Up to this point I was using headphones if I needed noise cancellation (VRchat or other voice based activities) and wired earphones for gaming. It was the wired earphones I wanted to replace. I have to agree with you that $100.00 is pretty steep, but I had $20.00 off so they only ran me $80. I purchased them primarily for my Quest 2. At my age I have done enough damage to my ears over the years that I was not looking for loud. My focus is clarity. With it's existing setting and the adjustment on my quest for volume I am satisfied with the volume, but I understand others wanting more with their gaming. Also, when I did use it in VRChat the mic picked me up clear enough with little background noise according to those I was talking with. Depending on what you are looking for and how these will be used it's one of those products that will either leave you satisfied or wanting more.
I do wish I'd gotten these at the $80 as that seems like the sweet spot. Especially for people who are going to really use the companion app and get the most out of these
No wireless but better DAC works great. Forget about the 10cm fixed wireless product. Quest Pro has no improvement on the quality of the DAC inside it. Pretty ugly sound.
They are 129.99 here in Canada.. I feel like that's a lot!
I'm glad you actually spent weeks with them instead of reviewing them on the spot like some other reviewers would do. Considering these, but when they get a bit cheaper.
I hear you there. Some things like grips or even head straps can be sized up and reviewed in a few hours or a day but something like these I knew needed more time. I am enjoying them as my gym and phone buds and using them for some gaming but not my main VR audio. Still holding out to see the Bobo solution hopefully this next month!
They're on sale for Cyber Monday.
@@JetScreamer_YT $70!! Definitely much more worth it now! I should return mine and rebuy them 😂
I actually appreciate you buying them yourself. It feels like every other review is too worried about making sure other manufacturers keep sending them products and provided little to no constructive criticism.
We get a mix of products sent and we buy them. The problem is we've always been brutally honest so some companies refuse to send us anything... Then I have to buy it to check it out. The companies I actually have the best relationships with are ones that I didn't like their product and they changed it, fixed it and proved they were dedicated. Instead of just sending me a really angry email... which I get plenty of!
Finally!! An honest review!! I sent these back because they didn't hit as hard as my beats solo 3. Love the concept but they need to pack a harder louder punch.
I’ve pretty much agree with your assessment Jay. They never fit exactly right in my ears, letting sound in and actually kind of ended up hurting after a while. I might’ve been able to play with them and switch the rubber pieces around to get through that but the real problem is the volume was way too low for me, I have a little bit of hearing loss and was looking for something that I could crank up a little louder. When I use them with my phone I was able to increase the volume much higher which leads me to believe since they are “Made for Meta” that Meta has limited the volume to what they feel is loud enough. I wanted so bad for these to work for me, but the volume limitation is a dealbreaker. I would be perfectly happy with these if it wasn’t for that. I really don’t need Meta babysitting me that much!
I have had my VR P10's for about 2 weeks! I do not like them! As you said that they're not loud enough. I am always having issues with connecting as well. I would have to unplug the dongle & plug it back in to get it to connect. When they did connect the latency was nonexistent but still not loud enough. I used the SoundCore app as well . I can say that their other products are nice & work as they should with a good price point. Great Idea but fell short for me. These are definitely not worth the money! I will be returning them. I recently upgraded from a the Frankenquest setup to the BoBoVR w/ battery & bought these for my audio. Still looking for a good audio solution. Your honest reviews are always true & is appreciated! Thanks JayBratt!
Thanks for the cool review! Is it possible to connect 2 phones via bluetooth at once, and receive a call from the phone that calls?
The sound on these is not loud enough on the Quest 2, they work good for listening to music on a smartphone though, still not crazy about earbuds after a while in my ears, I prefer the Logitech earphones on the Quest 2 over these, the overall audio with these earbuds on the Quest 2 is not that good at all, I think
Cool buds like the rgb
I need these in my life
Wow this is awesome
I'm interested in those. However I just bought the Samsung Earbuds 2 Pro and am figuring out to connect them with my Pico 4. Found some software to pair them as it seems that the bluetooth on the Pico is different from Samsnung's???? The advantage of these gaming earbuds is that they stay connected to the Pico 4 I guess....
Got a question for you. Do you think these produce the same level of sound (how loud they get) as the Kiwi Elite strap with headphones or does the Kiwi have louder sound ? Really wanting to know if they are about the same or different. Would appreciate your answer. Thanks.
Nice review. Got them a few weeks ago for 70 dollars (some 30% off promotion on Amazon). I also have sometimes charge passthrough problems and need to re-plug the dongle. Bass is really punchy and sound is good. They are much better tham my Logitech G333 VR or my Galaxy Buds Plus (at least basswise). Aestetics, they are really nice with some 5 colours lighting. I also use them with my phone and laptop. Would recommend the soundcore app for the equalizer. Touch controlls are a little big all over the place, so I do not use them that often. Mirophone is not really that good for phone calls or vr online games. All in all, they are my to-go Quest 2 audio solution until maybe Bobo vr brings theirs.
I got these and I love them.
Is the volume really that low? I’ll receive mine on a few days and i’m curious about it
One of the best reviews I've seen so far. Thanks for all your hard work!
Squid Pickle thank YOU for such a nice comment! Made my morning :D
@@jaybratt :D Aw, I'm so glad! Hope you have a great day!
@@squidpickle I will thank to you! You too!
@@jaybratt Thanks! :D
Hey Jay could you maybe do a ranking of Quest 2 PC cables or maybe talk about the cable you use? Also great video as always can't wait for the next one :)
Would you recommend these if your quest 2 auxiliary port is broken
you are pretty much the only person I truly wanted to see test these out before I get some
Thanks John! They got cheaper now so they are a better deal then when I reviewed them. There's definitely better headphones out there but the way these are designed and the customization options helps. I'm still not in love with them though
@@jaybratt what do you use most often?
@@johnperry6201 BoboVR A2 on ear or these random Etsy off ear speakers that got discontinued ☹️
Did you try these connected to a PC? Because you can't play wired PCVR with these I would like to connect the dongle to a pc and play wired PCVR with them. Also do you have any recommendations for low latency wireless headphones for the Quest 2 and Quest Pro? I have a hard time finding one that fits over the headset comfortably
Hm..also like the function using it in different devicea.Sometimes i use my Corsair Hs80 with a USB splitter Wireless Adapter is USB A but there is also no latency but the quest uses always its integrated mic so most times i use the integrated speakers.
@JayBratt, any luck using this with the magnetic BoboVR D2 charging dock adapter? For me, it seems like the adapter isn't allowing audio to passthrough. I'm a bit sad they abandoned the D2. Maybe I just gotta ask them if it's possible to get just the twin charger without a battery. 3 batteries is slight overkill, no?
They look decent
where can you buy additional usb-c dongle's? I've been looking and can't find any.
They're launching on their own next month I just read. Idk why everything is waiting to launch until next month? Pro controllers, the pros actually working on the Quest 2... Now these 😆
When you talked about latency and how close the dongle is to the left earbud, it still needs to travel through your skull to the right earbud. I had a project using a Raspberry Pi strapped to the vertical section of the Deluxe Audio Strap where the wireless adapter usually mounts, to act as a wireless NAS. Although it worked in testing with the Pi on my desk, it lost connection with the headset when mounted to the rear of my head. I guess bluetooth is stronger than wifi when travelling through a skull. 😋
After trying several times to get some delivered from Amazon or Best Buy, I finally was able to get them. They are now down to $67. I don't know how I like them. I haven't been able to get them to care with my headset yet
I have wireless bose headphones works wonderfully
I just got these at target for $24
That's a GREAT price!!
Pass through charging is 2 weak. Won't charge enough to keep the headset from dieing with external battery. Im returning mine if they fixed that then they would be great
Would love to try these, but still don't see them available in Europe :/
Actually looks like ordering from US Amazon wouldn't be too bad with 10 dollar shipping, but will probably have further import costs and would be hard to return them if I end up not liking them. Hope they will officially come to Europe soon and I can order from local Amazon (or other store with good returns policy).
I’m still waiting for Bobovr! I’m not a fan of earbuds! Great review Jay!
I do plan on picking these up because I like the option of using them on more then just the Quest 2. But I'm looking around the soundcore website and I can't find the dongles by themselves.
They release the singles by themselves for sale until December I believe
release the dongles**
Nice to see one Weaver helping another out 😊
Are these good for airplane flight?
One thing many RUclipsrs aren't mentioning is the problem it has with bobo vr. Maybe it's just me, but when I try to use the bobo vr battery pack with the headphones, I get latency problems. Would appreciate it if you can check it out Bratt :P
Yet again volume is what concerns me the most. My Esty speakers (which I believe are 16 ohm speakers which should be easier to power) struggle to produce enough sound for me. I have to have the volume mostly maximum volume and very occasionally down one bar from maximum but it really is 90% maximum volume at any time and I just wish there was a little more for when I want it. I was seriously considering these although I had also heard of reports of the volume not being that loud and you confirmed my suspicions about this. I am glad you did a video on these. I will keep waiting for the BoboVR headphones in the very small off chance that they can pull the rabbit out of the hat and make their solution just a little louder than everyone else's solutions and if they do they will get my business for sure. The only other alternative is the ridiculous Conquest Pro's which I have heard good things about however they are so crazy priced (even though the price has now dropped to $179 I still thing that spending half of the headset on a pair of headphones for the Quest 2 that you can only use with the Quest 2 is just crazy mad). Hope you can find a great solution in the future. Thanks for the review.
I have read many reviews that say the sound is not loud enough. Does anyone have another recommendation that they like better? I have hearing loss in one ear and need more volume. Earbuds with left/right separate volume control would be best for me. Is there such a thing out there? If not, what is another brand that has a louder volume control? Thanks
I got these recently and can also confirm about the low volume but it's only with the Quest 2. Everything else I've tried them with are as loud as any other pair of earbuds, so there's definitely something going on with the Quest 2 combination.
If you'd rather get something else, then I'd recommend something that plugs into the headphone jack as the benefit of these is avoiding out-of-sync audio by not using Bluetooth. Not sure of any other earbuds that work on 2.4Ghz wireless like these do.
Also, I don't know of any with channel volume separation. Maybe Sony over-ear ones (XM series) might since they're pretty pricey and have all kinds of audio profiles in the mobile app. I just don't know if they carry over when used wired. Sorry, I'm not much help there.
How does dongle work with iPhones and iPads that don't have USB-C? Is it possible to enjoy the same 30ms latency? I wanna buy this, but someone please let me know the ANSWER!😢🙏🏻
does the soundcore vr p10 dongle work with any bluetooth headphones?
Not that I know of. It was directly linked to the soundcores so unless you can reprogram the dongle (maybe through the phone app) it wouldn't work.
It is indeed getting cold here in Portland
Not today at least :D
I think I sent you this message above but just in case:
Idk if you caught the recent videos but we're trying to get the PDX people together to give away a bunch of the excess accessories and stuff I'm sitting on. any update on the bobo vr headphones
They should be out very soon. They already teased them couple of days ago on their Twitter.
How do they compare to the Quest Pro official dual earphones?
much better
Airpods/Airpods Pro works just fine.
Mine won’t connect it seems, any ideas?
Just seeing this review Jay . Have you tried them on Quest 3 yet?
Not yet although this is pretty outdated. The price has dropped significantly and the app added a lot more functionality so these are much better than when I used them. Nat actually uses these on the daily as her podcast during work headphones LOL
@@jaybratt I was watching Mike of the Oasis using them in his recent video for the Quest 3 . He had said he's gonna review them for anyone interested. I'm sick of charging the Bobovr A2 headphones . Such a pain when it starts bleeping that i'm low on power lol
@@Steviedan-ts5pz I'm personally pretty happy with the stock audio on the 3 (surprisingly cuz 2 sucked) but I'll definitely dig into some headphones and see how they do.
I'm watching your new video right now mate. I see you like the Quest 3 without 🎧. Bobo are doing preorders tomorrow with the M2 to M3 thing ☺
Yeah, they sold out instantly too! Bobo is trying to keep up but Amazon is being slow to receive their stock :(
Dual connect is misleading. It will only play sound from one device at a time not both at at the same time like my arctis pro wireless. It switches between Bluetooth and dongle depending which is playing sound. I bought these for the Dual audio feature. Feel ripped off.
“Pass through and noise cancellation” would be nice. 😉
Can you do a review on the Pico 4?
I bought mine with an extra dongle for $60 lol
I saw these were on sale almost everywhere right now. I have a Target coupon for a $40. I had to get the Target red card. $30.30 Bob's your uncle!
I pick him up in the morning.
I have the deluxe audio strap (which I love) but I can just move them out of the way.
I'd love to hear what you think! At that price though they're gonna feel like the steal of the century!
First time seeing your channel. Absolutely LOVE that your review was after extended trial period with them. Love to see that persepective and how your first impressions might change.
They are on BF sale now at bestbuy for $79
See your wearing the shirt you got lol
These or g333?
They added functionality to these with the app so they're much better now. I'd say these because not only that but you can use them for anything. I take them on trips all the time
Your adorable
Thank... You? ☺️
I got mine for $47.99
These are 69.99 now niiice.
Very nice!! Also that's a good price, worth it!
After finishing all my chore I can play among us vr
First ohh maaa gaaawwdd
OMG!!!!
100?💀😂
Dat price doh!
the battery is terrible i talked with soundcore, they give me the stock firmware(to test because i updated to the last firmware), left earbud is discharged faster, i turn everything off so i did got 4.30h (connection with dongle)with lights off, i never seen 5h, so 6h you can't forget about it!
A
Edit: Speed
The one letter to save time? FAST!
@@jaybratt I either do A or Speed
If you know what you're doing with an equalizer, these are amazing. My guess is that you ppl simply don't know how to use an equalizer. I have a preset for Destiny for MW2 and other games I play. As for how loud they are, I could never play MW2 or Destiny at max volume without causing hearing loss, so you ppl crying about volume must really wanna damage your ears, lol.
XBox? I thought this wasn't compatible with XBox.
The volume sucks to the degree that I’d rather just use wired ones - they’re literally unusable imo
10cm wireless with lag? Are you okay? Better buy a ESS DAC and wired USB audio works 10,000 better with astonishing sound quality. Wireless earbuds are total waste of money!
just bought these with my own money because i wear eye glasses and headsets can hurt my ears over time. this is complete garbage. sound muddy bass/mids lack/treble scratches and sound is never loud enough. I had skull candy buds in 2005 for 20 bucks that had better sound and louder. Within 30 mins was very uncomfortable IN my ears with medium tips. dongle is not easily connected or recognized at all when "easy to use instant 2.4 hertz dongle" FALSE!!! Just DONT buy and this is not a sponsor advertisement THIS IS CAP LOL
Lmao ok buddy. They work flawlessly with my psvr2. Soundcore has BADASS customer support. I garuntee you if you reach out and tell them they sound TERRIBLE they will replace them 🤷♂️
These are pure garbage, do not buy these trust me, sound is horrible
I personally didn't recommend them at their high price either. Did you try the EQ settings on the app to see if you could make it any better?
@@jaybratt yeah I tried every eq setting I could possibly try, even all the preset ones and I just couldn’t get it to sound right, I mean damn even these £20 earbuds I got sound better than them without even having to adjust anything! Don’t think il be buying anymore soundcore earbuds, put me right off them.
Hi, Can you put a link to be able to buy an extra dongle? Please please please!!! I can't find it 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
