DRUM KIT IN MID SONG...THE OTHER MEMBERS STOPPED PLAYING...THEN THE LIGHTS CAME ON IN THE CONCERT HALL... Then I woke up, ate breakfast, then got a call from a close friend to turn on the radio... They were announcing Bonham's sudden death the night before! This is my personal testimony and I swear to God it's TRUE! Always love listening to Zeppelin, always will. John Henry Bonham, RIP. ❤️
1980 would have been my chance to see Led Zep at the Philly Spectrum. What a sad turn of events. We saw the Rush Moving Pictures tour in Philly the that night. There were already RIP Bonham banners hanging, and Rush acknowledged his death.
So didn't I. Two other guys and I were going to try and get tickets to see in Orchard Park, NY. That happens to be where the Buffalo Bills play, and Bonham died, and then they canceled the tour.

He had some hard years. First his son died of a stomach virus, and then Jimmy and Bonzo’s addictions impacted the personal relationships. With Bonzo’s death, it was just too much. He continues to speak of missing John, and he has continued to speak of missing Karac. During his solo career he wrote several songs about Karac. I would have loved for them to continue with Jason Bonham but, it’s never going to happen other than the few reunions, the best of which was 2007 Celebration Day. I’m just glad we have the music, videos, and that final concert. I’ve been a Zep fan since 1969 and will be for the rest of my life. I lived during the best era of music ever 1960’s - mid-1980’s.
Losing a child has to be the biggest hurt a person can ever feel. My best friend's middle son died a few years ago, and I swear I don't see how she didn't lose her mind. John Bonham was that one irreplaceable, once in a lifetime friend to Robert Plant. If you lose them as he did you never stop feeling their loss. He was lucky to have him in the first place really. My granddad used to tell me if I could count my real friends on one hand and have fingers left over I was lucky. But I say that there really is only one. RIP John Bonham! You won't ever be forgotten!

They were like brother's, yet bros fight sometimes.Also, John was a really mean drunk and could be real cruel when wasted, as many people have pointed out.

Just saw Plant in Vancouver the other day. He nailed it. The band nailed it! Imagine hearing Robert Plant sing “When the Levee Breaks”. I was straight up tripping!!! So was the audience! Sold out and boisterous with Lots of whoops, yelling, and people at the front! with all the oldsters! My son (19) and daughter (15) were so loud and were cheering along with all the oldsters…I was a proud, stoned daddy! My wonderful wife drove so I could eat my gummies and go in through the out door. It… was… wonderful!!! Vancouver brought it to Robert!! Robert (and Alison) brought it to Vancouver!!
I like to think that those kinds of dreams are two intertwined , connected and bonded souls that are still able communicate in some sort of astral realm, or dimension. When a friend visits me in my dreams, it’s usually a delightful and welcome surprise.

Plant was on tour, his wife informed him that their son was sick and taken to the hospital. In a matter of just hours, Karac was dead and that absolutely crushed Robert. He was devastated and suffered a nervous breakdown. During Karac's funeral, Page didn't even attend it. It's why the song All of My Love was written without Page's involvement and instead Plant co-wrote it with JPJ.

I'm sorry to say that not all bandmates who go from struggling poverty to mega superstardom have such strong emotional ties like Robert Plant. Pity, but when you see the little footage of recorded film there is of Bonzo when Jimmy Page hogged up all the spotlight,it's easy to understand why he has such reservations in a reunion.
And a few days after John's passing, the band announced they were no more. Led Zeppelin was ending just like that. No search for another drummer. A tragic end to a phenomenal band. But Moby Dick lives on in our hearts and minds and through the incredible music that will never die. To be continued...
I think bonham would be disappointed to know they stopped playing because of his passing. Life happens and you have to move on. Celebrate his life with the music

I wonder if Robert misses his own son Karac, who died of some sort of brain infection in 1977, as much as he misses Bonzo.
He died of a stomach virus, and yes, he has continued to speak of missing Karac. During his solo career he wrote several songs about Karac. They are beautiful.
