    I use the same flashlight for candling eggs, however, I cut a dishwashing sponge (the kind with no scourer) in half and cut a 3/4" hole in the center of the sponge. Place the sponge on top of the flashlight and then the egg. Works awesome 👍

    I have this same incubator. you cannot trust the temperature reading. Mine reads 3 degrees celsius BELOW the actual temperature. There are instructions for how to calibrate the incubator, but they are so poorly written that it took me a long time to figure out what to do. If you use this incubator, always check the actual temperature with a reliable thermometer.

    • @TheNoobsReviews
      @TheNoobsReviews  Год назад +1

      I agree with the instruction part.. I checked temp with a small thermometer on the first hatched. and it only varied by a degree if not opened, but as we see by the comments there are some bad units out there.

    I hear IncuBrght is used by several quail/ chicken farmers. It is hand held and you can keep the eggs in the tray and candel them one by one.Great review, I would still use a hydrometer, just saying. I like that it had a temp alarm!

      There does seem to be a slight difference in temp on one side but did not seem to effect the hatch rate.

  • @jstar1000
    @jstar1000 Год назад +1

    I have this unit and another one. I really don't care too much for this one, you cant see what the humidity is like you can on my other one and the temp always says the same thing no matter what so not sure if its correct or not. Its OK but my other one is way better, it was more expensive but worth it to me. This is of course an ok back up unit.

    • @TheNoobsReviews
      @TheNoobsReviews  Год назад

      It's a decent unit for the money I did check the temp and it seemed to be holding correctly but you're right about the humidity no real gauge on that. I think that's why I was so surprised to get eight out of nine.
