Awesome stuff! Used to have childhood playground fights over whether Megadrive (Genesis in other parts of the world) or Super Famicom (Super Nintendo for other parts) was better. I chose Sega Megadrive since it was more badass to me and I could see more naked ladies and decapitated heads but it was like an endless fight about whether Streets of Rage or Final Fight was better. I think I won in the end (although I think they beat me on Mario vs. Sonic), and I think this awesome remix helps my point! I do think that capsule-shaped SF/SNES controller was way better with the trigger buttons and the X/Y/A/B, but at the end of the day the Sega system was way more punk rock to me. Also from programmer-oriented standpoint (this is my profession now), SNES had more hardware acceleration and support for sprite scaling, rotation, and transparency, but Genesis had a faster processor if we wanted to do really weird stuff no one else had ever seen before.
