I've been stuck with this for almost 2 years. "Generic Monitor (Splashtop)" was my problem. Changed it to "Generic Monitor" and it finally worked after all these years 😭 Thank you so much. ♥️

Shanaia if you use computers then this method didn't help for you ... If you want to change your screen brightness go to your monitor and change with your monitor buttons
