- The outer jade slider is fixed by the red tubes to one branch of the black cable so it is the driving slider for the roof.
The cable ends are fixed together in the red tubes.
Two beige bars and violet rods prevent the roof from getting into dead points.

My first thought was that you are feeling well again! And afterwards how excellent a model that you have given us. Thank you
I''d move my drives to the sides so you don't see them when opened but other than that It's a good design.
Can I use this for a trapdoor to catch my enemies?
Not suitable. Slow closing speed.
Yes, heck, why just enemies. Why not friends, family, the local politicians,
Local tax collector
@@AidenPearce806 I like your thinking. 😂
@@thang010146 and that's why I try to get advice from people much smarter than me... Back to the drawing board. 😂😂👍👍
Great Sir, Thanks for what you teach us.
Thank for the excellent demonstration as always. I have two questions. Can I use this mechanism for an outdoor coffee shop. Second, there's mechanism when instead of folding it vertical like this, the roof can be retracted on the same planar with bars set up in X formation. My question is that in comparison, which one will be better in the long run.
Your first question: I think it's suitable for an outdoor cafe.
Your second question: I don't know the second mechanism. Can you show pictures or videos of it?
This is the image of the mechanism which I mentioned.

I don't see the prototype used widely in the commercial application so I figured out that it was not best idea, but I don't precisely know what is the disadvantage of that.
Thank for your reply, teacher.
I know it:

Pros: compact, foldable frame
Cons: not very stable due to cantilever structure.

just what I thought of, and you even made a video about it years ago. I'm really thankful for your passion to share your knowledge.
@@iii8765 the design you attached are commonly used here at some Mamak restaurants or cafe in Malaysia.

If you have time, could you design a proof-of-concept:
Some sort of linkage to quickly raise and lower Starlink v2 antenna ~6-7m or more
Lightweight aluminum poles, or 8020
For an RV. (Specifically the "Tab 400", round shape. Perhaps mount near door, or to slide from rear to top.)
Motor ok.
Hand crank ok.
I've been trying to think of something, but I can't.
That was difficult for me. So far I have the following
ruclips.net/video/lKaMo2AasV8/видео.html
Nice mechanism, but it would be more aesthetic and practical in real use if the belt was not visible and obstructing when the roof was open. Maybe if it the motor was turned 90 degrees and drove gears or if the belt was driven off to the side, out of view, instead of in the middle. Just some ideas. Great work.💯
Thank you for accurate comments.
hi can i know the name of the motor you use because im doing retractable roof mockup for my final year project.
It is a AC motor.
Hi, can you please show how a simple car door works? I want to compare with the Scissor car door video that you posted. Love your videos, thank you so much for them.
From en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Car_door
"A conventional door, also known as a regular door is hinged at the front-facing edge of the door, and so allows the door to swing outward from the body of the car. These doors are relatively safe, in that if they are opened during forward motion of the vehicle, the wind resistance will work against the opening door, and will effectively force its closure. The operation of a vehicle door while entering, exiting, or standing outside an opened vehicle door is extremely dangerous, particularly at night, even when looking both ways. The issue is that the vehicle door in most cases provides little or no visual warning to drivers of other vehicles to allow them the time to avoid collisions."

Quick question, what software did you use to make this?
inventor I believe
All videos in this channel are made in Autodesk Inventor, Dynamic Simulation.
Alright, thanks
Thang: Where is my anti-theft parcel drop box we talked about over a year ago?
If you want to charge you have to pay first. For free only your mom can do.
As far as I remember, I couldn't find any solution to prevent theft of your parcel.
Sorry for that.
Its water proof
Is you are able to request more solution accuracy, can you arrive at a stable solution?
Sorry, I don't understand what you mean.
I think this mechanism is a stable solution already.
@@thang010146 it appears to be a multi body dynamics simulation. The equations are numerically integrated by some method, and there might be some parameter(s) exposed which allow you to control the accuracy. I'm just curious if you tried adjusting them.
What I mean by stable solution is that as you reduce the tolerance the result does not change.
My animations are created in Autodesk Inventor, Dynamic Simulation.
The software provides tools for precision control. I didn't use them because there was no need. My animation is only intended to show the working principle of a mechanical mechanism.
