My friend and I have gained love for the planet Neptune. We first started too love it when we first saw it and it’s beautiful blue color. One day we went to school and our science teacher announced that we have to do a project about a planet with a partner or two. Obviously as friends due, we locked eyes. Our science teacher then said that we would have to pick a planet with our eyes closed and put our hand into a bucket and grab a paper. My friend and I were a little sad at the fact we would have a 50 50 chance of getting Neptune, instead of a 100% chance. My friend picked me to go and dig for a planet. I was so nervous because I really wanted to pick Neptune. I got out the paper and it saiiiiid.....
    NEPTUNE!
We were so excited and our teacher noticed and asked why, and we said, “because we love Neptune!” We couldn’t believe it. So when we started our researching for our project, we started to love it even more! Anyways, I don’t plan to be an astronaut, I just love Neptune, well my friend and I actually. I never heard the sound of Neptune, so this is super cool! Thanks for being awesome Neptune!

Here are some facts about Neptune to read while you listen to this.
    1. Neptune orbits at roughly 30.1 AU. This means it's orbit at times crosses with Pluto.
    2. Neptune takes 164.8 years to orbit once.
    3. Neptune has the fastest winds in the solar system at 2100 kph (580 mps)
    4. Neptune has only been visited by a probe once. The probe was Voyager 2 which visited Neptune in 1989.
    5. Neptune is the smallest jovian planet, being slightly smaller than Uranus.
    6. Neptune has the lowest amount of moons around a jovian plant, at 13.
    7. Neptune's largest moon, Triton, is in retrograde orbit (orbiting Neptune in the opposite direction Neptune orbits) which means that it is on a collision course with it. Triton is also likely a captured KBO, and Pluto may also be captured in this way.
    8. Neptune has the most active weather when it comes to hurricane formation. It has formed several large hurricanes such as The Great Blue Spot, which you can see on screen.
    9. Neptune has a small, fragmented ring system that is incredibly faint.
    10. Neptune is roughly 3 times the size of Earth and anything below that size, but not terrestrial, is known as a gas dwarf.
    11. Neptune and Uranus periodically changed in orbital distance near the beginning of planetary formation, meaning the title for farthest planet constantly changed.
    12. Neptune's atmosphere, like most jovian planets, is composed primarily of hydrogen and helium, but mostly hydrogen.
    13. Neptune completes an orbit every 154.79 earth orbits.
    14. Neptune has a 2:3 orbital resonance with Pluto.
    15. Neptune's moon Nereid has the one of the most eccentric orbits of any solar system satellite at a whopping 0.7512
    16. Proteus, one of Neptune's moons, is quite peculiar as an object of its size and density should be spherical, yet Proteus is non-spherical.

i know a lot of people have commented that this sounds like isolation and loneliness or what the void would sound like, but honestly, to me, it sounds like stillness. like slowing down and listening to the rest of time blurring by, kinda like how it feels when you’re looking out a plane window in the early morning as it starts to land and you can see the world buzzing by below and you feel weightless and distant, observing. this isn’t terror, it isn’t insanity of isolation, it’s being weightless in time

Neptune is the most terrifying planet. I remember watching fireworks as a 5 year old kid at my grandpas country club. Looking into the night sky I thought of something. Not being able to see anything, but being whipped around in a hot, violent storm. I don’t know what popped into my head, if it was death, random little kid fear, or what, but somewhere out there. Is Neptune, it’s cyclone an eye, menacingly staring at me. Watching me, reminding me how insignificant I am and how vulnerable we are. It has the most intimidating aura of all the planets in our solar system. Then you remember, deep within the gas giant, where the thick layers of clouds pile up so deep that sunlight doesn’t shine, where winds faster than the speed of sound blow, the only visibility around the crushing pressure is lighting that echoes throughout the interior of this strange world. No sense of direction, just a mysterious mantle ocean, a violent storm at a magnitude we can’t comprehend. Well now I know what I was thinking of, subconsciously. To me hell does exist. And it’s on Neptune.

Not sure if I'm cracking up, but I'm listening on headphones and I can hear (within or above the lower frequency waves) what sounds almost like a string ensemble..it's very subtle, high frequency, chordal and melodic... But this sound is peace, truth, love, music and energy to me, it's like there's all the good stuff of life put into one single chord :) and dont worry you won't kill anyone, just feel the flow of the wind and water inside your mind or your body, or anything good you wanna emphasize to heal the bad stuff !
